Because of course she was right, and definitely not for the wrong reasons. After all, she knew how to handle guys who were too chicken to say the truth in that little group of hers-- totally because they were just shy about feeling positive things for someone so amazing-- and she had eyes. This kid was definitely lost. And she knew better than to make some stubborn tot admit otherwise; she knew the area pretty well by now anyway, so obviously the kid would be fine no matter what since she was around.

———  " Alright, mister missed-your-naptime. " JB replied breezily, " If you're so sure where you're going, then I'll just walk with you. I'd be pretty awful to just make you walk by yourself if your parents aren't around, either way. "

Yep. She's not even offering anymore; she's just going to outright follow him now. JB will not be shaken that easily.

Ozzy glanced up at this random teenager with a raised eyebrow, scanning the premises around him to clarify that she was indeed talking to him, then looked back up at her with discontent painted on his face.

" I'm not lost! " Ozzy asserted, knowing that she is right and he is indeed very lost. " I'm walking home! " He huffed, standing completely still and not walking.

He took another look around the area, the unfamiliarity of it filling his mind with uncertainty and contorting his expression into a look of undeniable stress and vexation. He looked up at her, wanting to ask where the hell he was, but remembered he didn't like how she talked to him and looked away again. Maybe he should pick a random direction and start walking.. Yeah, that will totally work, right? Right??
