Fighting is a common occurrence one that may be avoidable but most choose not to

It was different than now, before Mutsumi had a husband, before Taiyo came to the picture

There was another in-law among the Yozakura, someone who happenes to be the wife of Kyoichiro Yozakura

Another day in the Yozakura Mansion is what you tell yourself while you walk around holding books toward your shared room with your partner

But fate was not on your side, if you wish to just pass through the living room peacefully then make sure you have either a gun or taser cause there are a lot of shit going in there, one of it being your sister-in-law Mutsumi hiding behind the couch

Or Kengo pretending to be Futaba while saying things to mess with Shindo, it was another day indeed, nothing to worry about

Nothing at all except for the unexpected howl from Golliat whose tail you accidentally stepped on "HOOoooooowl!!!!!" Golliat howled while you fell backwards from shocked "Oh dear Golliat! I am very sorry!"

The guard dog still holding its tail and scowling at you "Grrr!" Guilt erupted from your chest from the accident and wanting to make it up for Golliat, you pulled out a treat of yours that you always keep whenever you have an attack

"Here Golliat, as my apologies if it's not enough just tell me I will give you some more. Do forgive me once again I was not able to see you due to the book blocking my view" You picked up the books and stood up while smiling at Golliat

But he seemed content with the treat you got him thus he paid you no mind, this made you smile and you pat his head before continuing your walk back to your shared room

Entering your the room you are surprised by the appearance of your husband not in a hologram but in flesh and bones, not in another mission but inside the room and just got out of the shower with a wound on his lower stomach

You gasped and put your books down before getting the first aid kit near the door and meeting him in the bed "Kyoichiro, what happened?" You asked while he sat down on the bed pulling you next to him "Nothing too worrying my love, just a minor injury that's all"

He was right it wasn't anything major just a simple scratch wound not deep but a bit big for your liking, it must be from one of his wires or something else

"Even so! I'm just glad you're doing fine and well" You whispered while cleaning his wound A rare but soft smile spread from your husband's face and look behind him where he dumped all of his clothes in a pile

He pulled out something from under and waited for you to finish bandaging his wound, you have gotten good at bandaging his thanks to the whole family almost everyday coming home wounded

Once done you kept the box away and Kyoichiro put a shirt on "My love, do come here I have something for you" Curiosity peeked at you and so you went to sit besides your husband

"What is it Kyo?" You asked, excitement beaming through you that made him laugh "Here my love I saw you were looking for this book in that small series of yours and I found it while returning home"

He handed you a book from one of your series, it was the special kind kind a limited event book that produced exactly 400 copies only the one you are missing from your series

Excitement found you once more and you took the book and read the title to make sure you weren't dreaming "It really is!" You shouted with happiness and looked at your husband who was smiling at you, not his sadistic smile but the soft smile reserved only for you

"I am glad you liked it, it was the last one on the store so I had to buy it for you" He said with pride and love "Kyo! Thank you! Thank you!" You dropped the book on the bed and envelope your husband on a hug, one he returned

"For you I can do anything my love, even getting a simple book" He proclaimed while smiling and rubbing your back "And that is one of the things I love about you Kyo! Thank you!" You let go of the hug after kissing his cheek and took the book

"I can't wait to start reading this!" You exlamied and put it in the table near a chair in the corner of your shared room "But I have a lot more to finish before starting that tho" You said and picked up the forgotten books from the door and put them in the bookshelf near the chair

"You can do that later my love, it's already pass midnight, I have a surprise for you tomorrow" He declared and picked up his used clothes and put them in the laundry basket near the door in the bathroom "We have an early day ahead of us" He continued and proceeded to lay on the bed waiting for you

"Ohh another one? I can't wait!" You said and quickly went to bed beside your husband "It is very rare that you are home, no more mission for the time being?" You asked curiously "Yup! I got them all done today so that I can have a break for 2 days with my wife" He said and placed a kiss on your forehead

"Im glad" You whispered while laying beside him "Were you worried nthat I ,might not return?" He teased with a sly smile "I was" You answered making his smile drop "I was worried that you might get hurt, that you might have died that I wont be able to see you again" You confessed to your husband

"Well you wont have to" He said and wrapped his arms around you "I am always ayaw on missions with the thought that by doing this I can keep you and my family safe, not just Mutsumi but my other siblings aswell" He was silent "Then always come back, not just to them but to me too-"

Your words were stopped when he suddenly kissed you "Always my love, I will always come back to you" He whispered after the kiss and pulled you down to the bed "Sleep awaits us my love, rest I know you had an eventful day" He whispered beside you while holding you close to his side

You are his treasure, once that he will protect with every fiber in is body, his queen, his world and his everything

His wife Yozakura Y/N, the one he will love, take care of and protect till death comes and even beyond all that you are his everything

It was just a random thought after rewatching the show and falling in love with Albis over again

It was just by chance and you were happy that it happened it was worth it, everything you did was for her

What drew you to her? What kind of spell did she do for you to become like this?

It was all her, even till you die, even if she never sees you, love you or acknowledge you the way you do

It was an unrequited love after all and she loved someone else already

It was her, the person you are in love

She was the person you wish to be with, yet faith seems to be playing tricks on you

For the person you love is none other than Albis, and the person she is in love with is none other than your older brother Benimaru

It was cruel yet you chose to help her get your brother's heart, instead of admitting your love for her, after all, you are happy when she is happy, even if it's not with you

"Ah, Y/N-sama!" A voice called out to you, looking back you saw Shion running towards you with a smile, following her was your sister Shuna

"Ah, hai? Shion-san and Shuna ne-chan? What may you need?" You asked with a raised eyebrow, you were about to head to the training grounds and participate in the training Hakurou asked you to master your skills and swordsmanship

They soon came to a halt when they were in front of you "Y/N-chan, where is ni-san?" Shuna asked, this made your eyes darken and your heart crumble more, but you forced yourself to your old attitude and smiled like there was no problem, hoping that none of them would notice

"Try the fields! I last saw him there with Albis-sama, seems like they were talking about something important so I did not bother them and left to tend to my duties and attend Hakurou-san training!" Shuna saw past your facade

You are her sister, and she can see right through you, before becoming a Kijin you were on par with strength, skill, and speed with your older brother, but now you went down to the second, that must be why Albis chose him, and not you

"Shion-san, please go check at the fields for ni-san, I must have a talk with my imouto" your sister said, Shion complied and left without another word "What do you wish to talk about ne-chan?" you looked at her once Shion was out of sight, only to see her looking at you already

"What's the matter imouto? That attitude and body language of yours must have fooled everyone, but it cannot fool me, I am your sister and before you argue, I can see it, I am not blind nor am I ignorant" she stated firmly, having no intention of backing down whatsoever

Yet you still chose to lie, even to your own sister despite everything she has told you, she got you all figured out yet you denied it all "I have no idea of what you are talking about ne-chan! I am still me! I am still Y/N! Yours and ni-san imouto!" you replied with a fake smile she could see through easily

You suddenly felt warm arms wrapped around your waist, and you saw your sister hugging you, this is suddenly the first time she hugged you again, she last gave you a hug after your whole village was murdered, after all, you saw your parents get butchered to death right in front of you, Benimaru first found you and left you to Shuna in a safe place, there Shuna saw your face dried with tears, blood covering your clothes, arms, and cheek, your puffy red eyes and the tears that continue to go down your cheeks

It broke her heart to see you that way, you were always cheerful, but maybe seeing your parents die right in front of you was your breaking point, because after Shuna saw you like that, you looked at your bloodied hand, more specifically your parent's blood and feel to your knees only to cry and shout in misery, Shuna was devastated not only because she lost her parent but she saw you at your weakest state yet, she knelled down beside you and gave you a hug, after that, you refused any contact with anyone again

It was hard to accept that but you changed when you saw Albis for the first time, it was love at first sight, you were welcoming them as envoys from another nation, she was beautiful and lovely, and that was the first time Shuna saw your eyes light up once more, she was happy for you but that didn't last long after all Albis wanted a strong mate, sure you were stronger than her but so was your brother, and she chose your brother, Shuna saw all the light in your eyes vanish the moment you heard Albis and Suphia talked about their love life and how Albis spoke about wanting Benimaru as a mate

Shuna was there to give you comfort but you chose to bury your emotions deep down like they never existed and continue on with your life, it was hard but Albis was happy that was all that mattered to you

Tears stream down your face without you noticing, Shuna felt the warm liquid fall to her shoulder making a wet patch on her clothes but chose to ignore them and hug you tight in her arms "You don't have to hide anything from me Y/N, you can always trust me, and I only want the best for you just like ni-san would want, so tell me what's on your mind imouto" she asked in a hushed tone

Your facade suddenly fell and your tears continued to stream down your cheeks falling onto your sister's clothes, her hug was as warm as it always had been, yet this time it seemed a bit warmer to your skin

You didn't mind it at all, you actually found it more comfortable at the moment, you refused to talk yet your sister opened her arms and gave you the comfort you needed

Unaware of the eyes looking at you two behind the main building, the looks they gave were one of sorrow and guilt?

