He prefered seeing her a bit more smiling and positive. He took her hand and they both bamfed to their destination, a little bit off , but still there. He looked around, made sure his glamor was still on and looked at her. " You okay? " he asked because she has not bamfed in a while.

Kitty eyed his outstretched hand and she pondered for a moment. Not that she didn't feel comfortable bamfing but because she still found it sweet that he was asking her permission before just taking her hand. "You may," she said, taking his hand and holding on tightly.

"Touché" Kurt made the most confused face at Josh and what he was saying. "I know that, but.... " his tail flickered from one side to the other. "Your stress levels are making me stressed and I was not even thinking of impending doom before this very second. Who are you here to see then , maybe I can help you track them down ? " he asked.

“Not as funny as you, but still got my jokes.” Such as they were. “Nah, I don’t want to draw attention, otherwise everyone would want me to make their pets young again, make them young again.” Life and death were a natural cycle, he wanted to interfere with it as little as possible.

Josh sighed, “I’m still not as… in control of myself as I’d like to be. Away in the mountains there’s less stuff there to, overstimulate me. I just don’t want to tempt fate and hurt anyone here, you know?” He asked, “It’s so easy for people to think we’re monsters,” he was proof of that, “The less ammunition we can give them the better.” And that meant keeping himself scarce.

Kurt was surprised by her decision. He was also not in his normal form, his bracelet was on to appear human. He wasn't ashamed of himself, but those people in front of him had other issues and problems and it was just easier to blend in. "It has. " he agreed as he continued to serve the people in the line. "Bless, I have been well, I am studying to become a priest , I found my way back to God, and I am trying to help as many as I can. " He looked at her. "And you ? Have you been adjusting to - " he wasn't sure how to word it to not be inconsiderate. "Your new condition and living quarters ? "

Betsy closed her eyes at the scream but didn't flinch. She didn't expect to jump-scare him like this and didn't feel very sorry about it. It felt like karma doing its job. "My bad Kurt." She still apologized to stay polite. Looking down at the soup and then the homeless around, it suddenly made sense. "Obviously." She commented with a small smile. Sometimes, it felt good to remember that Kurt was one of the good ones. She looked around and finally took an empty bowl, not asking for permission, and purred some soup in it. "How are you doing?" She asked the elf, putting down the bowl, ready to be served or taken, whatever was best. Betsy didn't wish to help, not really. It was just a good excuse to stay there and speak a bit with her friend. "It's been a while." She added, glancing at him.

"AAAAAAAAH" The mutant screamed and jumped a bit. For someone who could literally disappear into the shadows, and had enchanced skills, he did not even realize someone was behind him. Thankfully he had reflexes and did keep the soup bowl in his tail. He turned. "Ach du heiliger Jesus ( holy jesus) , you scared my soul away Betsy. " he replied a hand on his fast beating heart. "I'm giving out soup to the homeless."

Not this time, not with this new law. Maybe Betsy lost some of her faith because of the war but this time, she refused to take part in all of that, she was done playing the hero and paying the price for it. She had her own problems to deal with, she had to clean her own mind, calm down the stolen memories, and compartmentalize the pain. She decided she could handle it, just like she handled all the shit of her past. The Skrulls may have stolen her body and face, they may have stolen her brother, but they could go f*ck themself for stealing anything else.

Telepathically privileged, the Hammer wasn't a big deal, Betsy wasn't living like a fugitive but still avoided pointless attention. Known faces were most of the time spotted from at least two blocks away. Anyway, all that fuss to say that, no. Betsy wasn't surprised to meet those eyes in front of her. "What are you doing here?"

" Ah, there it is. " he wondered when the urgency would be brought up. "Ach weiss du ( you know) if I could do that to a dog, I would too, don't forget to put him in the...guinessworld book..you get paid for records!"

The devil made a face. "But what's the hurry ? Why are you dangerous? "

"I thought it was pretty funny actually." he shrugged, but then monks weren't known for the best sense of humour. "I don't want to stay long Kurt, I'm too dangerous to hang around."

He looked down at himself moving a hand back and forth, "That's one word for them, keep my dog young," that got a small smile from him.

