I'm autistic and it affects how I am sometimes, especially with social boundaries and wording, functioning. I feel like people ignore all these aspects because they have an unusual romanticized version of autism in their head, where they just water the disorder down to acting "quirky" and "cringe but free" or "#stimboard aesthetics " but this shit actively affects my life(mostly for the negative part)
I feel like autism is only acceptable when it's palatable to other people, a non burden. but once they see a person who is high support needs or genuinely "cringe" they are suddenly ok to bully and are "unacceptable" to society.
