i cant believe its one piece of all anime that gets to break the live action adaptation curse. this is so funny. the most unadaptationable anime is the one that. fucking . makes it. my face hurts from laughing and smiling too much. everyone did their damn thing. whatever criticism we lob at this thing doesn't fucking matter anymore. people dont get it. but i do. the goal of a live action adaptation, first and foremost, is to make me, specifically, fall in love with the story and characters all over again. and i did.

My heart aches omg so in the movie this break up scene was shown from Gojo's point of view which is why the overall atmosphere was very dark there. In today's episode this scene was shown how it actually took place; it was a sunny and bright day. But Gojo remembers it very gloomily. Also, in the episode we can the faces of the bystanders but in the movie we couldn't. This shows how for Gojo absolutely nothing mattered except Geto. He couldn't even comprehend anything else in that moment besides him.
Mappa did an incredible job showing this scene in two ways. It adds so much more depth to the characters and makes it even more sad.

in the middle of the night anything could have made that strange noise for which your eyes snapped open. a branch scratching at the window because of the wind, thunder in the distance, a sign that the storm was finally moving away or simply your subconscious after the horror movie marathon with your friends.
your mind is still clouded with sleep when you hear that noise again. this time you are sure you heard it. and as you try to calm your breathing you hear it again. something scratching on the wood. something coming from inside your room.
you scan the room for a possible answer. your breath becomes heavier making the atmosphere more eerie in the room. you know you aren’t alone.
“oh you poor thing” a condescending voice echoes from the foot of the bed, “i didn’t mean to scare you.” you swallow the lump in your throat when you notice two blue eyes staring at you in the dark.
the strange presence makes you wince as he moves across the bed, toward you. your body begins to shake but at the same time unable to move.
“it’s all right,” he laughs, approaching you slowly, as you would a lost animal, “i’m not gonna hurt you.” as he gets closer you can make out the details of his face. soft features, plump lips, and eyes of a bright vibrant blue color. he is slender and, despite being literally on all fours on your bed, tall.
the fear you had swallowed quickly returns as he pins you to the bed. his hands, definitely larger than human hands, rest on either side of your head and his body straddles your hips. “such a pretty angel,” he hums.
