Future development:
Sustainable development is the common target of human beings. This project is sustainable without compromising ability of the future generations by reusing the materials sourced from the site and that will be transition to complete reliance on solar renewable energy. With low set up cost and energy footprint, the project would definitely attract and encourage multiple visits to the site. It is a win-win idea that could be considered as a long term project and could endure significantly.
Northshore:
For further development, I would suggest to cooperate with the local artists, inviting them to design and create different sculptures placed at the site. Our project aims to provide a place for relaxation and support mindfulness. Sculptures that are similar to the installation “Jem” located at South Bank, are created to attract more visitors and users. “Jem” is an all-ages interactive play sculpture created for community engagement and enjoyment that provide a place for relaxation where visitors and users could lie on the sculpture to take rest. Hope cooperating with local artists to add more sculptures could enrich the visitor’s experiences in Northshore by introducing them to new ways of interacting in public space.
Somewhere in Brisbane:
South Bank is Brisbane’s premier lifestyle and cultural destination, that is located on the southern banks of the Brisbane River. There is an iconic “Brisbane” sign at South Bank Parklands. It is a sculpture used for playful photo opportunities during both day and night. I think it is possible to merge our project concept with the sculpture sign. Covering the sign sculpture with tactile sensors, unique soundscapes that are taken from South Bank or Brisbane would be activated when the visitors touch those sensors. QR would also be printed on each wording signs and visitors could easily access to the specific webpage that provides information about Brisbane and South Bank history, as well as what visitors could do in South Bank and the audio clip in the soundscapes. Visitors could also be able to upload their own sounds to the webpage and hear their uploaded sounds by touching the tactile sensors. By merging our concept with the sign, it would definitely attract more visitors to come and play.

Personal Reflection:
I was so glad that my group mates chose my idea, and my role was to introduce my concept clearly and what I expected in the beginning. It was great to have the workshop that taught us how to use Sketchup for making the prototype which could clearly show our project to the client in a professional way. I was the one who made the prototype. I found it was hard to use as I was not good at drawing and it was my first time to apply the technique. I was afraid that our target audiences would not understand but fortunately my group mates well presented our concept in a distinct way. The audiences were captivated and appreciated our project concept much. I found that the technique of using Sketchup was crucial and helpful for my future development, as it helped me show the prototype concept to client easily and clearly and that reduced the risk of client’s confusion of my ideas. Team spirit and division of labor are crucial in creating the project. I am not a good graphic designer, but my group mate is, her visual design of our webpage is clear and fascinating that catches the interest of our audiences. Besides graphical design, I am glad that our group has a professional speaker who can transmit our concept distinctly to our client. It would definitely be defeated if we could not direct our concept clearly leading to the misunderstanding of our project. After having this real industrial enterprise project, I think I need to improve my delivering and speaking skills to be a professional speaker as it would be advantageous to present the project to client confidently and able to answer all the questions raised by the client.

Evaluation:
The project is highly responsive to the site and the client brief. Queensland Government seeks to transform Northshore into a vibrant creative precinct and lifestyle destination with a vision to create a true Brisbane icon. Our project, Resonature aims to achieve the client’s desire for improving the brand awareness of Northshore. Two of the pillars have integrated into the concept of our project include Embedded Wellbeing: promotes active and passive wellbeing; and Enriched Life: supports personal and professional goals. By utilising the advantage of the waterfront location that offers a strong wellbeing proposition to the visitors and users, Resonature builds on existing healthy living values of Brisbane locals and that also attracts knowledge seekers, supports mindfulness and encourages connections. It supports mindfulness and provides relaxation to those who live and work within the precinct, and those who choose to visit by presenting a playful and inclusive personality.
On the other hand, projects that are in sync with high sustainability could increase the awareness of the community; and our client Northshore is committed to looking after the environment, thus, protecting and managing the natural systems, habitats and biodiversity are crucial in our project. Therefore, our project makes prudent use of the resources from the surroundings which are easily installed and dismantled, would not destroy the habitats and biodiversity of the place.
Besides being sustainable, another important aspect of diversity is to ensure the economic and social equality, it is crucial that people of different backgrounds, genders and socioeconomic statuses, have equal opportunity to flourish (Gray, 2019). Our project is planned to locate in public area near the riverside and waterfront access where could serve multiple communities, and well access and linkages are much more than simply physical proximity (Knapp, 2007).
However, there are areas for improvement in the project. It could be predicted that more visitors and users visiting the site during weekends and night time because of the Eat Street nearby and the workers are only free on weekends or off work. Our project only focuses on how to attract more visitors and customers flow on weekdays but we do not consider about the lighting system and the users’ experience during the night time. It could be improved by adding some changeable coloured up LED lightings on the objects and the site. That could make a stunning focal point against the spot of Eat Street nearby.

Prototype Making Process 3:
Besides the prototype video, our group designed our webpage that was linked with the QR code printed on the objects. We used Marvel App to create and demonstrate the user’s experience in our presentation. We encouraged our audiences to attach the QR code that was shown in the presentation slide and try to use our webpage.

Prototype Making Process 2:
We showed our first draft during the tutorial in week 8, and we were recommended to add music and sounds to the prototype to show that soundscapes would be activated when visitors and users touched the sensors by using a webpage named “Thinklink”. Thinklink is a digital tool that could turn videos or images into an interactive graphic: creating hot spots on the specific parts of the video and turning the video into a multimedia launcher of record audio. By using the tool of Thinklink, the prototype becomes more informative and attractive to catch the eye sight and interest of our clients.

