“There are lots of people cooler than Yongguk, but you are the one and only Yongguk.” was something that stuck in my memory. My grandfather actually said this to me. — Bang Yongguk.

The nerves in his body shook him, jumping at the small tone and immediately heat rushed to his cheeks as he hurriedly tried to finish what he was doing but before much longer she was next to him and popped a piece of fruit into her mouth. Damn it, there goes that. His attempts at being inconspicuous had failed miserably. Now he had to think of something better to say than he just found these lying about, throwing his head up quickly and greeting her with a smile. "Annyeong, yeon!" clearing his throat before dropping his hands to his sides and looking around trying to pull off something smooth but.. Failing.
"I was looking around for some food for ya, and found some left overs in the fridge that didnt seemed touched." he paused, using his thumb to point behind him. "Assuming you're hungry like you always are. I heated some food up for you. And then..." his eyes dropped to the fruit. "I found these and was going to cut them up for your convenience." shrugging it off and looking away for a moment.
Finally bringing his attention to the bag on the counter. "Yah - whats that?" tilting his head - he was going to feel like a fool if he just offered to give up his lunch only for her to bring her own. A small frown weighed his lips down as he started to pick up his mess, throwing the apple core away and placing the slices in front of her. "You can always come back here whenever - you know"

His eyes were locked onto this friend whom got up, it didn't take a telekinetic mutation to know what he was up too. With that realization he threw his head back against the cheap seat and pinched the bridge of his nose for a moment, before sitting himself up. Shaking himself a bit to get himself together and prepared for what was about to happen, two sets of eyes locked on him for just a second, and he gave a very bland wave in their direction.
Needing to loosen the fuck up and not take it so seriously, he didn't want to be the reason the night went stale so he had to approach him he greeted her with a smile. Eyes giving her a good sizing up before her voice went in one ear and out the other. "Yongguk." he spoke with a false sense of enthusiasm before he let his smile spread from ear to ear, the facade she was giving was painful but it was all part of the job.
Tilting his head to the side, with an amused look on his features - he allowed his tongue to travel along his lower lip before forcing a small chuckle. "Do your worst." he challenged, full intent of giving a positive response, if she deserved it. But if her bang wasn't worth his buck then she would leave him empty handed, it was good his friend was the one who paid for it instead of him.
'Ivy' was a very good looking girl, the way her body moved in a languid motion against the rhythm of the music when she was beckoned out from the confines of.. the dressing room or makeup room - where ever strippers came from before they performed in front of the dogs.  She had to have some type of strength to be able to even perform in front of strangers, especially without having any idea what they were capable of when she - or any of the others pulled some of them into a room alone.

“Hey no sweat, old man. Glad to be here. ” Waving his hand in a calm attitude as he tried to clear his head, this was a lot bigger than a petty dislike for another person. This was his blood sweat and tears possibly being taken away from him and to some extent he needed to be professional, even if the man in front of him was in a nice and fancy suite while Yongguk himself was in jeans and a black wife beater. Only imagining the thoughts that went through everyone’s mind when they saw him barging in like he was on a life or death mission, but to Yongguk it basically was.
Throwing himself down into the seat before the desk, throwing his legs up – one crossed over the other on the nice desk. Resting his hands behind his back to keep his head propped, a wide smile spread across his lips. Yongguk obviously wasn’t the best at being professional, but it was his bar – how he treated the man behind the desk wasn’t what decided if he would lose it or not.
“Yeah, yeah. I know who you are.” Nodding as his eyes wandered around the room, it was very, very neat – like neat to the point that if one thing was out of place you would notice it like an elephant in the room. Biting his lip, he felt that he was very out of place – being use to the daily chaos that came with running a bar. There was always something to clean, Yongguk imagination played out a scenario where this male stepped into his bar and freaked purely because of the disorganization. Yongguk had a few traits of his own that he took pride in – and one of them was reading people, he liked to think he was capable of figuring a person out purely by how they acted and kept the surroundings around them.
Yongguk was wild, and at times unpredictable – his setting and way of life made this very clear. Looking at how Seunghyun kept his office – his appearance, Yongguk could only assume a thing or two about him and bet money that he was right. “Ah – is that what those papers are that kept filling up my mail box? Aish.” Shaking his head for a moment before letting out a chuckle. “Makes sense why some random stranger came up to my door today.” Shrugging with a false dumbfounded look on his face. “She was nice” he lied, not even speaking a word to her before slamming the door in her face. Though he was fully aware of what the man was talking about, he didn’t seem to really want to show that it truly did upset him.
I just need to figure out how to keep my business.
Thinking to himself with a slight panic in his nerves, before a smirk lingered on his lips before licking them to maintain moisture – he was truly befuddled on how he was supposed go about this. He knew how these things worked, Seunghyun was the middle man to a larger company trying to take his means of living underneath his feet. And yet Yongguk was directing all his frustration towards the CEO because there was no one else who was shoving documents in his mail box and sending bodies over to get his attention. But now here he was, sitting in the office of the man who had been causing him stress over the past month or so – and he was like a dog who was chasing a car. He caught it and didn’t know what to do with it.
“Anyway” clicking his tongue, before pulling his feet from the desk and sitting up for just a second before sitting more forward, resting his arms on his knees – his kind expressions had twisted into something a bit more serious. “Is there I away I can get out of this? I don’t want to sell or relocate. And I’m not going too.” A firm statement that he would hope came off loud and clear to the fancy shmancy CEO. He did his best to not let the irritation linger in the way he spoke, he didn’t want the man before him to grasp onto that and play with it.
Yongguk was always a man with a short temper and he didn’t feel life giving the government another reason why he needed to be watched over, so he needed to be on his best behavior before this man. “And no amount of money is going to make me change my mind.” He rolled his eyes in a more dramatic way before leaning back in his seat – in a way to make himself comfortable even though truly he was nervous about the outcome of this conversation. The thought of walking out of those doors with nothing but a check left an unsettling feeling in his stomach – most people would be thrilled with this type of offer but there was history and memories that he clung to with the specific location. Especially since it was his, it wasn’t passed down to him or given to him for free. He worked for it, building it from the bottom up.
It was an abandoned dumb before he got his hands on it – he made it what it was from the ground up. And now it was a safe haven for people just like him and humans if they dared to step foot into such dangerous territory. Even if standalones threw their nose into his bar, he was untouchable since he followed the rules to the best of his ability.
The answer was going to be no, no matter what Seunghyun threw at him.