"Fantastisch ! " he exclaimed. He hesistated a moment then put his hand out. "May I bamf us there? " he asked for her consent. Not just grabbing her. "Or maybe you prefer to walk the distance? "

Kitty laughed softly under her breath as she shrugged. "I don't know if it's perfect but there's place on Ash street that has really good sea salt caramel." She also felt far from perfect but she didn't want to pull away from the moment or Kurt's enthusiasm.

"Oh great... another traumatised-I-am-going-to-deflect-with-bad-humour mutant who doesn't plan to stay long but we all know that's a lie." His tail flickered.

"Thanks, I would say the same but your genetics are just OP"

"No more than being blue and fuzzy does." Josh said quietly, looking up at Kurt and pulling his sopping beanie off and attempting to tug his hair back. "Oh you know, coping." he shrugged, "I don't plan to stay here for long, I just need to apologise to some people and... yea." he licked his lips and shrugged.

"You're looking good though, picture of health."

"I guess, being golden does not make you rain proof, ja ? " Kurt joked as he approached Josh , who he hadn't seen in years, just sit down at the main entrance, while he closed his umbrella and shook some of the wetness off. "how have you been Josh? " he asked.

Josh's School Return {OPEN!}

It doesn't look any different was the first thought to cross Josh's mind as he walked (in the pouring rain) up path to his old home. He'd hated first coming here, ostracised from his parents, his friends, alone and scared with golden skin that disgusted him. Well, at least now he could look in the mirror.

The young man's complexion was a beautiful gold with small patches of black seeming to move and shift of their own accord, though only a little of his face and hands could be seen. His hair (so blonde it was almost white) was now shoulder length and mostly covered by a ratty old beanie- in fact, all his clothes seemed old, though certainly cared for.

With a sigh, he squelched his way into the main entrance hall of the school, ignoring the looks of now unfamiliar students, plonked himself down on a bench and waited to be noticed; living with monks was a fantastic way to build patience.

"Ja, ice-cream sounds like an excellent idea. Any idea where to get the perfect one for the perfect girl? "

Kitty thought about it and shrugged. "I don't know....maybe ice cream?"

Kitty settled in the pew as she gazed back at the stained glass. “I didn’t want to be alone,” she replied with the smallest smile on her face, “and I figured I would find you here.”

"And that is also fine Kitty. As long as you acknowledge it and use it to better yourself. It is really a step by step procress. " he smiled at her. "Was there something you needed? " he asked wondering why she had come to the church.

Kitty felt her blush grow in her cheeks. “I’ll try, Kurt. It’s just hard sometimes, y'know?”

“Ach…these were the younger days…I haven’t done this for a while now.” He realized. He had been focused on his studies, that much was true.  “Well of course, let me just find my glamour…I never can remember where I put it” he  chuckled while looking for the device in all of his pockets.

"Was? (what) " He did not really have time to say anything else because she had put her hand on his mouth. He nodded that he would not make another sound and put himself behind her. "Maybe you should retract your winds to be more...euh...stealthy ? " he suggested.

Kurt was on his way back to his room from the kitchen. He had taken a little snack and was now munching on an apple when he spotted wings not so hidden around a corner. He recognized the new addition to the team : Pixie. He was curious as to what she was so focused on, so bamf right next to her and looked in the same direction. There was a group of people and he barely registrered it when he flinched just as she did when biting in his apple. “oh lieber Hergott ( omg) ” He just seemed confused. “I was looking at what you were looking at… what are you doing ? ”

pixie had been so focused on the new mission she made up in her mind that she had not been aware of where she was. or how close she was to her friends house until he was suddenly right next to her. “you scared the hell out of me hurtyn!” she said putting her hand over his mouth to keep him quiet or else he would blow her mission. “i think these guys have stolen something and are about to sell it. i’ve been following them.” she said moving her hand away and peering around the corner at them.

Kitty felt her cheeks flush a bit and she tried to hide it as she let her hair fall in front of her face. “Well, you might be the only one that thinks that….but I appreciate it, Kurt. Really.”