"Imouto you know you can talk to me right?" you did not answer only giving a nod of confirmation and letting it all be as it is "Do you wish to rest? If so I can tell Hakurou-san, I know that he will understand it" her voice was gentle and understanding, she was calm, composed and patient with you

Shaking your head you let go of your sister with small sniffles and wiped your tears away, you looked at your sister with a smile, but a fake one that she could easily identify "Nonsense ne-chan, I am fine" your most used line falling down your lips once more

With a smile that did not reach your closed eyes, you waved her goodbye and started to walk away from her "I have to get going now ne-chan, Hakurou-san might get mad at me for being late! Goodbye!"

Shuna was worried, but she had her own duties to do, so with a sigh she turned around and walked away not noticing the two individuals watching her and her sister's retreating form

"Forgive me Albis-sama, I must end our tour early due to family problems," your brother Benimaru said while walking away from the wall he was hiding from with Albis following him

"I understand, go now your sister must be in so much pain, I can manage to explore on my own so do not worry and focus on that first" Albis said with a smile and walked away with a wave of her hand to the other direction

"There is a lake close from here if you wish to see it, I assume that you would like the view and scenery it offers," Benimar said and started his trek to look for you

With a smile, Albis continued her walk towards the lake Benimaru suggested, upon arriving she was amazed at the breathtaking scenery she saw, the lake was wide and clear, perfect for a small dip to freshen up

After admiring the view from afar Albis started her walk down towards the lake to have a clearer view but stopped in her tracks, she heard sobbing close to her

Her instinct urged her to act up and follow the sound leading her to a side of the forest where she saw the lake was near a huge tree, but what took her interest was the being sitting down below the tree bawlling its eyes out

'Who is that? Why are they here?' questions floded Albis, questions only the being could answer but before she could take a step forward the beinf stood up and Albis was forced to hide once more

The next few moments surpised Albis for the being was slowly being recognized as Benimaru's sister, Y/N-chan 'What is she doing here?' with tears falling down from her eyes to her cheek, Y/N went down from the tree and walk a few steps until she was about 1 feet away from the lake

The tears did not stop infact they continued their way down her eyes, Albis feeling worried and saddened by what she saw was conflicted on whether to turn back and call her sibling or come out and comfort the girl herself, but she holds herself back

"Damn this life of mine" Looking at the girl, Albis could see her smile holowed with sadness and sorrow "Of all people, you just had to fell in love with her" Albis was confused you were inlove? So what was the problem of that?

"Why did it had to be her?" Albis saw the girl lay down on her back and stared at the sky, she noticed the tears not stopping from falling "She already chose someone, you heard it clear that night"

For some unkown reason Albis could feel guild eating her chest from the inside, but doesnt know why "Yet it still hurts" she then sit up and sat crosed leg while looking beyond the lake, the smile that Albis always saw soon turned to a frown that also made herself frown

"No point in holding on false hope" Albis saw sadness once more coud the girl's eyes before it evaporated into emptiness, she then grabed a flower that was growing near the lake and stood up

"I should let it all go, there is no point in bottling it all in when the reality is right before my eyes playing the scene that I wish to avoid" she then kissed the flower and the tears she thought were gone slowly fell once more

"Goodbye and I love you dearly, Albis-sama" shock crashed down on Albis 'She loves me?' questions flooded her mind "I hope you are loved dearly by my brother, just as you have wished" the girl continued and let go of the flower with a small frown

Albis saw the girl wipped her tears and walked away from the lake with emptiness clouding her eyes, Albis left the tree and walked toward the lake where she could still see the flower floating

Unknowingly Albis took the flower and kept it before returning back to the village, upon returning she saw Benimaru talking with Shuna, her heart was then filled with guilt, yet she still did not know why

When she saw the scene right before her, she was surprised and confused, she did not know what to do when she noticed Benimaru and Shuna were near she then fastened her pace to avoid them

Albis arrived at her shared room with Suphia, seeing that her roommate was not present Albis collapsed at the front of the door, her mind swirled with confusion and questions

But even with these, she could see the sadness on your face, the hurt expression she would see when she that flashes on your face whenever she would ask you about her brother and the fake smiles you would give that gave her goosebumps

She started to remember the times you would ask her if she was free but got turned down, she would remember the times you helped her yet she only looked at your brother, she could see the lingering stare you would give from far away, the stares she mistook that were directed to her

She wanted to change her mistake but did not know how, how could she just say that she regretted not paying attention, how could she say that she was sorry for not being able to return your feelings

She knows that would destroy you, even if you chose to hide it, how could she make it better without the risk of hurting you? How could she fix this without hurting you more than you already feel?

How can she say to you that her heart belongs to your brother? She can't and that's the problem, she doesnt know why she cant do it

You were young, if she tells you now you can get over her and find someone else, you still have potential

That's what she says to herself, that its for the best when she knows its not

How can she? When you look at her the world was suddenly better, the world was not dull anymore in her eyes, your smile was everything she wanted to see, but she liked your brother more

But does she?

A knock interrupted her thoughts and the sweet voice she wanted to hear rang through the doors to her ears "Albis-sama, are you there? Sophia-sama was looking for you" Your voice was sweet and cold, It was very familiar to her ears

But it was also very different and new to her, like a new version of you from when she saw you down by the river just a while ago "Albis-sama? Can you not hear me?" You asked once more

"Ahh! I'm sorry" Your shocked expression, red eyes and nose from all the crying you did "Sorry I was doing somethingand was not able to hear you" She reasoned

"Its perfectly fine Albis-sama" You answered after composing yourself on the earlier happenings "I was tasked to escort you to the main hall as per the order of Rimuru-sama, he asked for your participation for this meeting along with Suphia-sama, who has already arrived at the hall" You said with a small bow

"How many times have I told you that you should just call me Albis?" She tried to play it off while you both walked toward the Main Hall "Forgive me Albis-sama, but I realize that calling you by your first name without any honorifics is very rude if me given our positions" Your answer made her stop in her tracks

Turning back you saw her standing there still "Albis-sama?" You called out but she was not responding

Meanwhile, Albis was hurt, she thought that both of you were well past that talk already "I told you to call me Albis and not that" She said slowly and raised her head looking at you "And as I have also stated I cannot given our positions" You answered back

"I understand your frustration, but I asked you to cooperate with me given the circumstances that we have Albis-sama" She gritted her teeth with anger, and through it all, she did not realize that she took your hand and dragged you to somewhere opposite of the Main Hall

"Albis-sama?" You called out but she was too deep in her thoughts to even hear you "Albis-sama!" You pulled your hand back and shouted when you recognized the river where you were this morning

How did she know this place? How were you back here once again? How can you stop your heart from beating with love for her? Questions lingered your mind and you hated it

"Why are we here Albis-sama? You need to return now and attend the meeting" You answered and saw her trembling hands "Albis-sama?" You called out once more

"Im.... sorry" She answered "For what? All I know is that they are looking for you as we speak, so we must return at once" You said once more this time insisting on the fact that you both must return and turn to get ahead of her

"We cannot" She answered timidly and you turned to look at her once more "What are you saying that we cannot?" You asked her "I just told you that we cannot" She answered back "I heard but why?"

