    "I don’t doubt your less than fatal assessment, Loki. I just wish to do my job." The goddess sighed and rolled her eyes. "Honestly, you’re such a child sometimes."

      "Do you honestly think that would work? I'm not stupid, Sigyn, I would have done that if I could. But those creatures are below such tactics. They wouldn't understand what I was offering to them. If someone were to bring them them paradise, they would destroy out of fear for the unknown. No - I was just talking to them in their own language."

    Sigyn pursed her lips and turned her head away. “I guess… I guess I just find it hard to understand why you took such a brutal course of action. You’re a prince, a trained battle stratgiest and politician. You effectively know how to conquer a realm without bloodshed. Why throw all that out the window?”

      "Oh, plenty. The Nine Realms are not mine yet, so there is still work to be done." He smirked down at the fellow trickster threateningly. "However some rather more pressing business has come up here on Midgard. How can I hope to conquer whole realms when my very identity isn't wholly mine? I think you know what I'm talking about. From what I hear you've been pretending to be me again. Now if you can tell me I've been misinformed, I'll chalk it up to experience and leave. But if you can't... well, I'm not going to be happy."

      Tempe's words had a little bite to them, but it was nothing Loki hadn't heard before. "I'll be the first to admit I'm flawed - but also the first to point out all that I can offer."

     Silence. Everything was usually silent in the forest. Birds barely chirped, leaves barely rustled… the only noises that ever seemed to be here were either from the occasional traveler or the cozy cabin that was hidden among the trees.

     A solitary boy lived in that cabin: Levi Colten. The brunet currently sat on his sofa with a book in one hand and a pencil in the other in order to annotate if he came across interesting parts of the novel (which, in this case, was The Giver)_. _Levi was interrupted in his reading when he looked out the nearest window and saw someone approaching his home. He set the book gently on the small table in front of him, stood up, and strode over to the door. He flipped the latch to unlock it and awaited the stranger’s arrival. 

      Loki stumbled out of the portal, completely disorientated and lost. When they'd brought him back to Asgard, his normal pathways had been closed off in an attempt to keep him trapped, so he had had to improvise. As a result he had no idea where he was, not even the realm he had fallen into. There were trees, he could see that, but that could still be anywhere. Vanaheim, Jarnvithr, Midgard... there was no way of knowing.

    He regained his feet and looked into the distance. There was a light, shining through the darkening forest as night fell. Around him the bird's were serenading the sunset, and he couldn't help but feel he'd interrupted perfect serenity. Still, there was no turning back no. He didn't even know if the portal went two ways. So, with no other possible plan, he headed towards the light. It wasn't too far away, but the energy it had taken to transport himself had greatly reduced his vision, so he only made out the little cabin built up around the light when he was but a few metres out of the clearing around it. Finally he stumbled up onto the doorstep, hearing someone shuffling on the other side. He was in luck - as long as the person on the other side wasn't hostile. He only hesitated for a second before knocking on the door.
