1. A big issue I’ve had is that skinny jeans feminize my body. The scene style is inherently androgynous and plays with the idea of gender fuckery, but if you feel uncomfortable or dysphoric doing so it’s no biggie! Look for slim-fit or regular fit jeans in neon colours. If you’re on a budget and want distressed jeans, buy undistressed ones and fuck em up. 3. If it makes you feel dysphoric or uncomfortable you might not want to wear skin-tight shirts. This is fine! Buy the shirts you want but in a larger size. Scene is a style about creativity, and your own individuality.

4. If you’re having trouble finding search terms, I suggest “80s”, “Rave,” “Emo”, “Cybergoth,” “Vaporwave”, “Aesthetic”, “90s”, “Neon”, and “Festival”

5. If you see a pair of converse or vans you like but it’s in women’s sizing, order 2 sizes up

6. Belts can really help you look more masculine (if that’s your goal). Look for studded belts in white, black, and neon colours and wear them to help bulk out your waist.

7. If you want, try wearing more “masculine” things like brass knuckle necklaces or related jewelry, shirts that say “Rawr” or other slogans with masculine connotations.

8. Kandi and rubber wristbands with slogans or band names on them can bulk out your arms, so I like to wear a lot

9. You can find neon snapbacks in a lot of places, and people associate these hats with masculine people. Also, it can help masculinize your face. 

10. Try wearing neon suspenders! People view them as masculine, and they can add some bonus swag to your outfit. I have 15 pairs of suspenders, not gonna lie.
