I really hope to get back to write soon.

I wrote a veeery long fan fiction years and years ago, many people liked it, so I want to rewrite it in "New" style.

So, Flan is the main antagonist of this arc, simply called "Flan arc". A very bad alien, yes.

The Mew Mew here is the main protagonist, Angel, and by her appearance it's clear who she is.

Both are scarred in the face, in fact, they're more similar than they look.

The other characters are almost all TMM canon characters, there are just two OC secondary characters: Flan's son and Angel's uncle.

Obviously Aoyama. He is a complex and round-developed character, he grows in every episode and in every episode he shows a different shade of himself, and he changes completely in the end of series following a clear and coherent evolution.

Quiche, on the other hand... I even wrote a detailed post explaining why his character is very badly characterised, he is always the same for 3/4 of series and then he changes randomly, without a psychological analysis, a growth, a reason.

Never liked fossil-like characters. 😌

it's always so wonderful reading a so good opinion about Masaya 🤩 and yes, luckily New's Masaya is a completely different character than 2002 series' one.

I'm watching the Tokyo Mew Mew reboot and can I just say... Masaya Aoyama is so great this time around? He was like a cardboard standee in the first show but he actually has so much personality this time I love it.

Also the animation especially in the second season is amazing holy shit.

Another drawing about my fan fiction.

Enjeru (Angel) is obviously Masaya and Ichigo's daughter, Ken is her younger uncle and Rau... well, is Rau.

Ken is one year younger than Angel and when they're little he's very shy and weak, and he always hides behind his niece's back. When they're teen, he's obviously tall and strong, but Angel still acts as the leader of the duo and they're very affectionate to each other.

They soon part their ways, but Angel will think about him a lot through her coming of age story with the other canon characters.

After a year, I'm inspired and ready to draw again! And writing again, specifically to rewrite my old fan fiction, using this time TMMN as a basis.

It was called simply "Tokyo Mew Mew- Flan arc", and it was very appreciated at the time. Mainly for its main character, her complex personality and her coming-of-age story. It was a direct sequel of the main series, and all of the characters -canon and OC- were very important to the plot, and all of them were well developed. At the time, it was the only Italian long-fic where ichisaya ship had a primary importance to the plot. And it was even the longest one, almost 100 chapters.

Now I'm ready to write it again, shorter this time, just like TMMN is shorter than TMM, and with new relationships and characters stories, different from the old fanfic. Just like New's characters are different from the old series.

The Italian dub valorised this scene even more. In the Japanese dub, Ichigo begins her line with "I too..." so it was obvious she wanted to say "I love you" afterwards, so it wasn't clear Masaya's tension.

But in the Italian dub, Ichigo says "you have to know that...", so Masaya's tension is perfectly believable. He doesn't have any hint Ichigo wants to say "I love you", and maybe he expects her to finally confess she's a Mew Mew. So her suddenly love confession hits him even more and he has every reason to cry. 🥹

Hiiii! Actually I stopped to do them at the episode 18, because after it Masaya and Ichisaya had so so so many things to analyse that I couldn't keep up with the episodes. But I want to finish the "series" because now there's the Italian dub that motivates me more. The ep 19 is almost finished (I stopped during the writing), so thanks for reminding me, I'll do my best to complete it!

Breaking news for TMMN Italian dub! Ichigo's mother is voiced by old Ichigo's voice actor (Debora Magnaghi), and we knew about that, buuut... Ichigo's father is voiced by old Masaya's voice actor too (Patrizio Prata)! 🤩

It's so gorgeous and nostalgic for an Italian old fan like me! And Ichigo's father voice is so hilarious especially because is the complete opposite of his old character. Prata was so calm as Masaya in the old series, here he's totally crazy 🤣

And it's almost moving hearing Sakura saying to Shintaro, all with their old Ichigo and Masaya's voices "we were already dating at their age". It feels like old Ichigo and Masaya grew up, had a daughter of their own and the history repeats itself. And with old Masaya's voice as Shintaro, that "he resembles me when I was younger" is even more hilarious! Even if now I don't watch the old series anymore, I can't forget how much I loved old Masaya and Ichigo, before New.

It's really a great favour to old fans, I thank so much Yamato Video for that 💖💙

Today I was melting on the floor, why?

Because today the Italian dub of ep 12 has been released, and they translated Masaya's "suki da yo" with "ti amo da impazzire", which means "I love you madly". And he says it with such a passionate and sweet voice... 💙

Oh, and they translated Ichigo "suki desu" with "ti amo tanto", which means "I love you so much". 💖

They put much more emphasis and passion in this scene, it was all over my expectations!