Scrunching his nose towards her comment about being in pain, he let out a sigh. He would be lying it he said he didn't care that she was constantly complaining to him about her aches, some days it was her neck - or her back. It made him wonder what the hell she was sleeping on to always be that way, was she sleeping on a damn rock? The phone vibrated once more in his hand and read the words that displayed themselves in a tiny box across his screen. I'll be there soon. At that point he stopped replying since he didn't see the point of saying anything else - even if he wanted too. But the thought occurred to him just then, that he had no food for her since he was at work. Nothing he could whip up on the spot and that put him in the tiniest of panics.
Yeonsang was always hungry and he wanted to make sure he had something for her, the solution that came to mind was the food he had for himself stored in the fridge for himself for later that day. Without question he immediately pulled it out - hoping she didn't mind that it was more on the healthy side. Always packing two apples, and two subs for himself. There was water in the fridge as well too, and he figured this would be nice, she didn't have to know it was his lunch and what she didn't know wouldn't hurt her.
Pulling out the contents and getting them prepared, slicing the apples quickly and warming up the sandwiches. It was very good he was alone, because if anyone saw him acting this way then they would think he was a different person. Yongguk wasn't one to express his affections much, true affections anyway. He could flirt and schmooze his ass off but when it came to true and genuine feelings, his lips were sealed shut and stitched closed for good measure. He avoided confessions and real feelings like the plague so he was prepared to play this gesture off as if it was nothing.
Yongguk had found himself looking at the time and comparing it to the time she had sent her last text, putting pressure on himself to make sure it was all done before she got there and saw him be this way. He'd never hear the end of it if she knew, the thought of what she would say and how she reacted was something that made him laugh. Yeonsang was different in his mind and not your typical girl - she was just about everything he dictated as amazing in his mind - fitting his standards above and beyond. Hell, he was one cocky son of a bitch and even he looked at her as if she was too good for him.

