these days, jinnie was spending more time at the company building than in the braveheart apartment. she didn't have complaints about it; she was excited for the upcoming docket of collaborations and projects she was preparing for. but she did have to admit — she was tired. that was precisely why the maknae found herself at the cafe on the ground level, sipping an iced caramel macchiato on her quick break. she looked up at the mention of her name, smiling brightly as her friend approached. " jooha~ not at all ! please sit. " jinnie enthused, toying with her straw. " i haven't seen you in forever. "

jooha had been having a hard time confiding in people on a certain topic for a while now. he knew any attempt to talk about dating with his members would most certainly lead to endless teasing and prying and at the moment he wasn't ready to disclose anything...he was barely ready to admit his feelings to himself. asking his manager and staff in general were out of the question for obvious reasons. but he needed advice. it leads him to turn to someone he already knew was a good listener. seeing her at the cafe he slowly approaches the girl with his iced tea and a plate of cookies. "hey jinnie." he greets her with a smile. "mind if i sit here?" @xojinnie

jinnie never knew what to do with cruelty. it's been a commonplace ever since she was a trainee — and yet, it still pierces her every single time. she wasn't above constructive criticism; no one was. but that wasn't what was happening. the public were taking shots at things that could not be controlled. people were mocking the way she looked and the way she rapped. they were making obscenely inappropriate comments about her and her sisters about how they came to success. it was all too much. and for the first time in months, jinnie could feel the familiar tightening in her chest, the sudden nausea curling in her stomach.

the gentle knock distracts the maknae from her building panic. jinnie looked up in surprise. normally, her members just waltzed right in. the fact that it was deiji standing in the door frame made it all the more concerning. honestly, she wanted to hold her leader and cry it out. but as always, she was too hyperaware of everyone's feelings. so instead, jinnie forced a smile and shook her head. "no, unnie. what's up ? "

things had begun to get a little rough for them. she knew it had. she'd seen it. spicy had given them an added surge of fans but it brought on a heavy hitters worth of dream rotting foolishness. she did her best, deleting comments, blocking users, talking to their management team about it, you name it. but things slipped through the cracks and the girls had their separate appearances and lives and schedules that she couldn't be privy too all the time.

in these moments she wanted to check in, note where everyone's head was so that they didn't join the groups that had to have members leave due to health concerns or mental issues or what have you. her fingers gently knocked on the youngest's door, pushing it open with out a second thought though she peeked in as a little nod to jinnie's privacy.

"hey you, are you busy?" she asked softly leaning in the door frame.

" jinnie blinked out of her reverie, flashing somi a sheepish smile. for someone who talked a mile a minute, she should have figured that being quiet would raise alarms for her friends. she was totally fine — just really nervous. this may have been her second time getting to work with somi but the feeling never got less overwhelming and intimidating. it still felt surreal that someone she admired so much would be dancing and singing next to her. " i'm just really really excited for this project, unnie. " the maknae admitted with a soft giggle. " i want to do well for you. "

" jinnie exclaimed as danbi emerged from the closet. her eyes lit up, taking in her friend's appearance. the bassist really had to be one of the prettiest people the redhead has ever met. she's always thought so. with a soft giggle, jinnie propped her elbows onto her knees, intrigued. " now why do you care so much about your outfit ? are you sure it's just a hangout ? "
