The wonderful @lbardugo has a really great tradition of starting the new year off spending a little time doing things that you want to do going forward into the new year. She calls it, “Begin as you mean to go on.” You can learn more about it by heading to her Instagram or checking out #baymtgo. 🖤 One of the things that I am being intentional about doing today is taking care of all the little piles of things that I have around the house that I always plan to go through “eventually.” Of course eventually never comes and I find myself just moving these annoying little piles around my house and letting it stress me out. No more of that in 2023! 🖤 I have had two piles of #grishaverse goodies sitting on my living room floor since Fall! I kept meaning to take the time to take pictures of it to share here. Since these are @lbardugo related this seemed like the day to post it. 🖤 The first photo shows some wonderful goodies that @fiercereads sent to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of Shadow and Bone, as well as the collectors edition. 🖤 The second picture shows the many goodies I came home with after attending the Grisha Gala to celebrate ten years in October. The photos after that are just a few of the highlights from that incredible event. (I also included a split photo of the very first time I met Leigh back before Shadow and Bone came out and the two of us at the Grisha Gala.) 🖤 Finally, I had to find room in my Grisha box (from when Ruin and Rising was released) to store my new goodies and get them off my floor!😂 It made me feel all nostalgic so there’s a photo of a few of my favorite things that I’ve picked up over the years at different events or been sent by amazing friends and @fiercereads. 🖤 I’m very much looking forward to bringing positive habits into the new year, and at least another 10 years of stories from Leigh! https://www.instagram.com/p/Cm40A4cLsDZ/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

I am not so great at #bookstagram but I couldn’t let the release of #RuleOfWolves by @lbardugo pass without a post! 🖤 This book has been one of my most anticipated releases since #KingOfScars came out! I just love spending time with the world and characters of the #grishaverse. 🖤 I was lucky enough to get a copy of this beauty this past Saturday and I have been savoring it ever since. I’m only allowing myself to read a couple chapters at a time and I am LOVING it. 🖤 Of course I also ordered the audiobook. And the ebook. And the B&N special edition. I was so excited when I found this fabric on @spoonflower! It’s designed by @lidiebugdesign. 🖤 I couldn’t believe how perfect it was for @lbardugo’s #grishaverse! I had been looking for something to celebrate the upcoming @shadowandbone show, as well as #RuleofWolves. It even has symbols to tie #ShadowandBone and #SixofCrows together! And this color looks so great with the #CrookedKingdom and #KingofScars covers. 🖤 If you like the fabric, the designer has other background colors and design sizes. There are a couple other designs that are similar and still very Grisha-esque! 🖤 I stayed up way too late last night seeing a few masks. I was just so excited I couldn’t wait. I just finished my most recent re-read of @lbardugo’s Shadow and Bone trilogy. Super excited to start another audiobook re-read of Six of Crows on the way to work tomorrow. 🖤 No matter how many times I reread these books, I find something new to love! So excited to watch To All the Boys: Always and Forever today! 💕 I sewed special facemasks and hair scrunchies for myself and some of my friends! I can’t wait to deliver them today. 💕 I will also be taking two of my friends a box with three different chocolate chip cookies that I baked and a reading sheet. I was inspired by Lara Jean‘s quest to bake the perfect chocolate chip cookies in the book Always and Forever, Lara Jean. 💕 Unfortunately, I cannot bake a decent chocolate chip cookie to save my life! I ended up with three recipes that were salvageable. 💕 The flattest cookie is supposed to be smaller and thicker. I mixed up and baked that particular recipe THREE TIMES. Ugh. Are you a fan of Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit? If so, you must check out An Encyclopedia of Tolkien by David Day from @canterburyclassics! 🐉 Not only is the encyclopedia full of all things Middle-earth, it’s gorgeous! It’s illustrated with beautiful black and white illustrations. The book itself is leather bound with gold detailing and a ribbon bookmark. 🐉 A beautiful addition to any collection. And, that’s a wrap! 💕 I adored #psistillloveyou! So many of the details and feelings that I loved from the book were in the movie. I honestly cannot wait to watch it again! (And I really loved the cameo appearances!) 💕 My friends and I had fun with the photo frame @doodlebugjaimie made. And “Book to Movie” BINGO was a hit! Most of the items we put in the BINGO board were in the movie somewhere! 💕 I think the goodie boxes we put together for each person turned out adorable and I love my notebook and candle from our BINGO prize/Galentine’s exchange. Plus, I finally tried (and liked!) Yakult! 💕 A great night all around!