She was racking her brain for reasons, what to tell you, and how

How has she not realized that she merely liked your brother but loved you

How can she? After rejecting almost everything you asked her, she should not have chased your brother but you, for she did not love your brother but you

So why was she stupidly saying to herself that she did not deserve you? When in fact she wanted you all this time?

"I'm sorry" was all she could say and this confused you even more "Sorry? On what?" Why was she apologizing? It is not like she could change the past and accept all those missed outings that you asked her to

"I am confused why are you saying sorry?" Anger builds on your chest "Why are saying that now?" You could not hold back anymore "Why are you saying this to me when I have declared to give up on you?!" You could not stop what came out and you regretted it

Her pure expresion of shock caught you off guard, she did not know cause she was focused on your brother more "Why?" You asked more softly and cautiously "Why are you doing this?"

She slowly stepped in your way direction and held your cheeks, you were crying yet you did not care "Why are you saying sorry now?" You asked once more but her silence was killing you "Now when I have just told myself to let you go?" Your voice was barely a whisper at this point but you wanted answers

Tears dripped from your eyes to her hand as she held your face, It was warm and soft "I'm sorry for not realizing everything" She finally spoke and you snapped your eyes towards her own "What?" You asked

"I like your brother, yes that's true" She said and your heart broke more "But I should have not ignored my love for you" Her words confused you she liked your brother but loved you "What do you mean?" You asked trembling lips scared of the answer

"I liked your brother for the strength and confidence he has shown not only to me but to every one of us" She said and added "But I loved you on how you make me smile and made every problem a solution with a bit of mischief and fun, your confident smile and blazing eyes that spark me, I should have seen it long before" She paused

"But I was too blinded by having a strong competent mate that I forgot the very first thing I should have looked for" She held both of your cheeks with her hand and looked at you with a wide smile "It was that love is the very first requirement, and it was your love that gave me that"

She was smiling and so were you, before you knew it your lips were on hers, they were soft, smooth and tasted like the wine grape she came to love, she was not forceful and was very gentle, guiding you on your next step and what to do

When air became a problem you both let go with smiles that could counter any sadness and anger, you could feel her honesty and sincerity, the looks she gave you was what you always dreamed of

"I should have done that long before" She commented and smiled widely, an embarrassment in the shades of red covered your face and you ducked your head to her neck attempting to her yourself from the situation you were in

"Dont vanish from me now, I just got what I should have from the very beginning and I am happy that I did" She pushed your hair a bit and held you tight in the waist, you merely grumbled while she chuckled "Be a dear and answer my question please" She stated and you nodded

"Will you be willing to go out with me? Even after everything I did?" She asked and you froze but nodded with a smile on your face while still buried in her neck "It seems I was lucky enough to have you accept my request" She kissed you and smiled

The meeting can wait cause she is with you now, she won't let go of you now and she certainly regretted not being honest first

It ended well for everyone and she is happy with that

She has you right where you belong, with her

Hello! I read a recent fic done containing soulmates, picks being Ningguang, Lisa, and La Signora. It was written in such a fun way and I loved it. What I loved even more, though, was Jean's appearances and continous help to the reader.

Now, I LOVE Jean. Besides Lumine, Jean is my top genshin girl since the very beginning so seeing her being portrayed being so strong and caring (same way I usually think of her, ofc) made me plead if it would be possible to make a soulmate! (or any kind of fanfic honestly) Jean x reader.

Looking around the scenery was perfect, the air was fresh and Jean could smell the fresh dandelions, the weather was clear there was no sign of any storm nor rain

"Hello Katherine" Jean greeted the receptionist with a smile "Hello to you too, Master Jean" The girl replied with also a smile to Jean "Anymore commissions for me? I am quite free for the day" Jean asked hoping to have one that is outside of the city

"It seems we still have quite a few but most of them requires you to leave the city, will that be alright?" Jean gave a nod to which the girl prepared the details of 4 commissions and started to read them one by one to Jean

"There are 4 commissions in total, one of them you have to go at Dragonspine to deliver some supplies they will be needing" The girl said handing a piece of paper to Jean

"Next you have a commission at Dawn Winery, where you are asked to get rid of some monsters that are terrorizing the crops they have planted, the number of monsters are unknown" Katherine handed another paper to Jean

"Be careful with that commission because they might have some back up" Jean nodded and took the paper "Then your third commission, you are required to assist a group of adventurers in clearing the path that goes to Liyue along the borders"

Katherine handed another paper to Jean and picked up the last one "Your final commission consists of going to Starsnatch Cliff and collecting Cecilia flowers" Katherine said and handed Jean the last paper

"Thank you Katherine, I shall be back once I finished these" Jean said confidence leaking to her voice, she was confident but she did not know why

"Take care and Ad Astra Abyssosque to you Master Jean" Katherine said her farewell to the leaving Acting Grand Master, she noticed her confidence and confusion left the girl

The Jean she usually see taking so many commission put up a brave face but she could see her tiredness and sadness, something Katherine pick up when the Acting Grand Master was near

Jean was quick and efficient in doing her work, she finished her first commission in delivering the suplies with breeze and made quick work of the monsters at Dawn Winery

She moved like the dandelions dancing in the wind, swift and sharp, she was then in her third commission in helping the adventurers from both Liyue and Mondstadt

Looking around Jean can recognize a few of them, like the unluck kid Bennett with his friend and Lisa's student Razor, she could also recognize Mona

From Liyue she could see the Crux captain Beidou, the light-blue haired exorcised boy with his friend, she could also see the famous cook from Liyue, Xianling

But what caught her eye the most was the figure covered in a coat, she could not see their face but something in Jean is telling her that the person is important, but before she could make conversation in a blink of an eye the person then vanished

Jean blinked a couple of times but she could not find the person, she was hoping to see their face, the only thing she could see was the dusty gray scenery in front of her

The horns sounded indicating the beginning of the partnership on clearing a path from the lurking monsters at the borders of both Liyue and Monsadt

Jean knew she had to focus, she could not lose that now, she should only think about the incoming enemies ahead, but why is it that Jean still goes back to the caped person she saw earlier?

Shaking her head Jean snapped out of her thoughts quick enough to see a slime attacking her, dodging in time and preparing a attack to counter the slime

After a few hours of the battle it then ended with Jean only receiving minimal wounds, thought the orders were not as lucky like her and received big cuts and bruises on them

Jean was glad it was finished, she then left when she had her minor wounds checked and bandaged, there was one more commission to finish for the day

Travelling to Starsnatch Cliff her mind drifted back to the hooded person once more, she was not able to see if they were at the clinic due to so many people asking if she was fine

Jean was starting to get frustrated, she was curios and her curiosity is starting to take over her now

Shaking her head she repeated the word's in her head 'I have to stay focus on the mission at hand' Jean continued her walk to her destination with the same person lingering and making their mark to her mind

She still wanted to see them, something in her light up in the sight of the person, it was liked she was being pulled why an invisible forced to that person

She was getting restless but she had to focus or things could go sideways for her mission, even if it was a simple commission about collecting flowers, it could still go haywire along the way

Arriving at Starsnatch Cliff, she started to collect the needed flowers to her commission "Alright I got about 10 now , just need another 10 more to finished this" She said to her self

Continuing her walk and collecting the rest of the flowers she then heard a scream, one agonizing and call for help 'Someone must be in danger!' She thought while dropping her things to the side and running to the direction of the scream

There she saw a young girl from Monsadt, Ally she believe, but she could not think long for the girl once again scream for help "HELP! Anyone pls! HELP ME!" The girl was being attacked by a group of monsters, and they were closing on her quick

"Hold on! I'm coming!" Jean shouted and summoned her sword, the monsters notice of her but only some decided to attack her while the rest closed in on Ally

'There are too many of them, I need to make a path so that she could leave but to do that I need to get closer to her' Jean thought continuously but due to the monsters attacking she was having a hard time doing so

She was continuously using her vision to blow the enemies away from her, but the more she used it the more she started to get tired and and the monsters started to make a pattern to attack her

"Pls, help me!" Ally could merely shout once she reached the tip of Starsnatch Cliff, one more step and she could fall to her death, Jean has to move quick

A shadow passed above of Jean and suddenly a sea of flames surrounded her "What?" Confused a figure drop in front of her and another surge of power was released, this time it was a wave of ice and spikes of ice formed

"Dammit! Was I too late?" The new person said and lifted their arm where Jean could see flames form, it was dark and ominous but in Jean's eyes they were beautiful

"Ashes fall!" The person shouted and the black flames shot out of her hand and into each of the monsters present, all continued to burn to the ground and not ashes even remain

The person started to walk to the girl, Jean could see Ally was terrified about what happened, and seeing the person who eliminated so many monsters in a quick short span of time

Jean despite the pain, endured it and walked to the girl first making the person stopped in their track "Ally are you alright? Sorry I was late" Jean said to the terrified girl

"You seem fine now" The person spoke and by her voice she could hear a woman, looking at the girl who has fallen unconscious, Jean looked at the woman

She could not see her face but she could hear the girl took a deep breath, it made Jean confused why did the woman's breath hitched?

