One thing I've noticed about Reader-Insert over the years, is that despite people supposedly 'wanting more Reader x female character' fanfiction... Those fanfictions do not get popular, ever. Not even in the sense of 'its an unpopular character, so of course there is less fans', but even supposed fans of Reader x female character are not devoted enough to...

1: create content

2: support anyone making said content (with likes/commissions/comments/etc)

So to even write such things, you would have to be very passionate as you're writing it for an audience of basically no one...

In my mind, it's cruel then to ask an author who doesn't have that passion to write such content because... What does that other get in return? Nothing. Especially if they're doing it for free.

Also as a side note, literally any 'popular' Reader x female character I've ever seen on AO3 is male "Reader-Insert" (basically a self insert) x female character, is written by cishet men for cishet men.

Well, I have taken some x female character comms in the past, though they were private because the commissioners wanted them to be for them and their friend group... So I will say that there ARE those out there who like fem!reader x fem!characters, but yeah, they're not nearly as plentiful as male character enjoyers.

If you ask me though... You're high-key right, in all the fandoms I've been in, reader x male!character has always been more popular... Considering that it's what spawned Reader-Insert in the first place basically, so it makes sense. Though I HAVE seen male!reader x female!character, just like you said, it's for cishet men to enjoy, clearly. Nothing wrong with that though, good for them.

To me, I just find easier to write for because I'm pansexual with a male reference. (And no, just because I like men more than women doesn't make me less pansexual, unlike what that one anon implied last week). So I do free requests writing about them, and commissions. Women are harder to write for to me, (because I prefer real women), so I charge money.

Personally, I think people calling for more reader x fem!character content need to do what those calling for more wlw fanfictions on AO3 should do: PICK UP A PEN. BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE! 🙂‍↕️

Lions and bigger cats typically aren't scared of water at all, and that's usually something only associated with average house cats because of spray bottle training to teach them to be afraid of water (so they don't go into/get onto things they shouldn't).

Pfft, even he doesn't fully understand why he's suddenly so keen on hunting for you, usually he's able to ignore those desires and continue on like normal, but he can smell slight differences in your scent... And instinctually, even if his brain hasn't realized it yet, he wants to care for his now pregnant partner and make sure you're well fed.

Keep him away from naiad by the way, she's basically a giant fish, right? He may not be able to resist trying to catch her...

As I see it, Marcus probably grooms you a lot at night after all matches are done because he's getting the scent of everyone else off of you! Cat tongues get rid of odors when they clean themselves/others!

Yep, exactly, he needs to get those nasty smells of every other man and woman off of you before he can rest properly... And also rub himself all over so you can smell like him instead.

I'm either thinking Reader as apart of the team that created him (or perhaps a partner of someone from that team?) that he gets attached to because you treat him like an actual person rather than just an AI.

As someone who's a top 100 Composer main, it's not worth it unless you are extremely devoted to him. I rank whenever I can, and it's... genuinely terrible. My mental health has suffered but I'm not willing to give up my badge. I have had multiple S Badge Composers intentionally throw games because I selected him first, all while insulting me and telling me I'll never be as good as them in the prematch chat.

Oh yeah I know the grind, I was C badge for a good long while, I nearly got to B badge but an endless string of nonstop losses, and then maybe getting a tie every ten matches genuinely made me start to chew the inside of my mouth till it bled (out of stress). Then I was like... Wait, this is a video game, I need to calm down.

So I just play for fun, no ranking seriously anymore for me! I choose life, sanity, happiness, and pray for any sort of buff to my boy please.

Fun fact is that I originally started writing it because I had a dream about it, this happens very often... I'll turn dreams I had into fics. Though with some details omitted or added, for story reasons.

I also just like Frederick a lot! I'm devoted to him! I wish I could get his C badge back but... People are too stupid on Rank for me to do that. I need a full team...
