♪ Are you comfortable playing your muse?
If this is asking if I’m comfortable with how I write her, then yes, I really am at ease with how I’ve shaped her up until now you know, so it’s just, it flows and I rarely ever meet a dead end with Hyeri. And even when I do, I manage to pull through it, because she’s Hyeri and somehow, she guides me more than I do at times. So I rarely ever feel uncomfortable when I play her.
But if it’s asking if I’m comfortable with who my muse is as a person, then it depends—seriously depends, because have you seen her values??. ]

it's in the blood; march 1st, 2014
In the way the knife always did it no matter how tough the skin was, no matter how thick the flesh was. Truth was, the thicker, the better. It just slid in without an ounce of hesitation, her movement almost gracious.
There was that too, the grace, the softness, the gentleness that contrasted the act of cutting through. It was ecstatic, all of it, brought a buzz to her brain like nothing else could. At least untill the tip of the knife met the resistance of a bone. The muffled sound the man then made had her frowning a little, but not because his voice interrupting her annoyed her. But because this was a dead end..
"We should've just been born boneless." She let out, knowing how ridiculous of a statement that was. Her voice only addressed to herself.
Pulling it out has some fun to it too, did you forget?
"Oh no, no I didn't, I just," she shook her head, glancing up at the stranger--a lucky pick. Not for him at least, she could feel bad about this, she wanted to. But he made it so easy not to because all the guilt passed right through her an as it came to him he just brushed it aside.
Don't you wanna see, just how far you can go?
Hyeri did, very much so. Curiosity piqued which made her always gave in and this was just her fourth one. Why wasn't she get better faster than this?
Pull it out.
Right, pulling it out. She loved putting it in, she loved hearing the flesh rip apart as the metal blade made its way through veins. But when it came out. That was just pure bliss because it didn't take long, just one slide and it did more damage than when it cut through in.
Out was more dangerous, more thrilling, out was the little knife, out was the sound the victim made, out was everything, out was his voice everything out and lou for the world to hear.
Not his screams though, the world should not hear that or they would lock her again. Take her freedom away once again. She fought for this freedom and she fought to get this canvas.
Indeed.
"Why a canvas?"
Doesn't it sound poetic?
Not really, she felt like saying but the heavy breathing of the man--the canvas--was getting on her nerves. Maybe it was time to end it. She stood from where she was, taking a few back steps, knife swirling through her fingers effortlessly.
That as soon as her eyes fell on her work she understood what he meant, why he chose that word to address the before of the current being. Slashes where the skin was revealed, where she'd taken his shirt off.
Slashes so deep that the blood wouldn't stop spilling. skin that was so perfect at first now bloodied, soaked wet in red paint, pooling at her feet. So much blood, the scent of it almost intoxicating, it reminded her of the feeling of her blade against her skin.
Cool and enticing.
He won't last.
"He won't last."
Humans, they're all so fragile, even you.
A breeze past her shoulder, against her neck, her eyes closing to the feeling for the brief moment he became too real.
"I'll learn to make it last, I'll make it last, for hours, on and on and they'l cry and scream, for hours." She looked up at the clock she hung up in the room a week before she started. She had to get everything ready before the hunt, always. Two hours, she lasted two hours.
The first time hand't even lasted thirty minutes. A failure she hated dwelling on. The second one, forty minutes. The third one, an hour and half.
Because she'd practised, she learned every way to make it last, cutting the right way, the right veins so that the body did lose blood, the pain stayed and the brain stilled as well. The first time the victim collapsed before she could even get to the end of it. she'd been forced to end it abruptly and it had but them both in the worst of mood.
The second one had been just the slightest bit better but the third one. She would always remember it. She screamed the most, she gave so much. An hour and a half and she was still breathing--barely even. Short puff of hair that could hardly make their way through the tissue in her mouth.
Too tired, probably dosed with too much to know that her nose could take in as much air as she wanted. Or maybe too exhausted and wishing death would take her if she refused to breathe by her nose. It hadn't mattered. Hyeri'd taken all her time and she'd been so satisfied that she'd been ecstatic for the next one.
She hadn't even felt twinge of regret or guilt when she put an end to it. The end was always by the throat. A quick slice that always ended  the job perfectly done, always made mre blood spill down the ground. So many carpet had been burned by now that she was glad she'd found this abandoned place where no neighbours existed.
It only hit her the next day, it alays only hit her the next day that she killed again. Bloody hands that she would wash over and over again, stopping the tears from falling because they wouldn't do anything.
Why cry, leave that to those who witness your art.
Art, he called it art. She understood why, she knew why, the more she cut, the more she understood, the more he became part of her, the more she let him in, the more she wanted to cut. The ore she cute, the more she lost control and the blood.
The blood that ran down her hands, past her shoes and slipped under her nails. Blood that she would sometimes bring to her mouth, always surprised at how warm it was against her tongue, despite the cold way it tempted her nostrils.
Finish it.
She did, tip of the nose against the throat of the man. His eyes wide, his head shaking, new tears, dry tears, all mixed against his skin. The face still this pale colour that could not compare to the beauty of the red that her hands left on the rest of his body.
Such a shame, that he couldn't see it, how more enticing, how more beautiful he was like that. Whimpering as the tip of the knife dug in, deeper, deeper.
Hurry, the sun will rise soon.
With the sun comes the urgency to clean it all, to hide away again. She slid the blade down onto his adam apple, looking it bob up and down, not letting him do it twice, thrusting the knife right through his throat.
Canvas? It reminded her more of a pig than a work of art. But she dared not to let her thoughts be known by him. She kept that to herself. Some things were better kept to herself, the way that he spoke, the way that she spoke, the difference in it made her feel inferior enough as it was.
His mind, her mind, running in parallel lines always made her feel uneasy. Was she being played, was she playing him? At times those questions rose, but she always shut them down. Because at the end of it all the only thing that mattered was what reconciled those differences..
the essence that is life itself, blood