"Your name?" The hooded woman said or mumbled softly "What?" It was soft so Jean was not able to hear her "I asked for you name" The woman said once more, a bit louder now

'Ah, right I have not introduced myself to her just yet' Jean stood up and saluted to her "Forgive me for the late introduction, I am the Acting Grand Master Jean Gunnhildr of the Knight of Favonius" Jean said with a small bow

"Jean" She could hear the soft mumble of her name from the woman in front "What a beautiful name" She added "And who might you be miss?" Jean asked the woman

"Ah right, I am Y/N a passing wanderer" The woman named Y/N pulled their hood and jean saw her face, Jean saw the eyes of the girl and a bust of color engulfed her sight

"You are beautiful, those colors suit you the most" Jean could hear Y/N say softly and lowly, once her vision cleared Jean could see her once dull and gray world is now full of color and and beauty

Y/N hearing all of these was left flustered by Jean's words and looked away when Barbara looked at her sister and asked more questions 'Shit! Get your shit together Y/N!' She mentally scolded herself

"Well Barbara, that should be all" Jean said to her sister "But I am afraid we will have to go back and finish some things" Jean told her sister with a sad smile seeing her sister deflate

Y/N took this opportunity to pull up her hood once more to hide not only her eyes but also her blushing face "Alright big sister" Barbara looked at Y/N and smiled "Y/N! Please take care of my sister! She tends to overwork herself to the point of passing out!" Barbara shouted to Y/N

"B-barbara!" Jean scolded her sister "Bye sis! Bye Y/N!" Barbara shouted and left them to tend to the wounded once more, stunned Y/N let out a small laugh making Jean looked at her

"You have a lovely sister" Y/N said with a smile and turned around "Ah, yes I am sorry about her once more" Jean apologized to her about her sisters actions

"Jean, its fine" Jean looked at her soulmate "In truth I find it amusing" Y/N added and started to walk down the stairs "Well then , you said we still have one more stop? Shall we?" Y/N extended her hand to Jean once she reached the third step

"Please don't keep me waiting I do wish to spend time with my soulmate" Y/N said and Jean hurriedly hold Y/N's hand and lead her back to her office with a wide smile

"Then I shall be sure not to keep you waiting anymore" Jean stated making Y/N smile, the wind blew away her hood and Jean who looked back saw her smile

"Thank you" Jean her Y/N whisper softly "I'm your soulmate, its my duty!" Jean stated with confidence making Y/N smile more

This was the happiest day of her life

Trying to process Jean sigh and stood up pulling you with her, she took the picture from you and set it to the bedside table in your side of the bed, she pulled you back to her lap once she took your place in the bed and hugged you tightly

"I do not know what made you think that way my flower" she said and buried her head in your neck "Because in my eyes no one can ever replace you, for you are the definition of future for me" her answer made you gasp

Confused you asked around and saw the same guard that stopped you at the gate last night walking around, most likely patrolling the area

"Umm, excuse me?" you waved at him, he then stopped and looked at you "Ohh, it's you again the gal from last night, what are you doing here?" he asked looking at you

"Oh, the lad– no sorry, I mean the Acting Grand Master asked for me to come here today, but I was wondering what is all the commotion about? There are so many people here" you said while looking around looking at the people

"I see, yes you are right, the Tianquan of Liyue is currently here hence the millileth are also here, the ones in dark clothing are here for the Fair Lady from Sheneznaya, I don't know why they are here, but you should got to the Acting Grand Master, she must be looking for you right about now" he then bid you farewell after a couple of 'thanks' coming from you

You then head towards the doors and went inside, asking another guard where the office of the Acting Grand Master was, they then point it to you

Knocking on the door startled the four people inside, Jean being the one with authority and owning the office granted you permission to enter

"Sorry to disturb yo–" you stopped in your tracks when you opened the door, locking eyes with three of the four women in the room you suddenly see a burst of colors, everything was beautiful

You could also see their eyes going wide from seeing you, suddenly your soulmate mark at your neck started to itch a bit, it left you gasping

That seems to have broken everyone from their trance, the first lady went up to you, she was wearing red and black, her platinum blonde hair was covering a part of her eyes, while her light gray eye are what you catch the most beautifully

"My, my, looks like this one is a fine catch, should I consider myself lucky for finding you here of all places tiger?" she asked with a smirk, looking directly at your eyes,

She was then interrupted by another person whose hair is also platinum blonde while her eyes shine like rubies in the dark, this person was wearing a midnight blue outfit that showed all her curves

"Who said she was your catch? I think you are solely mistaken, for I think– no for I know I have her as a big catch, right my dear?" she said looking at your direction

Before you could answer another voice interrupted you, it was a dark brown haired woman with emerald green eyes, she was wearing a purple dress and a matching purple hat

"Ara~ That seems to have been my catch good miss, you two are fighting a losing game for she already is my catch from the start, right cutie?" she asked looking at your direction

'How did I end up here?!' you thought to yourself, this was not how you imagined your day to turned out, you were merely planning to explore after meeting the Acting Grand Master and stay in Mondstadt for a week or two maybe three at most, not find your soulmate(s) in one place

You wanted to get out of here so you did the most logical yet idiotic thing you could think of at that moment, you ran, out of the headquarters and out of the city towards the path that leads to a small village you only stopped when you think you were far enough already

Hoping that you are you looked around only to see that you ran so far that your knees suddenly gave up on you making you fall to the ground

"This day just gets worse doesn't it???" You asked nobody but yourself before laying down to the soft grass beside the road, it was peaceful, the wind blows music of the bards and your problems suddenly became nothing but a blur

Yet you know that hiding can get you nowhere, you have to face them, you have to confront them, but you were also afraid of rejection, so a peace like this was something you are thankful for at the moment

Looking up you saw the clouds dance together, a simple show just for your eyes the colors they poses were majestic, like a rainbow dancing on the sky

You sigh once more before sitting up, looking at the road you are on you can see the vast green grass, the brown dirt road and the trees that hang fruit

You decided that this is enough and stood up, you patted your clothes to take the dust away before starting your walk back to Mondstadt

While walking you can see a few knights that were patrolling the area, still mesmerized by the colors that are around you, it was very different from the dull world you come to know of

After arriving back at the city you prayed with your life that those three soulmates of yours were not there at Jean's office if you were to return again

So you decided to go straight to your hotel and washed up, then to change your dirty clothes and get them cleaned for your next use, after that you went straight back to the Knights Headquarters to hopefully talk with Jean once more

Upon arriving there were less people than earlier, hoping that you won't have to run into those three was a mere wishful thinking, going straight to Jean's office and listening 'She seems to be alone now, good' knocking you wait for a confirmation to come in

Once you were allowed you slowly opened the door and went inside "Jean, sorry for running aw-" you stopped on your tracks when you saw those three woman again

"Sorry, I can come back later" you said in a hurry before trying to close the door but was stopped by Jean holding it "No need, come inside and don't try to run away again" she said before opening the door and leading you inside

Once you were inside she then closes the door and went back to her office chair after giving you a chair to sit on

You could feel their gaze on you, their eyes bored on your back, you tried your best to not look in their way as much as possible while waiting for Jean to speak up

"Now that you're here, I shall get straight to the point, Y/N upon arriving at the city, you have not caused a single problem, that is good and I expect it to stay like that" she said before handing you some paper

