“Hot...”

From a distance, the scene might look concerning. A young man laying face-down upon the ground, an open umbrella by his side as if he’d dropped it. And really, it was too hot for said young man, but the reality of the situation?

He was fine. Mostly fine, anyways, though he should really get up soon before ‘mostly fine’ became ‘certainly not fine,’ considering his health. Yet Rei remained on the ground, unmoving but continuing to groan in an overly-dramatic fashion.

“Putting a vampire in such a horrendous climate... oioioi, this is cruel, is it not? Isn’t it?��� What did he even hope to accomplish, anyways? Nothing, aside from fooling around for a moment (and giving himself a break from wandering about). “A vacation is not meant to steadily drain one’s life force, you know? (sob sob).” 

What a mess, really. Rei, that is.

An island that’s been covered in beautiful greenery everywhere he’s looked so far, one with a far more reasonable climate for the likes of him... 

So why did he have to end up somewhere so unreasonably hot instead? 

Rei almost feels a little bitter as he wanders around, but keeps it to himself, his usual calm expression present on his features instead. Well, it’s not like he could really complain; or rather, complain about it and get anywhere with it. It’s no use focusing on that anyways right now. Eventually, the vampire comes to a stop, brows quirking as he looks up to the building in front of him... florists, hm? 

“I shouldn’t be surprised, seeing such a thing on an island like this... oh?” His attention shifts, now looking off to the side as he notices someone else nearby. Had they been here the whole time? Was he just oblivious to his surroundings? “Do forgive me if I’ve gotten in your way. I was simply admiring the place, that’s all ♪.”

“Ah? Ah...”

Contrary to his initial thoughts, this was not just a weird dream. Sure, he remembers the letter he’d gotten, but he’d absolutely brushed it off as some kind of trick! Until the thing with the TV and all.

This was too much. Isn’t he too old for these things? Rei feels like he aged forty more years in the span of a few hours. His kind don’t belong on islands, he feels like he’s going to melt--oh, there’s someone up ahead? Good! Excellent! Just what he needed.

“Pardon me for my sudden interruption, but would you be willing to do a favor for an elder?” He doesn’t wait for an answer, not missing a beat before he poises said favor. “It’s quite simple, really. Simply pinch me. That’s all!”

New Beginnings [Intro]

   You’ve been left in your bedroom, still confused about the whole situation. You’re stuck on an island with no clear idea on how you got here. Just this stupid piece of paper telling you to ‘Enjoy your stay’ now. You contemplate leaving your room and start looking for an explanation on this whole thing from anyone really, but you stop in your tracks, attention turned to the television set in your room. It flickers to life, showcasing a series of images of the beach and islands, before a cheery peppy voice cuts through the serene music that was playing.

Yawning and stretching as he awakens and raises himself upright, before giving a glance around the room and--

“...This is most certainly not the light music club.”

Is he just going to lay down again and go right back to sleep? Absolutely. This is probably a weird dream, he’ll wake up later and it’ll all be normal again.

now that i’ve started this off with a true reflection of myself: hello! i’m tobi, i’m 23 and i’ve been RPing for uh. at least 8 years, probably more, sometimes you just can’t do math. and that’s okay. 

i don’t really have a lot of cool facts about myself so i’ll just throw some stuff into the wind now. i like to unironically say yeehaw a lot. for some reason someone framed an art project i drew in high school with vocaloids and put it in my room and it tires me every day. i like to wander around ikea because i think their stuff is cool. rei may love tomato-based products but i hate tomatoes with every fiber of my being.

all that aside--i’m excited to be here and excited to bring in one (1) mess of an idol boy. if you ever want to do some threads or plotting or anything, you can hit me up here or on my funky twitter. that’s all, folks!