Jooyeoon was probably right, it wouldn't be a good idea to drink then go skydiving but damn would it feel good she mused for a moment, still tasting the bitterness on her tongue. She would like to give the idea a try, because it just seemed like the best refreshing way to get rid of the taste.
Let the sky wash away what bitterness the drink would have let imprinted in her mouth. She felt herself wanting to squirm on spot, but the hot liquid that'd already settled in her veins somehow, buried under her flesh, kept her still, relaxed and she almost felt her thoughts being put together one per one.
She felt like mentioning that the reason why she was the only twenty year old she knew who hadn't downed a drop of alcohol was because she was probably the only twenty year old Jooyeon knew who'd lost her years in an asylum. But she only thought about it, did not blurt it out. How careful her thoughts were right now, how warm she felt, how in control and relaxed she felt, it almost beat the effect that sweets had on her.
Just almost.
She looked at her friend on her side, her bottom tucked under her teeth as she thought and thought but said nothing and the magic of it had her grinning sheepishly. "You know what, this isn't so bad." she voiced before taking the drink from Jooyeon's hand and downing a larger portion this time, swallowing with a grimace still but letting out a sigh as she did so.
She definitely disliked the taste, but the buzz it killed, she adored that. She wanted to bask in the quietness that settled under her fingers, still, not shaking anymore and how clear everything was getting. She didn't know why other people drank, or why Jooyeon did. Acquired taste she said?
"Considering you're the only person who would like to see me drunk or get me to drink, I think we're safe on that side." She was talking and she could barely recognize her voice. It sounded foreign, as if she was hearing an echo of her words. She felt so posed that even the little elusive chuckle that left her as she rested her chin against her palm sounded normal to her.
No more voices, just, this silence. She could focus on Jooyeon sitting there next to her and realise that her tenderness for this woman ran somehow deeper than just pure friendship. Over time, how had she learned to actually consider her family? She couldn't recall, but she felt the urge to tell her that, but managed not to.
Instead she remembered the face her friend had made earlier, the pout that'd appeared on her face and all that slipped was, "You're really pretty, how do you do that?"
Another soft chuckle, a surprised one. This was thrilling. She had to hide her face, crossing her arms over the counter as she discarded the drink once more and tucking her face safely in it. Hide the heat on her face and the urge to laugh at anything right now. Mostly, the joy she felt at hearing nothing but her voice, the music, her thoughts and Jooyeon's voice.
Everything being so real, so normal.
[...]
Jooyeon pouted at Hyeri’s dissatisfaction, although she had to admit, “You could call it an acquired taste.” Why did she drink anyway? Mostly to be sociable, and also as an excuse to be sillier than she already was. “It might not taste that great at first, but it makes everything ten times funnier once you’ve had a few drinks,” she said truthfully. “The most important thing is to know your limit, especially for a girl.” This was when her expression turned serious — she didn’t joke about things like this. “If you overshoot your limit, best case scenario is puking by the roadside, and you don’t really want to think about the worst case.”
Raising a finger, she added, “And of course, always drink only when you’re with people you trust, like me.” Shooting Hyeri a wink, she lifted the glass to the girl’s hands again. “Maybe you’ll like it more this time.”