Sitting in his seat he had to question how he got in this situation, how he had allowed his friends to persuade him to be in a strip club. It wasn't the first time he had been in one nor would it be his last - but each and every time he stepped a foot inside of these places he couldn't help but have a somewhat adverse attitude towards it. Perhaps he was ignorant to the reasoning behind women chose this life style, unaware of the type of money they made but you could make just as much somewhere else with a more respectable title. Yongguk was only here due to peer pressure from his friends; you've been working too much. Loosen up a bit. Have some fun.
The statements didn't make too much sense to him since he loved his job, and his co-worker -- coworkers. Maybe his distaste for the situation stemmed off from the fact that there was no attention being directed towards him, maybe because in his mind he felt like he was being unfaithful in a relationship that only existed through wishful thinking. Either way - he didn't exactly know how to go about being in such a place, though he was sure if the women in his mind was with him - she would be having one hell of a time, and if anything disappointed in him for sitting in the chair with a displeased look on his face.
"Yah, Yongguk." The low voice called out to him - shaking his head to dispel his thoughts a smile swept over his lips and he raised his brows in question. His friend had given a smirk that promised some type of devilish intent, before looking towards where the male was pointing. "How about her? Should i call her over?" his eyes rose towards the women mentioned, a blonde with a rather fit figure. Shamelessly working the pole with a somewhat dull expression, it made him chuckle before he shrugged his shoulders lazily. "Ah - why not?" Yongguk hummed, before his friend showed a teeth that exposed all of his teeth and pushed himself up from the seat and his wallet already out and opened.
The friend had approached the blonde, using his hand to beckon her from her act to request his favor. As she came towards him he was too excited for her to wait to get all the way there. "I have a tricky one for you." He explained pointing towards the mutant sitting in the chair with his nose in his phone. "You think you can loosen my friend up and show him a thing or two about having fun? He needs to really loosen up, if you know what i mean, heh." he snorted before hastily shoving the grumbled up 100$ in her sweaty palms.

"Okay" he shrugged when she denied him the knowledge to her smile. Forgetting it even happened, because it was that simple. Yongguk was never the one to chase or pull teeth with people, he asked once - and then let it go, he cared until he was told it was nothing, and then he stopped caring. It was a gift for him, and annoying for other people.
Though he dismissed the question it didnt break his eyes from observing her reactions, he was very good at it after a couple years - studying how to get under peoples skin almost. The twitch of her brow, the body language, the tone of her voice - all of it. Taken back by her response, he didnt have one for her. But it made him reconsider providing her more alcohol, or maybe he would give her a less strong drinks. He didnt have to serve her after all - especially if he didnt want her to regret it in the morning.
"And you're going to depend on alcohol for that? Thats very unlike you Chae" Yongguk thought very highly of himself, he knew she was in a bad mood since that was why she was there to begin with, and he knew that she wasnt very thrilled he was her conversation partner. What he wasnt 100% on what exactly he did to make it worse for her besides providing her something to drown out her issues.
Yongguk couldnt recollect a time when he had seen her so eager to suck down alcohol, clearing his throat since her drink was already half way gone. Hesitant to make her another one, instead he reached down into one of the smaller fridges and pulled out a water bottle. Placing it next to her drink before giving her a smile. "Pace yourself" tapping the counter top with his fingers and turning his back to her as he searched for something.
"I have some food here somewhere..." Working in a bar, you learned a thing or two about avoiding hangovers, regrets, and throwing up. Yongguk couldn't even remember the last time he had a hangover, hands on his hips as he searched, he furrowed his brows when he couldn't find it right away.
「 What Separates Me From You 」
God this drink was noticeably stronger than the last. A few more of these and she’d be a mess…perfect. She knew he’d keep asking her more questions and the more she drank, the more honest and straightforward her answers will become but he wasn’t someone who cared for that and she knew that so hopefully he was being as careful with his words as she was with hers.

Reading her expressions he had them become perplexed, she looked angry and Yongguk couldn't really put a finger on why. Had his choice to keep quiet struck a nerve in that cold heart of hers? If Yongguk were to be honest with himself, he held no feelings for her anymore - somewhat indifferent to actions towards her. She had her chance to show him he cared, and she was a day late and a dollar short to get a reaction out of him.
Of course there would always be fond memories of the times where he would say he cared about her in a romantic way, but looking at her now he couldn't remember why he looked at her that way. There were a lot of rumors that passed through the streets about him, about how he was towards women. Some were true - most were true but always misunderstood and looked at in a poor way. Looks got his attention, but personality was what pulled him in, she had one - somewhere. Hiding beneath a sheet of ice, forever curious to see what she is like if she just let go for at least an hour.
They were two different people though, always had been and always will be. Tilting his head for a moment. "What are you smiling about?" he couldn't help but wonder, especially so randomly and since she looked so annoyed less than a couple seconds ago. She didn't seem to be paying attention to him much, in her own little world thinking about god knows what.
Pretending to raise his own glass as she did her own, It didn't click until now - the question in his head that he had been meaning to ask. "Why are you here?" doing his absolute best to not sound rude, she didnt have to answer for him to know - he just wanted to see if she would lie to him or not. People either drank to have fun, or drank to forget. "Something you're trying to feel numb too, Chae?" something he hadnt called her in ages, but it slipped passed his lips comfortably.
「 What Separates Me From You 」
He started to speak again but she was lost in her thoughts and missed the first part of what he said then he pointed to her drink. “Ah.” She looked up at him. Was he trying to get her drunk? She exhaled. At this point, she’d welcome that. Things weren’t exactly going her way today. She lifted her cup, “Cheers.”

