essays - make each essay you write better than the last


 small assignments - aim for 100s, expect 100s, get 100s


 homework - pretend they’re assignments


 homework that’s not graded - pretend! they’re! assignments!


 tests - study for 100s, expect less


 long term projects - act like it’s due in four days -even when it’s not- until you’re done with it


 group projects - do not get angry


 presentations - pretend you’re obama

If they’re at 0, it’s okay to hang out and ask for patients to clerk/admit for them. If they’re at 2, ask if they need help with stuff. At number 5, it’s time to feed them a cookie. If they’re at number 8, throw coffee at the problem. If number 12 it’s time to runaway and hide…
