Damn. I am losing my touch. I could not have been any more off track with my major update predictions.

However, what we got, in my opinion, is so, so, so much more exciting. I have been waiting for this moment for YEARS. Since the minute I learned about it!

Look at this GORGEOUS graphic! I am obsessed with anything 80s. From the music, to the crazy hair and clothes, to the lingo, to the aesthetic... I was jumping around and squealing like a complete IDIOT at work when I saw others announcing it on Discord. I could not have been happier.

I'm doing a complete playthrough before offering my complete review on 80s mode. Stay tuned!

YandereSleuth's Prediction: What is Tomorrow's Update?

Tomorrow is the big day! 10/10/2021 at 10:10 PST! ... and I will be working that day. Crap.

Well, I guess I will have to theorize until a friend in my discord livestreams and I can watch at work, since we are slow anyway I get home.

The biggest clue we have is that this update will be related to the game's lore, somehow.

I think it's safe to say that my previous theory regarding the upcoming update can be (mostly) debunked, as you can't swap Megami and Ayano if this is completely separate from Ayano's storyline. However, I remain convinced that the lavender haired girl from the photo is related to Megami.

I will say that I truly do NOT believe this is 80s mode. I read somewhere that in 80s mode, the uniform skirts would be longer. With the silhouettes, you can see that the outfits are tailored similarly to the those in the current timeline.

So with that being said, I think there's only one other way that this update is going. <3

Theory Time: Who is the Main Protagonist in the Alternate Gameplay Mode?

I know, I know. I've been slacking. I'm sorry, guys!

While looking through the abundance of posts that I missed out on YandereDev's blog, I had a rather crazy thought come to mind. What if, in this gameplay mode, the roles were reversed? Instead of a character similar to Ayano, a character like Megami Saikou is the protagonist?

These two images caught my interest:

They are both clearly different characters, judging by the shape of the nose. However, I am convinced that one of these girls will be the protagonist. Have a look at this image:

If you look closely, you can see that the player has longer hair. The color of the hair seems dark, which would make one think that she could be the girl pictured on the left. However, if you have a look at the fifth and final screen shot of this blog post:

Her hair seems to be lighter!

Just a minor observation I made. Tell me what you think!

THIS JUST IN: A Big Announcement Video is Pending

Via the Yandere Simulator Discord, YandereDev tested a new feature and announced he is planning a "very large announcement" video. He stated that the script for said video is over 4000 words long, and it consists of 12 parts. At this point, it sounds like he is still finalizing the script, then he will begin creating the footage for the video. Therefore, the timeframe of the video's release is unknown.

Hello, world!

I'm sorry for my extended absence. Real life has been absolutely nuts, and likely the worst summer I've ever had.

My mother has been staying with me, and it's been confirmed she does have cancer; it's called multiple myeloma, which is cancer of the white blood cells. Her case is aggressive and a more rare cancer. She was hospitalized recently for dangerously high calcium levels. As the white blood cells eat away at her bone marrow, it releases excess calcium, which can cause a heart attack, organ failure and whatnot. It's a really wild cancer to have.

As a result of the white blood cells being affected, her resistance to any cold or infection is in the basement. And here we are, in the middle of a pandemic, with the delta variant.

She starts chemo on Thursday (her birthday.) It's been really hard to push forward, but I have no choice. There's no pause button, no rewind button. Things are just going to get worse.

I hope you all are well! Despite my absence on tumblr, I'm quite active in the Yandere Simulator discord. If you see someone named Prestonator, ping me and say hi! Unfortunately I had to close messages after being harassed by a few people.

New Blog Post!

I'm sorry, but there's going to be a major delay regarding the breakdown on YandereDev's latest blog post. I just have too much going on right now to focus my attention on it.

Momma sleuth is in the hospital. She was admitted on Friday with severe hip pain; she can't walk, stand, or even apply pressure on the hip. Initially, we just believed this was due to her (long past due) need for a hip replacement.

The hospital completed several scans and found a mass on her kidney and several more masses on her spine. At this point, the doctors seem really confident it's cancer.

They are biopsy-ing (is that a word) the masses later today and we're hoping to know something soon. Please keep the Sleuth family in your thoughts and prayers, if that's what you believe in. I just need as much support as I can right now. I'm falling apart.

BREAKING NEWS: The Final Build of Yandere Simulator [with Osana as the Sole Rival] IS HERE.

This is likely the most important blog post I have EVER made since I started this blog back in 2017.

You're probably reading the title right now, like, "What the hell?" YES, you read right. YandereDev's recently published blog post has revealed some MAJOR news:

"This is the final build of Yandere Simulator that only contains 1 rival. The next build of the game will have 10 rivals."

I REPEAT: "The next build of the game will have 10 rivals."

Yet, in Dev's typical demeanor, the details of this sudden jump in development will remain a secret. In this post, Dev has discussed a possible incentive regarding his patreon: By subscribing for a certain, monthly amount (to be determined), subscribers will have the ability to see sneak peeks. Understandably, he's concerned about leaks; He truly wants to keep this surprise, whatever it is, under wraps.

He did, though, leave us a little breadcrumb of a clue, by introducing a crafting system in the game. "Like I said above, this feature was actually an essential addition to the game. Why? It’s a secret!" He said. "For example, maybe I’m planning a plot twist where Info-chan is abruptly killed at the end of Week 2, so it needs to be possible to obtain certain items even without Info-chan’s help."

Even though he further states that he is not going to state the obvious reason for this new feature, I think there might be some (indirect) truth to it. Maybe this is just another option for players to opt in, instead of using the controversial Info-Chan. Or, more likely, there's something more.

I will make another post regarding this announcement later; I desperately need sleep. I just really wanted to get the news out first.

Dunno if you're ok on me answering like this also but I don't think Yan Sim community itself is toxic. Those that actually are in this fandom from what I've seen are some of the most relaxed and loveliest people (not including children on youtube comments) But gremlins are making it toxic which I guess is their goal to have everyone abandon yan sim and im just tired of it I want to love this game on peace with all its flaws without having to justify anything