Sniffling lightly, she sat up once more from the made bed and pushed down the shirt that had risen from the nights rest. Wincing at her sore hip, she moves slim digits through the blue hair as she looked around for the beanie that had fallen off the hair in her slumber, she slowly shuffled her legs into a criss cross position. Normally, she tried to make herself look bigger, so no one would bother her. Some tended to pick at the girl; mutants and humans alike.
A little tone run through the small tunnel, making her eyes turn to look at the beat up black berry. Picking it up, looking at the screen she smiled despite herself at the message before sighing.
[ From: Oppa G ] [ Time : 2:46 pm] [ SMS ] I’d make you dinner any day of the week <3
Typing away, the female couldn’t help but shake her head. Since when did he seem so sentimental? Once more, a growl in her stomach and it made her aware that she needed to get up and moving.
[ From: Oppa G ] [ Time : 2:51 pm] [ SMS ] ㅋㅋㅋ Such a softie
Getting up from the ground, the female stretched her arms above her head before dropping them down and swinging the lanky appendages before slipping the phone in the back pocket of the baggy pants. Grabby the jacket off the ground, she shook it off before slipping it over her shoulders and fixing the collar around her neck. Rolling her shoulders some, the female glanced over by her back and found the beanie.
Letting out a soft sigh, she reached down and pulled the beanie on her head and over the messy blue hair.
Phone vibrating off the bar counter he didn't hesitate to pick it up, eyeing the text for only a second before a small pout weighed down on his lips. Typing away at his cell phone, it was the mid afternoon and the bar was absolutely dead.
[ SMS ] I treat my employees well
[ SMS ] what are you doing right now?

Yongguk was directed into the direction of the office, wasting no time heading in the direction he was told. Paying attention to the layout of where he was walking for future reference if he needed it, the confrontation played out in his head quite a few times and each one never ending all too well. Seunghyun never gave Yongguk the things he wanted, a reaction being the biggest one. Seunghyun did not bat an eye lash for form a single wrinkle when Yongguk ever spoke to him – no emotions displayed on that smug fucking face.
Approaching the door that had his name in bold print, he took it upon himself to just open the door.  By that time he felt more calm, a bit more composed and a little less reckless than what he had planned prior. Having a short temper also meant it burnt out pretty quickly as well, though he wasn't absolutely livid anymore - he was still annoyed.
Rapture was his blood sweat and tears, he would rather put up a fight before he gave up something he had worked so hard for. This person in front of him was taking it upon himself to snatch Yongguks hard word from under his nose, it was a slap in the face to all the effort he had put in. Noting the security that lingered in the door way - Yongguk took it upon himself to close the door with his foot.
Biting back the laugh at the thought of the hot shot CEO calling for back up, as if Yongguk was stupid enough to do such a thing and in such a public place. "Was calling security really necessary?" he scoffed. "You that scared of me?"

“I’ll see it when I believe it.” A smirk pulling in the corner of his lips, shaking his head in disbelief at the thought of her actually doing it. It would certainly be something he would have to see for himself, his teasing was all in good fun as it always was with most of the people he talks to.  Thankful that she was there to give him someone to talk to and pass by the painfully boring hours that lingered, looking at the clock and thirty minutes had already passed in the blink of an eye.
Nodding in agreement to her words, he stopped midway through and looked back up at her giving it a second to make sure that he was hearing correctly.  The smirk pulled wider and he hung his head for a second fiddling with things, she had put herself out there a bit more than he wanted her too – and possibly more than she wanted too. If only it had meant something now, maybe he would bat an eye lash to the remark.
Yongguk had already prepped CL's second drink as she spoke -- pulling her empty glass from in front of her and replaced it with the new one. "I hope you have a high tolerance." Pointing to her drink. "I only made this drink because i know you like tea, but heh. It will knock you on your ass" Choosing to ignore what she said before, it did nothing for him now.
「 What Separates Me From You 」
"You know better than almost anyone, I always do what I want. I guess for whatever reason, keeping in touch with you had slipped my mind but seeing you here now, I realized I had forgotten about you long enough to forget why I needed to.” That was a little much. She displayed vulnerability to him. What he wanted from her so long ago; when it mattered. She wasn’t quite sure why she was spilling all this to him. She owed him.
