i’ve been thinking a lot about the curry song incident and i just like. find it so weird that i’m so desensitized to it at this point. the kpop industry isn’t new to mocking desi people (or mocking any pocs tbh) and while it’s upsetting to see it happen again and again, at the same time as a desi person i feel so numb to it now because it’s such a reoccurring issue. i’m really glad kq put out a statement (most companies don’t even bother to do that), but that’s the bare minimum. i don’t think any of the ateez members would willingly do/say anything with the intent of hurting their fanbase, but ignorance doesn’t mean their actions can’t hurt :/ the whole situation really does suck and i hope they’re allowed to speak up about it individually