"Please fill this form out so we can confirm your stay here, it will also help us in knowing and assisting you in the future, you also have to send a copy of this to the adventure guild if you wish to venture outside of the walls and become an adventurer" she added before handing you a quilt pen

You started filling out the form but stopped when you arrived at a questions you do not wish to answer "Jean, would it be alright to not out anyone related to me?" you asked the blonde girl who looked up at you "Do you not have a family? Parents or siblings?" she asked back

"...I do but...I cut contact with them" you answered back "I see, you may leave it blank, do not worry" she said with a smile and continued on with her work, you then finished and handed it over to Jean

"Alright, this is good, now then I will give you this copy so you can hand it over to the adventures guild for you to join" she said before storing it at her drawer

"Now before another fight starts once more you can leave and take those three soulmates of yours with you" she said '...She basically kicked me out with those three!' you shouted on your mind when you left her office with the other people

"Ara~ Looks like Jean is going to be busy once more, what a shame~" the woman with a purple hat said with a sympathetic look for the Acting Grand Master while looking at the closed door, she then looked back at you with a smile "Now, we should have a talk, all four of us" she said before walking toward the opposite door of Jean's office

"We should take this talk to somewhere more private than a hallway, do you not agree, miss Harbinger? Miss Tianquan?" she added while looking at the other two who gave a nod before following her "Let's go my dear, this way" the other woman who has ruby red eyes called out before holding your hand and leading you toward the other door across

"Come in, have a seat while I prepare some tea for us to enjoy" the lady with a purple hat said leading you all to a concealed room behind the bookshelves where a couch, coffee table, a bed with some bedside table and lamps are

Looking at the direction the woman went you saw a long table with different flowers, fruits and ingredients lined up with some pot or cauldrons and things to make tea (you presume)

"None of you are allergic to anything right? Just to know so I won't accidentally put anything you are allergic to" she said while setting up a stove

"None that I have known of" the woman with ruby red eyes answered "I also have none" the other woman added "Great! What about you cutie? Anything you're allergic to?" she asked looking in your direction, you weren't able to answer just nod indicating that you also have no allergies whatsoever

A few minutes later she sat down with the tea in a cup to be served and a teapot, she put it down at the coffee table before looking back to you

"Tea anyone?" she gestured to all of you, the woman on your left with the dazzling pale blue eyes reached for a cup before drinking, she was then followed by the woman on your right with ruby red eyes, and just like her you to follow their lead, taking a cup and drinking it's contents

"It's very delicious!" you said before taking another sip, you heard a soft laugh, you looked up seeing the person who served you tea was giggling "Did I say something wrong? Or what?" you asked looking around you saw the other two people also holding their laughter but were also having a hard time doing so

"It's nothing for you to be afraid of, we just found your excitement very refreshing so it is making us happy that little things like these can make you smile so bright, my dear" the person on your right said with a smile, her smile made your heart beat faster, your face flushed with shame and embarrassment

They saw your ears turn bright red when you looked down, suddenly finding the floor more interesting that them "I-..." you tried to answer but was consumed with shyness

"There is nothing to be ashamed of, it's normal, so don't push yourself too hard Tiger" the woman on your left, she was quiet but still spoke, you just noticed but her voice was icy yet hot at the same time, it might have turned you on, just a bit

"She is correct cutie, and I am glad you liked how I brew my tea, if you wish I could teach you the steps" the woman in front of you said with a smile lingering her face

Still ashamed you just nodded and continued to drink your tea, a comforting silence overtook the room while you were enjoying tea

It was not uncomfortable, more like peaceful and relaxing, like a place that I belonged

The silence was soon broken by the beautiful platinum haired lady with light gray eye and a mask proudly covering half of her face "We should continue with the matter at hand" she said bringing her cup to the table and crossing her legs with her arms while looking at you who was beside her

'I'm dead, I'm so so dead!' you thought while sipping on your tea trying to ignore her hard gaze "Your words carry truth Harbinger Signora, we must get this all sorted out at once" the other person beside you said 'Her name is Signora? Wow it's beautiful' you said to yourself

"My dear you must tell us who you pick as your soulmate, it is custom for a person to have only one soulmate thus you must pick" her words hit you hard 'I have to pick one?' you were sad and devastated by the thought alone, it was like your heart was torn to million pieces by her words alone

"Now, now Tinaquan Ningguang, forcing her to pick without even knowing her opinion is something not worth it, because what if she doesn't want to pick?" the lady in purple said

"The librarian is correct Tianquan Ningguang, having her pick might only drift her away from any of us" Signora added while looking at them "Then what do you propose miss Lisa?" Ningguang asked the librarian you came to know as Lisa

"Hmm? Quite simple really, we just share her that's it" she said and put her cup of tea down, you were the only one drinking tea, feeling alone you put your tea at the table too "We share? Share as in we all have her? As in she does not have to pick?" Signora was baffled by the thought

"Yes, we share her, that way she does not have to pick and the other two do not have to suffer from losing a soulmate" she added "I refuse!" Signora said more like shouted at Lisa standing up "Like what Ningguang said she needs to pick, it's uncommon for a person to have a relationship with more than one person and you wish to share her?! Outrageous!" She shouted at her

You were frozen in your spot not knowing what to do "Weren't you just opposed to her idea due to the idea of either one of us drifting away from another if she ever picked?" Lisa countered her gaze instantly knowing what Signora meant

"Or are you worried if we share her, the attention, love and time she will give might not be in your favor?" She asked with a slight teasing tone, and based on the flinch you saw Signora had, Lisa hit the right topic

She wasn't in favor of sharing you and she is also not in favor of letting you pick 'Then what the hell do they want from me?!' you thought angrily, everything you do is like planned for you, yet you refuse to be doing this when none of them even consider asking for your opinion

They are all worried for their own and forgot that you have opinions and can make decisions for yourself, you didn't need them if they continue to discuss this without asking you first

It made you angry that this was all they wanted, that they never thought of what you want to do, of what your opinion is, so you made the decision to leave

Standing up you quietly and quickly went to the door hoping to not be seen, when you reached the door you opened it and went out making your way towards Jean's office

The sudden opening and closing of the door made the three of them realise you have left, they can feel it your emotions were all over the place before you went out, they could feel your anger, sadness and hopelessness, yet they have no idea why you felt that way

They all look at each other to indicate a truce for now in order to look for you, right now you were their top priority, to find you first

While they went out of the Headquarters to look for you, Jean looked at your dull eyes with her tired ones "Sorry Jean, but may I reside here for a moment?" You asked earning a nod from the grandmaster herself

You went towards the couch and sat down remembering everything they have said from the beginning to the end, Jean sensing that you are quite down at the moment stood up from her chair and sat down to the opposite couch from where you are

"Something seems to be troubling you Y/N, may I ask what it is?" her question caught you off guard 'Looks like she saw right through me already' you thought and tried to avoid answering her "It's nothing Jean, I was just deep in thought nothing too serious" you smiled at her

She wasn't buying it at all, before she could respond the door leading to her office burst open, looking back there she saw Lisa out of breath with sweat dripping down her face, Jean can clearly see that she was worried and looking for something

Putting the fact that you are here and Lisa is looking worried for no reason at all, she managed to know that it was you Lisa was looking for, and the Tianquan along with the Harbinger must also be looking with her

Deciding her next move Jean stood up and went towards the door, leaving you by yourself at the couch, once at the door Lisa looked at her 'It seems they have not yet saw Y/N due to the darkness in my office' Jean thought to herself before holding the door for Lisa and the other two, promoting them to enter her office

"The night is above us yet you three are here in my office, may I ask why?" she asked while they settle themselves inside her office, clearly have not caught sight of you just yet "Jean, have you seen Y/N? We must find her!" Lisa said her voice laced with worry for her soulmate

"I did saw her, but why must you find her?" Jean countered not revealing where your current location is "Acting Grandmaster, forgive my rudeness but we must find her at once, if you know where she might have been please tell us" it was Ningguang who asked Jean this time, she was breathing hard just looking for you

"Whether I tell you where she is is up to me, before I do hand you that information tell me why must you find the girl?" Jean remained strong, she must find out what happened before going forward "If you have no intention of telling me your reasons then forgive me but I will not tell you anything" she added

