Live Stream: Braille Skating

Braille skating is a Youtube channel/Skateboarding line that is quite popular. Recently they had a live stream (April 2, 2017) of two of the employees playing a game called “SKATE”. SKATE is similar to HORSE in Basketball, where one person performs a trick and the other must repeat it, and if they fail, then they gain a letter until someone spells out SKATE and loses.

Well, in this live stream, they decided to play the game of SKATE on a skateboard with a bed of nails...which really doesn’t sound like a very smart idea. The guys are pretty nervous about it in the beginning of the video. They start off with pretty simple tricks, not wanting to hurt themselves obviously. 

Doug (One of the guys competing) is the first one to receive an S, for failing to do a trick that Fetty (The other guy) completed. After a bit, Doug starts to feel the nails on his feet when he does one of the jumps. After that he received another letter, making him be at SK. They are definitely more reserved in this video with the tricks they do because, again, it’s a bed of nails and no one wants to end up in the hospital with impaled feet. I don’t even know how they even do it, considering I can’t even skate on a normal skateboard. The whole thing seems pretty nerve racking to me.

Doug is losing still at this point with a SKA and Fetty still has no letters. Fetty does a kick flip and it’s pretty cool and impressive. He feels the nail go through his shoe a bit, though. Doug follows it up with a fail, so he now has the letters SKAT. Normally, he would be out of the game in the next letter, but at this point of the stream they decide they want to add more letters because it wouldn’t be any fun if no one bleeds. So they increase the game to SKATEGODS just to make it a bit more interesting (Which makes the guys competing not too happy)

Throughout the live stream, people are commenting different tricks they want the guys to do. Most of which are completely insane, but the most insane one of all was someone paid them money to do a handstand on the board...of course, they didn’t do it unfortunately. I was relieved though, since I don’t particularly want to watch nails go through someone’s hands (or feet for that matter).

The score now is SKATEG for Doug, and still no letters for Fetty. Fetty is pretty much running the whole thing, because Doug has on very thin shoes, so he’s pretty hesitant and scared about everything he does. He has also played on the bed of nails board before, and it ended pretty bloody. So you can’t really blame him for kind of sucking. He does step up his game and completes a kick flip that Fetty can’t follow up with, earning him his first letter of S.

Eventually, someone pays the camera guy to do a kick flip on the board, so he gets a shot on the bed of nails as well. He’s not too good at it though, so it takes awhile for him to complete it.

They get back to the game after that, and of course Fetty is the winner. No one bled too much, which is good I guess. Although I’m pretty sure a lot of the watchers wanted that to happen. So in conclusion, these guys are pretty crazy and entertaining to watch, Especially when danger is involved.