Tina & Hyeri - Portrait session
The girl clearly didn't know the difference between a photoshoot and a portrait drawing. It took a lot of stop moving, no you can't go pee now it's getting good. Would you stick to that pose? Do not get any cramps now. But then it was done and one thing was for sure Hyeri was never ever giving her friend this favour again.

Hyeri & Danbi - You reap what you sow
Once upon a nightmare, was a girl who went looking for love. She stumbled until she fell in an endless pit of deception and pain. Pain so strong that she was numb when she rose from the ashes of her remains. Now tainted by hatred, her soul sought revenge on those who caused her death.

That she noticed little things at times without meaning to, at times it bothered her, at times it just rolled off without even being acknowledge. Like how while taking back her phone, mouth pursed, she almost mentioned that it was solid enough to not break if it fell because the other girl seemed almost too careful. But that slipped quickly by, because then Hyeri's mind was picking on texting the number that was just put in her device to make sure that she also had hers.
"There, sent a text, so now you got mine too." Which consisted of just one of those japanese emoticons she'd saved and actually was still in need of more.
"Tekken, I started with Tekken, I think? I can't quite remember, but it was a fighting game, Tekken is the one I remember the most. Tomb Raider was a favourite, they brought a new one, Christ I could die, it's magic. Truth be told I started with the bigger consoles rather than the smaller ones. Like the first PS up to the latest ones then I got kind of addicted to MMORPGs."
A smile bloomed on her face, eyes brightening as well as she thought back to her first time holding a controller, "I was probably seven the first time I started, I ain't even sure, but my brother brought me into this."
She hadn't even thought the other would actually know that many games, it was always somehow of a wonder, a great one. A really great one that she had to not let out an embarrassing squeal at, which came out in this strangled sound in the back of her throat. Her hands tapping her cheeks a few times "I'm a hardcore player and for someone who's not a real player, I can tell you that you know enough to be called a gamer, you kind of know some of the classics."
The girl smiled, her gaze now focusing on entering the numbers correctly. Sometimes Seohyun’s motions were quicker than her mind and so it took time for her to control the pads of her fingers until she entered the digits in a right way. The phone was different from what Seohyun owned and so the tip of her tongue poked through her lips in concentration before she finally figured out how to save her number in Hyeri’s device. When it was all settled her arm reached out, fingers curled around the phone carefully; the device was so thin that it seemed like it’d melt away in her grip. Seohyun’s nostrils widened slightly as she exhaled the air from her lungs when Hyeri had it safely tucked in her pocket again and she herself felt relief that she didn’t ruin the phone. The former idol and electronics just didn’t go along well.
The topic was now games and the girl decided to remember every single game she ever played in her life. “Well… When I was a kid I liked to play Nintendo. I remember I had the Lion King, Little Mermaid and Looney Tunes. Then it changed to play station and Tekken was the game I always played-. Hmm. Aladdin. Mostly Disney based games. Mario Kart.” She scratched her cheek in thought. “Also I liked to play Tomb Raider and still do. Mostly adventure games, neh.” Seohyun knew she wasn’t any pro, when it came to such things and she always felt like a newbe in this department.
"I’m not a real player." She chuckled softly. "But I like to play, when I have time. And you?" She assmued, that Hyeri really wanted to talk about it, because she was the one who asked. She would like to hear the stories of her companion about it, hoping she’d reveal more about the game industry and playing in general. Seohyun really lacked information when it came to this.
