July and August Development Update

INTRODUCTION:
Hello everyone, Friskiz here! Welcome to a new development update for YAMA. Before we start, I would like to mention, once again, that on August 16th, YAMA completed it’s 1 year anniversary, and I would like to thank you all once again for following the project. We hope that we can get a demo out soon for you all! With that out of the way, let’s go over a summary of the progress made in the last two months!
July and August were months in which progress was slow but consistent. Basically, we took the time to work on script writing and cutscenes, along with finishing up assets like character portraits, pixel art, music and miscellaneous art. Most of these have been added to the game already, with the exception of a few cutscenes that will be added soon. Considering what we have done already, I would say we are about 45% done with the demo!
PROGRESS:
The rest of YAMA’s dialogue portraits are finished.
The entirety of SUNNY’s battle and dialogue portraits are finished.
Most of the major cutscenes in the demo are finished. The rest are currently in progress.
Various pixel artwork was created. Most were made for cutscenes, but others were for the FARAWAY FOREST tileset.
Overworld sprites for AUBREY in the real world.
Other miscellaneous art needed in the mod.
A new music track was created for the PALE BEDROOM, shown already on our Twitter page.
WHAT TO EXPECT FOR SEPTEMBER?
Well, now, a question might be on your mind. What can we expect in terms of progress in September? The remaining work is the scripts for the rest of the cutscenes, the portraits for two specific characters, sprites, battle animations for skills, a few tilesets left for a specific area, the photo album's photos, the album cover for YAMA’s ost, some songs, a few maps, a battle sprite for an enemy, and a new feature, but what we expect to be able to create and implement this month is: Scripts for most cutscenes left, the remaining portraits for these two characters, the tilesets for that specific area, the album cover, the maps remaining, the new feature, and some more miscellaneous things. We hope that this month will be very productive and that we will be able to get the rest of the things needed for the demo done.
CLOSING:
And that was all, everyone! Thank you all for the big amount of patience and support we’ve been receiving; it means the world to us. As a way to thank you all for sticking with us, here are some sneak peaks at what we have been working on. We hope this makes you all even more excited for the demo, which we hope to get out by the end of the year. See you all in two months!

April, May and June Development Update

Hello everyone! It's been awhile since we've done of these right? I'm really, really sorry about that! But some things happened which kinda slowed down the development, but everything is solved, and development is going back on track! Anyways...
What we currently have done is:
- Some Tileset work for a specific area on the FARAWAY FOREST is almost done.
- YAMA's Battle Portraits are done.
- MARI's Battle and Dialogue Portraits are done.
- HERO's Dialogue Portraits are done
- BASIL's Dialogue Portraits are done
- KEL's Dialogue Portraits are done.
- Dialogue Portraits of another character is done.
- Some Weapon/Item Icons are done.
- The Script for the First Boss Battle and Tutorial are done.
What's currently being worked on
- Finish all the Tileset work for that specific area on the FARAWAY FOREST.
- SUNNY's Battle and Dialogue Portraits
- THE FOURTH PARTY MEMBER'S Battle and Dialogue Portraits
- The Script for some of the remaining Cutscenes.
...And some other stuff that can't be mentioned here due to spoilers... Sorry!
Anyways, thank you all for being so engaged in the project, we hope to be able to bring you all a demo soon! Here's also some nice sneak peaks of what we've been working on!
