I stiiiiill feel like we don't talk about this enough honestly.

Take it from a guy who's tried.

He could've chosen just about any other dimension. This obsession with Earth has proven time and time again to end in failure. It was dangerous. Reckless. A risk that, when you think about it on a multiversal scale, doesn't seem all too worthwhile if a party is the only thing he wants.

What is it about Earth that is so important that he would be willing to risk everything on taking it specifically? Literally everything, by the way. If he was scared of the Edge of Reality swallowing him up, he could've just left. If he just wanted to keep the Nightmare Realm/Dimension 0 around, he could've merged it with any other dimension - there are plenty of other dimensions with beings perfectly capable of building rift-inducing totally normal dimensional portals for him. But no: He sticks around his decaying realm for as long as he possibly can because he needs Earth in particular for some reason.

You can't undo the past... unless you want to thaw a giant baby out of a glacier.

Speaking of giant babies in glaciers... there happens to be only one Time Giant left. One singular being who controls time. One singular being who can create and distribute Time Wishes. Time Wishes, which could change the past paradox-free.

What a strange coincidence, then, that this last Time Giant resides here. On this specific Earth. This specific Earth, this specific dimension that Bill is so desperate to get his hands on.

Take it from a guy who's tried.

It was never just about keeping the party going, was it?

Oh. Oh OUCH 💔

I like to imagine Stan just dropping extremely disturbing life events on Ford randomly. I'm mainly picturing this in a pre-portal, reconciliation au, but it can work anywhere.

But just, Ford sipping coffee, ejoying the early morning when Stan, sitting right next to him, decides to randomly and casually mention how he was caught by the cartel while drinking the best coffee of his life.

And then doesn't explain anything, just goes back to quietly slurping while Ford is frozen with confusion, anger, and a new distaste for coffee.

Oh this is one of my favorite tropes. Just. Stan like MAKES conversation every once in a while with bad trauma jokes

I especially love this in Sea Grunks era

I'll probably write this into a fic eventually, but I like the idea that Stan gets his memories back relatively slowly, and even after he remembers who is family are, he still is getting back memories of that decade he spent on the street when he and Ford set sail

Ford encourages Stan to share memories when he gets them, to help said memories solidify

He did not. However. Anticipate how absolutely fucking INSANE Stan's life was in those ten years.

So some mornings Stan will wake up, make coffee, and say something like, "Hey Six, just got a memory back about the time I got jumped by four donkeys and a Llama, and got convicted for Llamaicide."

And Ford. Just has. To accept that new information. Just. "Ah. Yes."

Of course, some memories are considerably worse, things that Stan would probably be better off NOT remembering but. You can't pick and choose.

(Ford and Stan are eating a tough candy once when it cracks under Stan's teeth, and a moment that was cheery and sunny spirals into a terror filled disaster as Stan remembers what actually happened to his teeth. Ford is unsure which part he should be more mad about, the fact that Stan was put into that situation, or the fact that he hadn't noticed his brother wears dentures)

Wait. You left in like. The 80s. That periodic table is heavily outdated, say, do you recite the current periodic table or the outdated 80s one? (Eg containing newly addrd elements such as oganesson, tennessine and moscovium?)

do you have any bad habits?

I wouldn't call any of my habits inherently "bad"—they're all actually quite productive. Although, I have been informed many times that my anxiety-induced recital of the digits of PI can be quite irritating.

Interesting... I can't say that the idea of being conceptualized as a marketable plushie ever crossed my mind, but I'm not entirely against it. I have been informed of this reproduction multiversally—I'm not sure whether to be honored that it is an interesting read or confused as to why your universe's Stanford Pines decided to publish the journals.
