You will need: 💫rose quartz (or carnelian) 💫pink salt 💫a small jar or container 💫honey 💫mint leaves

Optional: 💫an orange candle 💫patchouli incense

1. Gather your materials, and light your candle and incense (if you have them).

2. Layer your ingredients in the jar; honey, mint leaves, pink salt, and ash from the incense.

3. As you layer your ingredients say:

Friends around from near and far Recognize me on radar Come and join me in friendship Trust in me will never slip

4. Hold your crystal in your hand, and imagine the spell as a magnet attracting friendship

5. Seal the jar with wax from the candle, and keep in a sunny window until you’ve made a friend.

💫If you do not use jars, you can layer your ingredients in a bowl, and set your crystal near it to charge. When it is charged, you can dispose of the ingredients safely, and keep the crystal near you to help attract friends.

Infusing Herbs in Coconut Oil:

Coconut oil is a wonderful medium for steeping herbs and makes great infusions. Coconut oil is highly moisturising, as well as healing, cooling, and toning. It is especially great for capturing the scent of herbs. It also takes on the colour of the herbs infused in it.

To infuse herbs in coconut oil, add oil to a double broiler system (one pot filled with water, another pot of cup, or bowl inside of it) and then add herbs. Heat up the pot until the water is boiling and the coconut oil is melted. Once it is boiling, lower the temperature and let it steep for at least 30 minutes.

Herb infused coconut oil can be ingested or applied to the skin.

Beltane ideas you might not have thought of!

🌼 Tie colorful ribbons with wishes and blessings onto tree branches

🌼 Buy a bundt cake. Stick a long straw into the center and tie little ribbons onto it. BOOM, got yourself a very sexual may pole cake (OPTIONAL: drizzle with honey, sprinkle with edible glitter, and top it off with some edible flowers)

🌼 Pick up a pebble and make a wish on it, then toss it into a body of water!

🌼 Go outside and draw. This holiday is about creativity and creation, so go outside and make some art!

🌼 Visit a local fruit stand or farmer’s market and get some local fruits and veggies. Cook them up simply, and eat them outside (or just eat them raw)

🌼 Buy a single little pot and a little plant of your choice. Plant it in nutrient-rich soil, then decorate around it with a tiny quartz crystal, or any other decorative crystals or rocks you can find. Name the plant after a deity or spirit of nature, fertility, love, or healing. Now you have a magical Beltane plant! Leave it outside overnight and ask the local nature spirits/fae to bless it or at least infuse it with their energy.

🌼 Go on an early-morning walk around your neighborhood and look for litter to pick up. Nothing honors the nature spirits like keeping the environment clean!

Some things you can add to your tea, as a witch

🍓 Berries - There’s nothing like a hot cup of camomile tea with a few fresh blueberries. Blueberries = Protection // Raspberries = Protection & Love // Strawberries = Love & Luck // Blackberries = Protection, Healing & Money

🍯 Honey - Adds that extra bit of sweetness and honey is great for love and binding. Green tea with a little honey would be the perfect start for a self-love spell or ritual.

🥛 Milk - I like to use almond milk. Almonds are great for fertility, money and luck spells. It also taste really good! I find taste best in black tea.

🍋 Lemon - Tastes great in green tea. Lemon is great for purifying and cleansing in spells and rituals. Would be an awesome tea to enjoy next time you do a cleansing meditation for your chakras.

🎄 Cinnamon - This one makes me think of winter and Yule but it taste so good. Especially when you pair it with a little bit of honey. Cinnamon is most commonly used in witchcraft related to healing, love, money and happiness.

🌿 Peppermint - It’s an acquired taste, for sure, but it’s very yummy in most teas and can help relieve nausea, gas and stomach cramps. 

🥄 Ginger - Another that’s an acquired taste. It’ll definitely add a zing to your tea but it can help with flu symptoms and nausea. Used in witchcraft to help “speed things up” or “add passion” to spells.

PSA for Baby Witches 💕

Research w/ Witchcraft

I wanted to make a quick post about something since I’ve been seeing it a lot lately around witchblr.

I just wanted to remind baby witches and those who are new to the community that it is SO IMPORTANT to research the hell out of whatever you’re interested instead of relying solely on other witches for information. I’m not saying don’t ask questions, but I’m saying to rely more on yourself.

The thing is, we aren’t Google. I can only speak for myself, but I am more than happy to help out baby witches and those new to the community because witchcraft is such a beautiful practice and there are so many aspects to it. But I do see that people are so dependent on others to direct them on the right path, but something that everyone has to understand is that it’s your path. Not anyone else’s. Finding your own way is a process, it takes time.

A huge aspect of witchcraft is finding what works for you. Finding what you like. Learning. Trial and error. But if you rely so much on other people, you won’t be able to experience things for yourself.

Everyone has different experiences so if one witch has experienced something in some way, it won’t always be the same for others.

Research w/ Deity Worship

I also see this a lot with deities. Research is the first thing you should be doing if you’re getting into deity worship. They’re not humans, they’re legitimate Gods. It’s more than necessary to do your best to learn as much as you can about them before you try to worship them, it’s not at all to good idea to jump into anything nor is it a good idea to rely on other worshippers and witches for information on them. Look into mythology, read books, take your time because these things do take time, there’s no need to rush into anything :)
