A peer listener is a fellow student who’s trained on the correct way to be a confidential listener. Basically, that’s someone who listens to what someone is thinking or feeling and does their best to help the person feel safe, comfortable, and heard, but doesn’t give advice on any of the topics. They’re also not mandatory reporters.

I actually created a club on campus earlier this semester called ‘I’m All Ears’ where people can stop in to Holiday 215 and talk to a peer listener whenever they want/need to. When we’re open, of course.
