Yknow I did wonder about the Zhao Yuanzhou killing everyone in the demon hunter bureau of the Zhao family. Like yeah the basic answer is that he was out of it because the malice took control of him.

But then they did the whole Bingyi and Ying Long reveal.

And all I could think of was Zhao Yuanzhou subconsciously seeking out the cloud sword so he would be killed and die without hurting anyone anymore.

Except the sword wasn't activated because the brother wasn't good enough? That sounds really mean but he couldn't activate the sword right...

And I am just very sad.... If it was just some time later it might have worked...

Also his soul always seeks out Bingyi when it seeks the comfort of death. Because that's his best friend!!!! (As stated but we know more) And always the best and only contender to die from.

Such cruel fate for Bingyi to always be pushed to end his best friends life almost every if not in every incarnation. But also the duty he always carries out because If it's not him... Then who? Who could comfort his friend even in delivering death forced upon by fate? It's cruel but he will carry it. Every time. He will do it for him.

Because the suffering may be the cruelest but so is love. Even in the cruelest moments of fate tearing them apart, again and again. Their love only gets stronger. Their devotion only shines brighter.

So whenever Zhao Yuanzhou craves the comfort of death he will always seek out Zhuo Yichen.

Every week, I really struggle to watch Reset because I get so distracted with how beautiful Pond is. Not Armin, the character. No. Pond. The actor.

I'm not even reading the subtitles because I'm too mesmerized by his face to focus on the damn plot!

Now I have to rewind every two seconds because I'm not catching anything that's happening because all I can see is Pond's pouty lips and kissable neck every time he speaks.

I hate when man are this attractive. I lose all sense of reason.

I sometimes forget that Armin is actually in his 40s.

His anger makes a lot more sense when it hits you that in his mind he was killed by the (secret!!) boyfriend he had for half of his life. Right after he discovered him kissing his best friend. This being after he's already lived a rough life.

Armin might be a little insane, but the man has all the right to hold a lifelong grudge and get triggered every time Charlie or Sam exists within 30ft of him. 20 years of hiding a supposedly loving relationship all to get the biggest betrayal by the people closest to you is crazy.

I love Armin because he is a soap opera in his own head at all times. But he did also get reborn into his own younger body and get to relive his life so... he's earned it.

I mean, Armin, you did tell him you didn't want him in your life anymore and he said he was going to go back to watching from the shadows and he's not coming to the movie premiere... Oh, Armin. You know how much you love and want him but you can't bring yourself to be the one who makes the first move, not knowing how your heart was broken in the first place. (Thada got this gift for Armin and Armin wants to be given this gift but he doesn't understand that he pushed too hard.)

(And how much work Wenai had to put into getting this gift for you, Armin. Because he had to put in a lot of work, I'm sure.)

But also, finally, the connection is there for him to make! The connection to who Thada was the entire time. And then we get the despair, the real need, the final understanding that this is something new and different and yet the same. (But it also lets Armin realize that this is different and this is important and he finally goes to Thada the way they both needed him to, honestly.)

I love this man so much he's such a nightmare but I love him deeply. At least he's back to flirting with Thada in his own little way and not running around with grand ideas of time travel revenge and matchmaking. I mean, he's still thinking about those obviously. But he's making space for Thada again. Because when you see an empty space where you expect a person... you realize how empty it can be to not have them. But he also flirts by calling Thada old and that makes him even better.
