(&& Stitch):
Stitch’s attention was on his friend rather than the ducks, hoping Wanda would once again have some wise words for him. He wasn’t sure what could actually be said but listened all the same. The troubled boy tried to let the words sink in while some doubt lingered. He was confident that Wanda would stick around even if he did something by mistake, but he wasn’t too sure about anyone else who came along. His dark eyes tracked her as she moved, towards him. “Of course I care about you. We’re best friends.” He said quietly. For a brief moment, a small smile crossed his face when he heard he had been a good friend. It was something he had wanted to be for a long time, but never got the chance to do on the island. His smile fell though as he tried to get rid of his lingering guilt. “I don’t want it to stop me, but I don’t know how not to feel this way.”
Words breathlessly poured out, simple and clean on her tongue, she wanted to sooth the fear that wrestled within her friend. Reaching out for his hand she nodded, giving him a gentle squeeze “Best friends.” The twin wished she had something profound for him to cling to, a hope that he wouldn’t feel the way he was but all she had was reassurance, it felt so small. “Maybe that doubt is a good thing, maybe it something that stops you. I wish I could take that fear from you, I wish I could drown it and never let it linger or haunt you but I don’t know how. I told you all that time ago that you loved that little creature with all your heart, that you poured your soul into giving her the best while you had her and she lived such a good life and that moment changed you but it didn’t make you cruel or distant, you became someone else. Do not let the fear of what was burden you of what can be. All I can do is remind you that you’ve been amazing. That you’ve grown and become someone you should be so proud of. And that moments of weakness, moments of doubt are here to keep you humble, to keep you check, it means you care so much about the people around you that have to take a moment to doubt that it’s all going to be okay. And it is. You are...you just. yeah.” Her rambling was quiet, in one breath so that when she was done the dark haired girl inhaled a deep breath, all the while her green eyes were trained on the boy before her. “Yeah.”

(&& Pietro):
He shook the bag of munchies he had grabbed, “I’m the kindest person we know, Wanda…. Maybe second kindest if you count Bova-and you should.”
“I still don’t understand how a cow found you here. It doesn’t make sense.” Wanda reached over to the bag to grab some of his snacks. “Come on we still have one more shop to go to. I want to get back before it gets too crowded.” The younger Maximoff looked around at the growing number of people before mumbling in their mother tongue. “I still feel like I don’t belong here. We live here but I still feel like an outsider. The tourist feel more at home here then i do.”

(&& Berlioz):
“What are you reading?” Berlioz peered over the other’s shoulder, trying to catch a glimpse of any word. He yawned, “Would you read to me?”
Wanda looked up at the boy and frowned. “Why don’t you pick up a copy of the book and read it”

“O-oh, hey….” Sally pulled the plant closer to herself. She went on another splurge, intending to bring another plant back to their dorm, despite it not really needing another. She’d never talked to her roommate before, only seen eachother in passing. “Sorry-big plant, couldn’t see.”
dark eyes glared at the young woman before she realized who she was speaking too. both girls were too quiet so their dorm was quiet. the only good thing that came out the shared dorm was the plants. wanda like the plants around the room. wanda looked down at the plant then back at the girl, as if asking where it was going to go.

“Hm?” Pietro raised a brow as he turned back to her after taking a couple steps forward. “I asked you kindly to wait, you went ahead of me.”
“Well that’s a first, me being ahead of you.” She raised a brow.”I don’t believe the word kindly would apply to often to you.”

the weekend was chilly, wind blowing gently though the city. the younger maximoff stood among a sea of people, lost in her own thoughts of place and people. whether or not she belonged. it was a feeling, an itching thought that plagued her the moment she arrived. a heavy sigh escaped her lip and suddenly she was thrust out of her thoughts by someone knocking into her. “hey.”

(&& Clint):
“Maybe it is.” He shrugged. “But it was a lot worse in the past than how it is now. You haven’t told me everything that happened to you in the past, but as bad as things get now, they have to be better than they were in the past.”
Wanda looked at Clint, her mouth opened slightly as in disbelief. She let out a tired sigh. “Do you want to know?”

“If life went the way we wanted it to, I’m not sure it would feel right either. It’s the world we live in, and it is what it is.”
Wanda sighed and shook her head. “Maybe it’s because that’s all you know. That’s the world you live in. i just don’t know.” She ran her hand through her hair and slumped.