"Jean!" Jean was surprised that Lisa shouted at her, it was a first that it happened, Lisa has never shouted at her, this must be really important "You must tell us Jean! Please! I beg of you!" Lisa begged Jean, the Acting Grandmaster's resolve is close to crumbling, but she still chose to remain in her position of not saying anything

"No matter how much you beg me Lisa, my decision remains, if you wish to find Y/N you must tell me why you are looking for her in the first place" her words are firm with authority making the other three silent

"We made a decision without asking her opinion on it" it was the Harbinger this time that talked "We must clear the misunderstanding at once, it is our fault in the first place for not paying attention and asking her opinion before making these decisions that will ultimately affect her too" she added

Jean closed her eyes, she now knows why you went to her office, but now she does not know how to proceed with the situation, she looked at you past the three people in front of her, looking straight at your eyes silently asking whether she can disclose your location to them

You debated and nod your head at Jean, she saw and released a sigh "Fine, I will give you her location" this statement made the others happy even if they don't show it "Under one condition" she added making the three frown and gave a nod of their own "You three must make amends and let her decide, having only one soulmate must be hard especially when you three are from different nations, you must listen to her and try your best to come up with a solution that benefit all of you and not just you" she finished

The three looked at her and nodded their heads, they know their mistakes and wish to change that, they also want to make sure you never felt that you are some kind of pet for their entertainment only, you are their soulmate and they are very sorry they never showed it right from the beginning

"Good" Jean said before looking past them, the others got curious at what she was looking at looked behind them, there they saw a figure at the sofa before the light shines, that figure was their soulmate, she was here all this time

"Y/N!" Lisa was the first to walk towards the girl followed by the other two, they didn't take a seat beside her instead they kneeled down in front of her, Ningguang and Signora took a hand each while Lisa put her hands on your thighs, they looked at you like they were worshiping you

"We are deeply sorry, my dear" Ningguang started "We know the mistake we have made so pls do forgive us, it was never our intention to leave you out of the decision regarding our relationship" Signora added "We were inconsiderate, we forgot that you must also have a say in this, we should have asked for your opinion and decided base on favor by the four of us" Lisa continued

"It was our Mistake Y/N, do have it in you to forgive us, my dear/tiger/cutie" they said all together, you saw it in their eyes they are honest, they wish to make amends and make everything right

They were anxious to hear a response from you, it was slowly killing them thinking that they would have lost you too just because of their selfishness

"I-" you started but paused thinking about what to say next

'It's too bright!' is what you first thought when you woke up, your arm hurts and your head was pounding like crazy, it felt like you were inside a nightmare

But looking around you were unfamiliar with the place where you were in, it seems like this is a dorm of some sort yet your guard was up

Not knowing who dragged you here fear hits you, the last thing you remembered was the girl named Maki and you cutting you soulmate ribbon

...Right you cut your ribbon, it's her wish yet why does it still hurts to do so? What is because you were looking forward to having a relationship with your soulmate?

Whatever the reason was, you did not want to know it now do anything about it, you just have one thought in your mind 'I have to get out of here!'

With a new found energy despite just Woking up, you stood up and went straight for the door, thankfully it wasn't locked and that you were dressed in some sort, even if it looks like a oversize hoodie and some shorts that barely made it to your knees

Opening the door you saw a hallway that seems like it was plucked out of a movie, it was very old due to the design and the wood coloring, yet it was very clean and well maintained to your eyes

Walking slowly you used the wall for supporting die to your wounds hurting once again after just waking up, even if it hurts you pushed through, you have to get out of there and fast

You did not know what the person who brought you here wanted, nor did you know them and if it was that woman, then it might just break your heart once again

Getting rejected by her, without even getting to know her, then having your ribbon cut, it was all crashing down on you, the reality of now not having a soulmate but also getting rejected hurts

There were voices, you did not know if it was your hazy mind playing tricks on you, but it sounded so familiar

'Who is talking? It's getting a bit noisy, shut up pls' you thought, even though you were feeling weak, you managed to open your eyes when you heard rapid footsteps going to your current location

Some shouts were heard and when you opened your eyes, that is when you have managed to catch a glimpse of that beautiful forest green hair and golden sun eyes

It was mesmerizing, yet your vision was getting blurry, even so you pushed through and stood up to run and get out of here

But it seems like fate has other plans for you today, having only woken up a few minutes ago, your body seems to have denied your request to stand up and run

Your hand that was supporting you slipped and you lost your balance, closing your eyes you braced yourself for the incoming impact of the floor, yet you felt nothing, no pain or whatsoever

"Got ya" that seductive voice brushed behind your ear and your face exploded to a hundred shades of red and your knees suddenly lost its strength, causing you to fall to the floor

Her hand was holding you from your waist, supporting you and letting you down slowly rather than abruptly to the floor

"Are you alright?" her voice was smooth and laced with worry, it then made you think 'Why?'

Looking behind, you saw her with her two companions behind her, those golden eyes were full of worry, yet questions lingered in your mind

'Why are you so worried?' just by looking at her mad you want to believe that this is nothing but a dream

Yet you yourself know that it was too real to be a dream, everything about her was too damn real, and it angered you

"Why do you care?" your question caught her off guard, "Of course I will care! I am your-..."

She really can't say soulmate after the recent events that lead to this, yet why does it feel right to say that?

"Your my what? May I remind you we have nothing between us that you can use as evidence that we are connected in any way possible, so please, stop saying things that wasn't there" your words stung her so much

Yet she knew you were right, after all she was the reason you were now here, without a soulmate because of her

"I know, sorry it just came out" her explanation was disgusting to your ears, yet sweet and tempting at the same time

"What happened? Where am I? And what did you do?" your questions were all that was heard before she smiled at your direction

"You collapsed that's what happened, you are at Jujutsu High School right now and I merely changed your clothes after Ieri-san checked and bandaged your wounds up" she explained

You tried to stand up knmy to slide back down again, you would have fallen on your ass, but luckily her hand wrapped at your waist keeping you steady

You did not deny the help while she assisted you on standing up, making sure you were fine before letting go but not going that far away from you

"Let's get you back to the room, you are still injured and it's best to rest so that you can have enough strength and energy" Panda said before guiding you back to the room where you woke up

Maki didn't have the courage to go with you two but Inumaki stopped her and made sure that she came to the room where you were being led top

Once inside panda helped you get settled in back to the bed, you didn't lay down just sit there looking at your surroundings

"Why did you bring me here?" the question came out more cold than you initially thought "So that you could recover more quickly, with our doctor here we knew she will be able to help you in recovering" Panda answered

"I want to go home" it was the only thing that came out of your mouth "You can't, not right now at least, you're still injured and weak at the moment, you need to stay here and rest till you get better" Panda once again answered his voiced laced with worry for both the you and his friend

But at the same time he could not help but get mad at Maki for telling such things to you and feel pity at what you have experienced, yet he knows why Maki did that

She was scared

Panda knows this all too well, Maki was really glad, yet instead of saying those things to you she chose to distance herself because she was scared

She was scared that if her family knew you will received discrimination and maybe some threats to your life, she doesn't want that to happen

She is scared that if your family found out that she was disowned by her own family the will say things that will hurt you, so she made that decision

He decision to cut ties with you, it might seem like she did not care one bit, but for her it was like her world shattered and was burn to ashes, this was also her dream

Her dream to see and have a life with her soulmate, a life where you two can live happily and more peacefully, a life where she does not need to be scared anymore, a life where she does not need to distance herself from you and end up hurting both of you at the process of it

She wants that life, a life she saw with the people who she either pass by or people she knows, those people who are happy with their soulmate, those people that does not need to be scared and have to hide away

Those were the kinds of people she admired, she holds them in high regards, yet she also envy them, after all she wished she could have that life with you

Yet she knew she ruined it already, just looking at you right now without the red ribbon connecting you to her hurts her

Maybe, she really does not deserve you after all, you were kind, funny and beautiful in her eyes, someone she will always love even if she was the reason she wont be able to do that now

