Ace Jansen

Ace Jansen didn’t ask to be popular, it just kind of happened. With his quiet charm and brooding energy, people are drawn to him. But truthfully? He’d rather keep to himself, headphones on, lost in his music.

He’s a music lover with big dreams of owning a tattoo shop one day. Until then, he’s sketching, mixing beats, and trying not to get too caught up in the chaos around him.

His girlfriend, Scarlet, is basically his opposite. Loud, full of energy, impossible to ignore. She gets him in a way most people don’t, and that scares him more than he’ll admit.

At home, things are tense. He lives with his older sister Jada, who’s pregnant with twins and dating the brother of Ace’s least favorite person, Carter. He can't believe he'll share a niece & nephew with Carter. Their once-close bond is starting to crack, and Ace isn’t sure how to fix it.

He’s just trying to stay grounded, keep his circle small, his music loud, and his emotions in check.

Toddler & Child Sliders - June 24, 2025

As a reminder, the toddler and children sliders are - up to this point - broken indefinitely.

I have exhausted all of my options up to this point. However, I noticed something in the trailer for the new EP that could mess things up: the fairies change sizes! There is a chance that this is just trailer magic but I’m currently unsure of this, as the fairy house pre-order item is about the same size as the rabbit house in Cottage Living. If I’m not able to get any idea about this from the gameplay trailer this week, then I’m hoping that the July 1 patch will provide further insight into this and any other changes that may be made due to the EP.

Speaking of the EP… I’ll probably have to get it 🤦‍♀️ I don’t know how else I’m going to know exactly what’s behind the paywall. Stupid me.

After getting one year older last month and going through a bit of an existential crisis I've decided to move my BACC gameplay over here to this blog. I'm trying to declutter my digital space and deleting a side-blog is part of that.

I'll still be playing my LEPacy but I'll now have 2 saves shared on this blog for a while and I'll swap at the end of rounds/generations. Sorry to those who are seeing these twice!

Now let's get into the BACC!

Moonwood Mill is my favourite world so I couldn't pass up the chance to start a BACC using @m0ckest's gorgeous Grimtooth Cabins. Technically breaking the rules already to start with residential rental but with only 5 lots to play with it made sense, sooo let's ignore that.

Wolfgang Wilder by @m0ckest 🐺

Our landlord and resident werewolf. Wolfgang will be working on handiness and logic for the group, unlocking electricity and contraception. He makes sure everything is running smoothly in the cabins, and always brings fruitcake.

Alex Shay by @samtastic-sims 🧜‍♀️

Alex is our fitness fanatic, working on unlocking the athletic career and the gym. That will help towards unlocking the rec centre so the group can enjoy more @m0ckest loveliness at the Moonwood Co-op. Alex is a mermaid and enjoys spending the Summer afternoons down at the lake.

Arielle Ivy by @cowplant-snacks 🎨

Arielle is our artist, and the first Sim I have chosen to play in year 1. She's generous but very high maintenance which often causes conflicting moodlets. She does not love living off the grid. Arielle is focusing on unlocking the arts centre, which is the other half of the rec centre unlock. She will be levelling painting, knitting and mixology.

Our nosy, lovebug that loves to cook. She developed a crush on Wolfgang the minute I went into Live Mode so I'm already obsessed with that. Janessa will be working on her homestyle cooking, gourmet cooking and baking skill to unlock a restaurant for the town.

Height Sliders Updates (June 2025)

*Please Note: These files were not originally created by me. If you created the original files for these sliders and want them taken down, please contact me and I will do so ASAP.

For whatever reason, whatever is happening with sliders is not affecting height sliders? I put them all in, applied them in CAS, and it worked (mostly) seamlessly. I can't explain it. One or more of these files will probably break in the July 1 patch, so please be prepared for that.

I planned to save the quality of life fixes for later, but the toddler height slider is super finicky so I decided to just try it for the younger Sims. Since everything worked fine, I’m releasing those too.

Differences between the two versions:

OG fix - height is left and right

“Easier toggles” version - height is up and down

OG fix - preserves the included slider for head size

“Easier toggles” version 1: does not include the slider for head size

I can test an “easier toggles” version that includes the head slider. Just let me know if anyone needs or wants it!

Also, PLEASE let me know either through Tumblr asks and/or my Instagram if you have any problems with these files! I want to be able to implement fixes as soon as possible and cannot do so without your feedback.

Slider Testing (CAS and in-game) 6/15/2025 - 6/18/2025 Masterpost

The post will be updated as each slider is tested. I’ll link this to my navigation so you can easily see my progress.

For a full recap of what had previously happened, please read the last full update post. In short, I had tested the sliders in CAS only before writing that update and prematurely declared some of them working 🙃 More details below the cut.

Child Sliders: Many are not tested. The neck slider (front) is broken.

*Special Notes: When I put into TS4 MorphMaker, it said that the hotspot controls needed an update. I said yes and saved it to a separate package file. I ended up putting this one in my game instead of the other one on 6/17 due to how many were broken in CAS.

The parts affected by these sliders include the following:

Stomach bulge (unsure where this is in the files); required Hotspot Controls update to function

[Update 6/18/2025: I went into my gameplay save where I don't have any custom sliders and all the toggle points matched up. The head shape slider I found is an EA slider. Please disregard that.]

Unfortunately, these files cannot be unmerged at all (S4S says it can't do it) but I may or may not have found a way to use MorphMaker to create separate files. I’ll test the individual file before I release them. If that doesn’t work, then I will need to upload everything at once (sigh.)
