I've been following your page for awhile and I was wondering, since you seem to have the magic well of brian may content 😅, if you had this picture without cropping or with better quality (it appears in the new my fairy king video). tysm if you answer 🫶

I would say that this is the best you are going to get quality-wise because early 70s photos are like that. It's that classic rock HD :D

Looking at what he's wearing (that's his black Zandra Rhodes tunic and the Indian/southeast Asian necklace that Bri has said possibly came from Freddie and Roger's clothes stall), this is from 73-74. This tunic starts to appear on stage in 73 and he definitely wore it from Nov. 73 onwards quite often for gigs and photoshoots. From May 74 onwards (based on the gig photos available) he started to favour the famous white angelwing tunic, also by Zandra Rhodes.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find this very shot, but there are others of this same getup (photos via queenlive.ca):

Maybe someone else here has better luck with the photo?

currently hoping to jump back into the queen/freddie fandom, last time I was here was 2018 era and all of my mutuals have since moved on. do you have any active blog recs?