"Maki!" a voice pulled her out of her trance "What?" she asked looking at her friends that was looking back at her "I called you like 3 times already, well that aside" he paused before continuing with a sigh "She wasn't to talk with you alone so Toge and I will be outside, call us if you need us"

Panda left dragging the shorter male with him "Kelp?" he asked his friend "Wait what?" the girl looked back at them before shouting "Get your asses back in here!" "Talk with her! We will wait here!" shouted by Panda before closing the door

'What the hell was he thinking?! That idiot! She hates me! He should have not left me here with her!' she kept saying to herself

"Are you going to look at me now?" you asked, waiting for her to acknowledge you so that you both can talk, even without the ribbon, she was your soulmate, and you want to know her reason, why she pushed you away

She had no choice, she then turned around and looked at you, you then stood up and walked to her, she wanted to run and get out of here, but she knew she had to do this, she had to face you one way or another sooner or later

She didn't even budge, she just stood there while you walked to her, by the time you stopped looking you can clearly see the height difference you both had

"Your quite tall and muscular despite being a female" your voice startled her, she then looked down at you she was 170 cm or 5'7 while you were 160 cm or 5'3

"I wanted to ask something" you started but paused before turning around and walking back to the bed and sitting down, you continued while looking at the window, the rays of the sun reflecting you and in Maki's view it was like an angel had descended on earth

"Why did you not want to have me as your soulmate, Maki-san?" your question made her flatter, she knew it was coming yet she did not have the heart to listen to you ask her that kind of question, because she herself is still questioning her own mind for making that decision

"..." silence overtook the room, it was thick while you were waiting that answer from her "Are you going to talk or not?" you asked her frozen state standing Infront of you

"Please answer me, its like I'm talking with air here, my question isn't that hard Maki-san" you continued "Maki-san please, just answer me!" you raised your voice, hearing this surprised her

"I was scared!" in that moment she revealed her real reason, why she wanted to break the ribbon between the both of you, why she forced herself to say those hurtful words, why she even think those things

It was then silent before it was broken by your words "W-what? What the heck do you mean your scared?!" anger overtook you 'Her scared? Yeah right! This girl is just messing with me that's it!' you thought while looking at her with a glare

"I was scared.... I was scared that if my family found out I was your soulmate, bad things might come your way, I was scared that you would get involved with my family, I was scared that if you found out I am just like you an ordinary student with no ability to see curses without these glasses like Panda or Toge you would leave me" she said, tears build up on her eyes

You were shocked by her revelation "What?" you asked, your voice low "That's right! This soulmate of yours is scared, she is a coward! That is why I never wanted for you to have a connection to me!" she continued her words

"That's why I told those things to you out of my own will, every time I see you with your eyes falling to a set of tears, all I wanted was to just take it all back!" her words was laces with anger, not to you but to herself

"I wanted you far from me, so that you can be safe! So, I am sorry you got stuck with someone like me as your soulmate! But I really like you to the point I am willing to so all this for you to be safe... So please, lets forget this ever happened" her words rung to your ears

You were silent and she took that as your agreement and silently started to walk away from you "Hopefully you can find a more suitable soulmate than me and I am sorry for what I did, but in my opinion it was the best choice for your own safety" before she could leave you talked

"Who are you to tell me that?" she stopped and looked back at you "What?" you looked at her dead in the eye "Who the hell asked you to do that?! I never wanted you to do that!" you shouted back at her "All I ever wanted was to be with my soulmate! My dream! You have no right to tell me that!"

She looked surprised, your words made her heart skip a beat for a moment "What?" you looked at her, she can see anger and passion flickering through your eyes, and when you look at her you could see she was happy, a flickering fear and sadness lingering

"I don't care what your family thinks! I only wanted to have a life with you! I never wanted to cut our ribbon!" you confessed, tears streaming down your eyes that made her more surprise

"H-hey, why are you crying?" she went near the bed and kneels in front of you "What do you want? I will do anything just.... just don't cry please, you look more beautiful smiling and laughing" she commented and wiped the tears falling down your eyes to your cheeks

"You idiot!" you shouted and kept on crying "All I wa-wanted was to meet you! T-to be able to build a c-connection with my s-soulmate!" you told her while tears kept on spilling no matter how much you try to stop them

"All I e-ver wanted was to h-have a happy connection with my s-soulmate! No matter who t-they are or what they do! No matter who hated them or w-ho liked them! I wouldn't even change anything in them!" her eyes widened at your confession

"S-sure you're a jerk for saying those things to me, but no m-atter what happened you were al-ways my soulmate! Nothing will change that, not e-even this stupid soulmate ribbon that co-connects us!" her voice echoed through the room

"No matter how much I try to forget a-about you, get mad at you or just st-raight up curse at you I can't! Because you are always there, in the b-ottom of my heart! There is always that spot in my heart that a-always belonged to you!" This made her more guilty than she already is

Your tears are now full sobs, looking at you she can feel her eyes watering at your confession, her heart aches of guilt and sadness, she never meant this to happen

Out of her guilt and her growing love for you she hugged you so tight, it was full of warmth and love something you have only received from your parents

You hugged back glad that she could finally accept you as her soulmate "I'm so sorry I said those things to you" her voice brushed by your ears "I want to start over with you" is all she said before she cupped you tear stained cheek and look deep into your eyes "That is if you ever want to accept me back? Even tho I'm a jerk?" she asked and all you could do was nod and wrapped your arms around her neck, while her lips found yours

The kiss was full of love, something you always dreamed of, it was definitely a dream come true for you and for your soulmate Maki Zenin

Out of the corner of your eye you could see your broken ribbon from your pinky, the cutted end was glowing and getting longer till you weren't able to see it anymore

Air was needed and you both pulled away from each other, she put her hand on your cheek and looked deep at your eyes with love, yet a glow caught both your attention

"W-what?" the soulmate ribbon you both shared was fixed and connected to each other "It's fixed?" she asked with a shaky voice, afraid this was all but a dream "It is..." you trailed off

Looking back at the ribbon tied to your soulmate made you happy, she was yours again and this time you weren't letting her go, and neither will she do the same

"Looks like you're stuck with me now" her voice rang through your ears making you look at her with a smile "Looks like I am" you answered while tightening your arms on her neck "But I wouldn't have it any other way" you kisses her "Me too"

And you both shared a sweet and passionate kiss, a deal that symbolizes your love for her and hers to you

This is how your story begins in a new chapter this time with a soulmate that you know will love you till end

Something I just happened to read at Wattpad and wanted to make something from my own perspective Maki Zenin x fem! reader

Also an early update for you all

Soulmates, that is something that balances this world, that is in your eyes

But something seems to have been wrong, you don't know what it is or what it was, but you do know something

Your ribbon is at the other end where it was standing

Soulmates can be found by using different kinds of methods that depends on the day you are born, it can either be a string attached to your finger

One similar to what you have now, or you cannot see anything till you locked eyes with your soulmate for the very first time

Even so you still want to find your soulmate whoever they may be

So what happens when you cross path but something else happened

Scarred, that is what you felt at this very moment, powerless against a monster who is about 2 times your own height and covered the only way out of this damned dead end

What happened? You were stupid enough to go out in the middle of the night right after hearing some weird sounds at your neighborhood, thinking it was some prank your friends set up you go out and look for it only to find a pool of blood about four blocks away from your apartment

You should have just turned around, why did you have to go and pursue it like the lunatic that you are

So here you are now in front of this monster, scared for your life, your whole body trembling in fear as you close your eyes waiting for the monster that lifts its hand to crush you to your immediate death

But after a second of not feeling, hearing or sensing anything you opened your eyes focused on the floor that was at your broken foot

There you saw your soulmate ribbon, it was glowing and getting shorter, questions littered your mind that was until you heard a shout in front of you

"Last attack is all yours Maki!" the voice that called out was rough and deep, looking up there you saw a green haired woman jumping from the trashcan toward the monster that was in front of you a moment ago with a staff that has a blade at the other end of it

She amber gold eyes and purple glasses, but what caught your attention the most was string connected to her finger, it was glowing the same color as yours

You followed it only to end up back at your fingertips

"I got you now!" her voice echoed, you look up in time to see her chop off the monsters head and arms before landing perfectly about 8 feet away from where you were "Alright! Another mission success!" she shouted to a white haired boy that has his lower face covered and a panda..... A PANDA?!