(&& Stitch):
“I wish I could say the same.” He said softly to himself before gently putting the bottle beside him. He took a deep breath in, knowing Wanda probably knew why he was out here and why he looked so upset. She was the only one he told about that day after all. “I hadn’t really thought about it in awhile, not since the move. It sucks. I used to visit that spot a lot.” He bit the inside of his cheek. He knew he didn’t have to talk about what he was really thinking about, but he also knew she’d be the only one to understand it and help him figure it out. “What if I mess up like that again? I really like having friends that care about me. But I wreck a lot of things even on accident. What if I end up really hurting someone I care about? I clearly didn’t know how to care for a duckling and what if I don’t know how to care for a person?” He knew some of that seemed silly when he had clearly care for Wanda and hadn’t hurt her. The fear still lingered though.
The Maximoff twin flicked dark green hues over at her best friend, hand still twirling along the water. For a moment her attention was taken to the ducks quietly swimming, minding their own business. She listened, his words relatable but she kept silent. A heavy sigh heaved through her chest and she exhaled with a sullen pause. She was putting words together in her head, trying to find the right ones to say, something elaborate and inspiring but their was nothing. Just, “I don’t think you will. I think since that moment, since that time something about you has changed. I think you never do something deliberately. And if by accident something happens then friends will stay by your side. Stitch.” Wanda got up and placed a finger under his chin so they would be looking directly at each other. “Stitch, I care about and I hope I’m not delusional in thinking you care about me. You have been nothing but what I imagined a friend would be like. For me, that’s all I ask. You didn’t know at the beginning but here you are, you know how. What ifs are scary, what if this happens, or what if this crumbles. But what if something better happens. Will you let your lingering guilt stop you?”

“The point is that he wasn’t miserable.” Clint placed a hand on her shoulder. “World’s are funny things. You know, sometimes they’re big. Sometimes they’re small. They just can’t make up their minds. They get to the right size eventually.”
Wanda shook her head and sighed. “I’m tired of it. I’m tired of my world changing. I just want it to stop for a moment. I want to be able to breath and be happy for a lot longer and sad for less time.”

(&& Stitch):
Stitch sat quietly at the edge of a small pond while he watched a small family of ducks swim around in it. His knees were pulled to his chest and his chin was resting upon them when he noticed someone sit down near him. Normally he’d want to be alone when he was upset, but he had done a pretty good job of isolating himself from everyone this month that having some company now didn’t bother him as much as it would have. He picked up a half empty bottle of whiskey and offered it to his company without taking his misty eyes off of the scene in front of him. “Want some?”
Wanda noticed Stitch and walked over to him. She saw the ducks in the pond and sighed quietly knowing what he was thinking about. The dark haired girl sat far enough that if he didn’t want to be bothered then she was just there to be there, but close enough that if he wanted to talk she could hear him but still give him space. Shaking her head Wanda gently pushed the bottle away. “I don’t drink.” Wanda let her hand glide along the water for a moment as she sat with her legs crossed.

Dear Wanda, xoxo from Greece! Me and Else have been hoppin' around, and I wanted to send you a postcard to let you know I'm doing great! We've been visiting people, and eating all sorts of foods, but I miss your food so much. And I miss you. I hope you and Pietro are doing alright. I'm not so good at checkin' my email, but I will for you! And I'll send you postcards all the time! Take care of yourself, love you!
Wanda read the postcard about a hundred times now, carefully pouring over each word. She held the card to chest as if her heart would be etched with Mittens. Tears streamed down her cheeks, mixed with sadness and joy. She was overjoyed to hear that Mittens was doing alright but sad that she had to leave to find it. But the joy was almost overwhelming, the thought of Mittens being happy, just being out in the world and living in joy that’s what she needed to hear. Wanda wiped away the tears and placed the post card on her dresser. For just a moment a small smile danced on her lips, just for a moment.

(&& Calcifer):
Calcifer wasn’t just going to sit here and let her think she was running the show. She didn’t know anything about him or what happened. “I don’t think you get it, Wanda. Your opinion doesn’t matter to me. You are not someone I’m worried about forgiving me, hence why, I’m giving you no apology.” He told her, keeping his tone cold and uncaring. “So like I said, take your empty threats and go bother someone else. Do us both a favor and end this now.” It took all Calcifer had not to just tell her to go fuck herself and walk away, but knowing she was Pietro’s sister and he was trying not to screw up anymore, he stopped himself before going too far.
“I didn’t ask for an apology, I don’t care for one. I said you better have apologized to my brother and you better do what ever it takes to make it up to him. You left without a word and whatever reason that may have been something could have been done. I saw my brother upset by the loss of a friend, that was you, you hurt him.” Wanda pushed against Calcifer and then threw up her hands. She mumbled in Sokovian, something about him being an asshole before she stepped back. “My brother deserves only the best of friends. Not those who run off.”

(&& Clint):
“Yeah, I know, but some things just don’t come up in conversation. You’re not a bad friend for not knowing. I don’t many people’s birthdays either, and if it makes you feel better I did help him convince a baker to give him a free slice of cake. I doubt he was miserable or anything.” Clint sighed. “You’ve still got Pietro, and me, and Stitch. You’re not alone.”
“But it wasn’t made by me.” She mumbled, crossing her arms. “My world got so big for a moment and then suddenly it was really small again and I didn’t know I would be so upset. I thought everything would be okay.” Wanda remembered that first time she met Clint, she was a like a scared animal sitting in the corner and she remembered when she met Stitch, how simple it was just to build a sandcastle. Her world used to be just Pietro but now....
