The fact that I have to make this post says a lot about the Phandom

Alright listen up and listen up good.

Phan is not real.

I know it’s ironic that a girl with a Phan page is making this post, but things are getting too far. Some are starting to force Phan on them and pressuring them into just not telling us anything anymore. I feel like as a member of this community, it’s my responsibility to address this problem.

People are starting to take the Phan ship way too far. Sure there is nothing wrong with the occasional smutty fanfiction or the common fan art of them holding hands but when it gets to the point when you start harassing people over it- no harassing DAN AND PHIL over it. That’s when it’s too far.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s ok to ship it. Hell, I think they are cute together too, but harassing anyone in general is just wrong. I have seen other Phan members getting yelled at for using the words “best friends” a PHAN MEMBER, they are part of our community and you are yelling at them for stating the truth?! This community is full of the most kind hearted people ever, but when it comes to the ship you all turn into animals!!! We are suppose to be encouraging people to feel welcomed into our community, not attack them for disliking the ship. The Phan community is about Dan and Phil, not specifically about the ship.

The Phan ship also stays out of their YouTube channels and their other social medias. Wanna make a YouTube channel/ Fan page about the ship? Fine, go for it. But if they say or do something that looks even the slightest bit homo, that doesn’t suddenly give you the right to spam their comments with Phan and drown out everyone else. They get annoyed too, the last thing you want is for them to ban you off their channel. (Yes youtubers can do that. They don’t want to but if you go too far, they will have no choice.)

ATTACKING ANY FEMALE THAT IS WITH THEM IS BEHOND WRONG AND SHOULDN’T EVEN BE MENTIONED CAUSE YOU SHOULD HAVE COMMONSENSE.

The most common excuse used to force Phan on them is “well they don’t say anything, so that means their cool with it.” No that doesn’t. That’s basically saying “abuse them all you want but stop when they are screaming.” You should already know when it’s wrong, don’t keep going until the point they are literally begging you to stop. If they say stop, THEY.MEAN.STOP!!! Not maybe, not stop for a little bit and start doing it again later on, stop means stop until they PHYSICALLY say their cool with it. Never ever assume things.

I don’t mean to be harsh, I just fear that one day Dan or Phil might just get so tired of being harassed that they not only end the ship, but also not feel comfortable to be around each other with the fear of someone yelling “OMG PHAN IS REAL!! THEY ARE SUUPER GAY FOR EACH OTHER!! HEY KISS FOR US!!!” I don’t think it’s fair that they can’t even show the slightest bit of kindness towards each other without that one person saying its “Phan proof” and ruining their day. If they were dating, they would tell us, for now just be happy they are friends. There is nothing wrong with making cute posts about them or making funny memes but just don’t go wild. Remember that Dan and Phil are human, if they want to have a little bit of a bromance then that’s fine by me. Just don’t rub it in their faces. Let’s show the world that the Phandom is a wonderful community to be in ^__^