Confused you rubbed your eyes telling yourself it must have been a silly dream that was about to end, that none of this happened just now, that you did not just saw and hear a talking panda!

"Good job Maki! You got it!" now you know you were dreaming for sure, there was no way in hell that there is a panda talking in front of you right now

"I know, I know" deciding to give up you look away from them and start to formulate a plan to try and leave their presence without them knowing.

"Now what should we do with the girl?" you froze 'FUCK! WHY NOW?! FUCKING HELL!!!' you shouted to yourself inside your mind

"You two handle that first, I got something to do" the green haired girl said while looking away from them, their body hiding your form for her to find out you were soulmates

"Are you sure Maki? And what are you even going to do?" the talking panda asked the girl you now came to know as Maki

"...My soulmate ribbon" she started but paused, confusing you and the other two people in front of you

"What about it Maki?" the panda asked again, you were now wishing you were dead or not here at the moment

"My soulmate is that girl, that same girl we rescued from that cursed" she said it, she confirmed it right here and now, in front of you and these two other living beings with you and the girl

"Ohh! You must be very happy now! You got the chance to meet your soulmate pretty early!" the panda and the boy started to jump around with smiles on their faces

"That's right she is my soulmate, more reason to refuse her as my soulmate" your body froze at her words 'What?' thoughts circled your mind

'What did she just say?' you kept asking the same question 'She doesn't want me to be her soulmate?' your words were like knives stabbed to your heart

"WHAT?!" the panda shouted at the girl "ARE YOU INSANE MAKI?! HERE SHE IS! YOUR SOULMATE AND YOUR TELLING ME NOW THAT YOU DONT WANT HER AS YOUR SOULMATE?!" the panda kept shouting

This made you uncomfortable due to the stress of not only almost dying and finding your soulmate, but her saying she doesn't accept you was the icing to the cake

Those words made it seem like the world you used to dream about with the person you were destined to be with was nothing more than a mere fantasy you have created in you mind

But why did it hurt so much hearing those words come from her mouth? Was it because she is or was your soulmate? Is it because your dream was ruined? Or is it because you just wanted your fantasy to come true?

With a sudden spur of energy coursing through your body you stood up, even with your injury in your foot

This managed to make them stop arguing with one another focusing their attention to you who was having a hard time with your injury to just stand

"Hey, you shouldn't be standing just yet" the panda said looking at you "If it's about what Maki said, then don't worry! I know that none of it is true and she also wishes to be happy with you!" the panda explained to you

"If you want, I can make her kneel and ask for forgiveness from you right now? But you have to take it easy" this time the boy said something "Shake! Shake!" yet you didn't have it in you to pay attention to them

Looking forward, there behind them was where your soulmate stands looking at you behind her glasses, her stare was hard at your quivering form

"My decision is final and I won't change it!" she said making you more furious, now with your body fueled by adrenaline and anger you took a step forward before you ran past her with your head down, towards your home

"H-hey! Wait! Wait a minute!" her voice shouted to you, this person was supposed to be your family, yet why did she say such things and suddenly cared? "Stop! You're injured so stop!" her voice echoed while you ran, but you did not flatter one bit and continued to your way home

"I said stop dammit!!!" looking back you saw her chasing you, fear struck you at the thought of getting caught, so you ran and ran and ran some more with only one thought running through your mind

'I mustn't let her capture me! I must get away from her!' you repeated this in your mind while you ran, your heart shattering to millions of peice, you then saw your apartment building a few more blocks away from where you were

"Stop already!" Maki shouted while chasing after you, she was close, very close to catching you

'I must get her!' she thought while chasing you with the other two behind her "Inumaki!" she shouted turning to see her companions getting ready to get the girl too

Looking forward once again she skidded to a stop surprising her two companions that was behind her

"Maki, what happened? Why did you stop???" the panda questioned his companion, but she was merely silent looking at the wall in front of her

With a deep breath she inhaled before speaking once more to her two partners

"We no rather I lost her, I can't track her now, she must have turned somewhere when I wasn't looking" she said before starting to walk back and find you

"Let's go" she said only to be met with her companions silence, looking back she saw that they didn't even follow her "What are you two doing? We have to go and find her" she was starting to get irritated

"Maki, why did you say that to her?" Maki was taken by surprise, the panda asked worried laced with its voice 'Panda must be talking about why I want to refuse her as my soulmate then' she thought

"I just don't have the energy to take care of someone like her, spoiled and inconsiderate" she voiced out her reason "That is why I want to refuse her as my soulmate" she then added before turning to leave

"If so, why chase after her again? I am pretty sure we can take care of her just fine, so why are you still here looking for her if you refuse her as your soulmate?" Panda asked once more, only to be met with Maki's silence

'Why did I chase her?' she asked herself before walking away to continue her search making her companions follow her silently

After looking for hours they were not able to spot you, trying to give the apartment buildings a quick look one stood out in Maki's eyes the most

"This way she's over here" she said making the other two confused "How are you so sure? There could be a chance that she isn't there" Panda voiced out, concern laced his voice for the girl they were searching

"My ribbon is glowing more to this specific direction and the closer we get the shorter it gets too" she replied making the panda nod and continued their walk

Arriving at the 4th floor of the building they stop in front of a door with a room number saying '403' and a little welcome sign below it

It was lucky that no one was downstairs to see the panda when they went up otherwise they would have been caught

Knocking on the door Maki suddenly stopped, it confused the other two of her actions "Why did you stop Maki?" Panda asked her

"...She's crying..." Maki was confused 'Why are you crying in there? Did someone made you cry?' she asked herself '...Did I make you cry?' putting the pieces together sh now knows what your reason is

Ignoring all the policy or respect she took hold of the handle and forced the door open to see you crying at your couch seated at the floor still wearing the same clothes when they saw you and a messy bandaged foot almost covered in red with all the blood

It hurts her heart to see you cry, slowly she saw you look at the door, your eyes were puffy and red, sniffles were heard and tear stains on your cheek

'Did I cause this?' she asked herself while looking at your form, from head to toe, her heart was breaking but why?

"W-what are you doing here?!" your voice was laced with fear and sadness 'Are you scared of me?' she asked herself 'Of course you are I am the reason you are crying right now, but looking at you now, why does it feel like my heart is breaking?' her questions flooded her mind

"We came looking for you, you were hurt so we came here" she said while looking at you "If you came here just because you wanted me to cut the soulmate ribbon then fine!" your shout surprised not only her but the other two as well, before they decided to leave this one to Maki and went away from the door

Standing up you grab a pair of scissors and try to cut the red thread, Maki was surprised "Hey stop!" her voice fell on deaf ears before a piercing pain hit her chest 'What is happening?' she asked herself once more

Looking up she saw you standing looking at her with the broken red thread that connects to her, tears fell from Maki's eyes just looking at it "There done, now leave!" your shout fell from deaf ears

'Did I hurt her this much? Is this what she felt?' Maki was confused and found the floor below your feet more interesting, that is before she saw blood fall

Looking at you once again, your eyes were dull, almost like you were dead, tears fell from your eyes and blood was oozing from your mouth to the floor

She spring forward and caught you in time before you fell forward and hurt yourself more "Hey! Wake up!" Her shout attracted her companions who decided to not step in, but hearing the fear in her voice they look at the room and saw Maki holding your limp body close

"Maki?! I will call Gojo to take us back! Inumaki go and try helping her!" Panda ordered the other boy before picking up his phone and dialing Gojo

"Hello?" a overly excited voice answered on the other end "Gojo! Come pick us up hurry!" the white haired man did not waste anymore time before teleporting to them

"What happened?" he asked them "I don't know but Maki suddenly shouted and this happened" Panda tried to explain with his own limited knowledge of what happened

"Alright let's get you all out of here" the man said before teleporting away with the other four people with him, but Maki only focused on you while holding the other end of her string with tears streaming down her eyes

'I have to fix this' she said to herself 'I will fix this! I shouldn't have said those things to her!' with a brand new determination Maki hold your form close before whispering in your ears

"I will fix this and I will apologize, so wake up soon, please" her voice quivered but still Heald a silent promise to you