Prototype Making Process 1:
In workshop 2, we learnt how to edit videos by using iMovie and we had tried to plan an overview of the shots and a shot list that we needed to include in the prototype video to show the user experience of our installation. We made a snippet to show our basic ideas of the prototype video. After having the final workshop, which was about how to use Sketchup for making the prototype of the project, our group chose to use Sketchup to make the prototype.

Inspiration?
In order to have further engagement and interaction with the visitors and users, we plan to have a digital footprint that includes QR codes on each object. They are easily accessible through smartphones and allow visitors and users to connect our specific webpage that is designed by our group mates. The webpage would have the information about the Northshore history and how we collect the soundscapes. This digital footprint webpage concept is inspired by the Honysuckle Placemaking’s mobile application, “Hidden Honysuckle” that is launched to encourage the visitors and users to know more about the past of Honeysuckle; and Wild Nature’s Nature Sound Map project, which is creative and interactive way of exploring the natural sounds. The formers of Makey Makey once said that everyone is creative, inventive and imaginative. Everyone could create the future and change the world. It means that visitors and users could also be the creators. Thus, besides understanding more about the site, visitors and users have the chance to involve in the installation that they are able to upload their own sounds to our webpage, which would then allow them to touch the tactile sensors on the physical objects and hear their uploaded sounds played in a collaborative sound stream. Everyone could be the sound content creator of the installation.

Inspiration?
Besides the soundscapes, to be more specific, we utilise the existing objects of the site such as the shipping container, wharf timber and buoys, and cover them all with tactile sensors. This concept is inspired by Makey Makey, it is an invention kit that turns everyday objects into touchpads and combines them with the internet that makes sound. Thus, we decide to make the site objects into touchpads and transmit soundscapes.

How we form our idea? Inspiration?
The original concept, piano runway is inspired by the piano musical stairs adopted in foreign countries that they transform the stairs into an interactive musical instrument, just like a piece of an interactive art. Placemaking is an urban planning and economic development theory to create a sense of identity, community and connection between people and a place (Gray, 2019). To engage with the communities, making art is one of the methods that gives a platform for the members of the community and the organisation to express creation and aspirations (Australia Council for the Arts, n.d.). Piano runway is an interactive art exhibit that allows people to involve in the project. However, it is not responsive to the site and should create a sense of identity of the place. Therefore, we transform our original concept to Resonature. Soundscapes are elements of the urban environment with assistance from an aural as well as a visual aspect in order to facilitate the identity of a place (Wolfe, n.d.). According to Krause (2012), soundscapes have three distinct components – geophony, biophony and authropophony, that all are nature’s rhythms collected from the site such as water rippling sound from the Brisbane River (geophony), chorus of Australian Magpies (biophony) and random signals generated by the automobiles passed by (authropophony). When the visitors and users touch the sensors, the unique soundscapes would be activated and transmitted, which is interactive and could facilitate the identity and connection between people and the site.

Our project, Resonature is an interactive installation that has been transformed from the concept of  Piano Runway. To be more specific, the existing objects from the site, such as buoys, wharf timber and shipping containers are fully utilised and they would be covered with tactile sensors. When the visitors and users touch the sensors, some unique remixed soundscapes that are taken from the site, would be activated and transmitted. The light touch strategy is adopted and the project could be implemented as early as autumn-winter 2020. It would complement the development plan of Northshore as it is easily adaptable to the changing site.

Measurements of success:
The project should tie to strategic objectives, be deliverable in the next five years and within the budget given, reflect and align with the Northshore’s vision. Maintaining updated data is also crucial as it is the key to a source of feedback on the group efforts and an early warning for the problems.
The expected impact:
The piano runway would attract more visitors and customers flow on weekdays, as most of the people at present probably visit Northshore on weekends because of the Eat Street nearby. Also, the purpose of the piano runway is to foster more people to do exercise, to have a better life balance.
Potential for enduring significantly?
As the whole project are sustainable without compromising the ability of future generations by using the solar renewable energy, it could be considered as a long term project that could endure significantly.

List of ideal skills required from a team:
Group decision making skill
Good decision making is crucial to ensure all the decisions are right and move things forward. Working on the project, we all have to make decisions all the time. It might be hard for a group to make a decision, as there are different opinions and ideas in a group of people. Seeking for professionals’ recommendations and doing more research could make decision easier.
Organising and planning skills
To ensure the project is on schedule and well developed, being organised is essential to getting tasks done, making the whole process move smoothly and implement by the deadline.
Installing and maintenance skills
Professional knowledge of installing and maintaining the piano keys and solar panels are required.
Communication skill
Good communication skill is important to ensure the group liaise well, and there are no misunderstandings or unexpressed difficulties among group members.
List of own skills and interests:
Marketing skill
Promoting a project or an idea encompasses many marketing skills including analysing the target audiences and defining their perceptions of the project, so as to engage with the community.
Researching skill
Researching skill is the ability to search, collect, analyse and evaluate the information that are useful and relevant to the project. It is important to identify the target audiences’ needs and follow up with the trend.

Target Audiences
Teenagers and young families
Teenagers and young families are the target audiences of the project. As most of them are active and usually share their own daily life experience in the social media. Their posts would have influence on others and then become the crucial platforms to promote the project.
Workers and Local residents
The concept of piano runway is to develop the interest of jogging and doing exercises leading to a better life balance, as the workers normally spend most of their time on work and stay late in their offices. It is also one of the interesting sporting spots for the local residents to enjoy and relax.
