Growing up in a Spanish-speaking household, we always watched @uninoticias. I remember watching @jorgeramosnews in the evening news & @primerimpacto after school. I'm blown away that @borderperspective was just featured by the largest Hispanic TV network in the U.S. #borderstories

The Mexico/United States border fence is aimed at preventing illegal crossings from Mexico into the United States. The barrier is not one continuous structure, but a grouping of relatively physical walls, secured in between with a "virtual fence" which includes a system of sensors and cameras monitored by the Border Patrol. The current border fence is about 21 feet tall and 6 feet deep in the ground, cemented in a 3-foot wide trench. #borderstories

Practicing along the border, isn't unusual for this little league team, most of the players have grown accustom to living in a region where they are divided by a physical border but connected by their culture and love for baseball. #borderstories | Check out @borderperspective for the full story. Happy International Women's day to the strongest women I know, my mom. She's an immigrant to this country. It was very hard for her to get accustomed to life in the US, but through the years, she's managed to acclimate as best as possible without compromising her roots. She sets the bar very high. As her son, I'd like to think that whatever strength and passion I have is because of her, but there's not a day that goes by where she doesn't reminds me about the importance of my faith & my walk with God. For now here's our tentative itinerary: February 25 - Fly into McAllen, Texas February 26 - Explore stories of the Rio Grande Valley, TX February 27 - Laredo, Piedras Negras & Del Rio, Texas February 28 - Explore stories of El Paso, Texas March 1 - Agua Prieta & Nogales, Arizona March 2 - Nogales, Arizona & the surrounding areas March 3 - Yuma, Arizona & Tecate, California March 4 - Explore stories in Tijuana, B.C. and San Diego, CA border March 5 - Fly Home We want to spend as much time possible with the people we meet on our journey and hear their stories.
