Consideration: perhaps Eddie did NOT book a last minute flight for Chris and call Texas in the middle of the night to arrange things. Perhaps he had already booked it before the fight ever happened (because he wants to test if Chris would be willing to move back by having him visit) and that’s part of why he was so insistent that HE was going to get the groceries—so he could pick stuff up for Chris/buy ingredients for the reunion dinner.

I need a scene between Eddie and Pepa where she says something like “I didn’t want you to be alone. But you haven’t been, have you?” And then leaves Eddie to stew in the implications. It can be canon or fanfic; I’m not picky.

I’m obsessed with the fact that multiple times this season now we’ve gotten to see buddie fights play out specifically with Eddie throwing around the “you make things all about you” line and I will always maintain that that does not reflect absolute reality (although Buck can be self centered sometimes, as can we all) but is actually Eddie saying, I resent that you can so easily allow yourself to be loud and obvious about your pain while I MUST™️ lock mine away deep inside and I can only let it out under the guise of anger at you (my best friend who I know will forgive me) I love them both so much 🥰

I think they’re gonna tell each other, like, pretty explicitly “I love you” and say how much they mean to each other and such. But they’re gonna intend to say it in the usual way, as very close friends. But then once they’ve said it, privately, they’re both gonna think like “huh. That felt…different” because it’s obviously gonna come across really romantic and like the kind of moment where they should kiss. But they’re both gonna decide to go “anywayyy…..” and play it off like everything’s cool and normal. But on the inside they’ll KNOW. The thought will be THERE, in their brains, ready to shout at them if they think about it for two seconds.
