"nah but sure looks like you're about to tell me?" whether he knew or not, he didn't really hold any interest in getting into that topic with her. his answer, if anything, was to be polite and then to move on. what was the world coming to when he couldn't even get a beer in peace, huh? when he couldn't even get some poor girl home without it becoming everyone else's business. "that's what i said." why the hell should he have to explain himself more than he had? his eyes briefly drifted to the hands on the hips, he'd been married long enough to know that wasn't necessarily a good sign. great. just great. The twins were both awake but he’d told Ruby to go and lie down because she needed it. Hope was with Haley for the afternoon. He was sitting with the twins nearby when the door went. He quickly moved to open it and hugged her back with a little chuckle. “You should try it.” Charlie teased, closing the door and turning back to the kids. “So. These are the little devils that have been keeping us awake.”

Abi was also very conscious of the fact that the last time the two of them had seen each other, it hadn’t been under the best circumstances at the hospital. She was glad that they were meeting under much happier ones this time. “You look good!” A smile as she pulled back from him, letting the door close behind her. “Hey! There’s stuff in there for you and Ruby too so don’t complain just yet.” Chuckling as she headed into the room where the babies were and of course, they were absolutely beautiful. “Hi,” her voice soft as she moved to take a look. “You make gorgeous babies!” Grinning as she leaned over to take a better look and say hello, not picking one of them up unless she was told it was okay. “Do they have names?”

Abi couldn’t believe that the twins were here, it literally felt like yesterday when Charlie had told her they were expecting again and now it had happened already. There was no way she was turning up empty handed so she'd gone to the shops in the morning before heading over to Charlie's. "When do I ever come empty handed?" A chuckle escaping her, pulling him into a hug when he opened the door. "Congratulations you!"  @thecharliebaker

“I know Vegas was always our thing and it still can be but when all this is over...” And she meant all of it, the trial, whatever was going to happen as a result of today. “I’m thinking, you, me, the sun and a beach somewhere?” It was going to take a lot to shake this one off, she would without a doubt but perhaps even just a weekend break from this Town would do her the world of good. “And when you can get time off work.” She knew it was probably crazy there and this incident most likely wasn’t helping.
