Gavin(a gen z): On a scale of "damn Daniel" to "fre sha vaca do" how are you feeling?
Hank(a millennial): Maybe "Hi! Welcome to Chili's!" but I think "I don't need a degree to be a clothing hanger."
RK900: I speak many languages...this is not one of them.

Ann let out a single, firm nod before inspecting tiny details on the table. 'What will happen after I am fixed?' One message displayed. 'I do not remember who I belong to.'
She inspected what little was left on the identification part of her uniform. All that remained of her owner was the word "clinic". It was vague. There were dozens of clinics around the area even hundreds the farther you got toward the city.

Thunder blared and echoed throughout the Detroit area. Lightning being the only source of illumination, even if for a moment. The rain hadn’t let up, it was a shock that the whole city wasn’t flooded. A small yet bright flicker of light, not unsimilar to a broken animatronic’s eyes came from a dark alley. A bright green. Unnatural.
There were few people walking by, all chosing to ignore it, instead wanting to go home and out of the rain.

About 15 minutes later, Ann arrived to the zoo. She tipped the driver before sending him off and scanning the entrance gates for her new friend. Spotting him, she ran towards him giving a little hop here and there. "Jonas!"
It was impossible to hold in her excitement, her inner child was very excited to see how the zoo had changed. A grin burst onto her face. "Hi! I hope you weren't waiting too long... Are you ready to go in?"

It had been a couple days already and Jonas hadn’t texted back. Ann shrugged and tossed her phone on the couch as she got ready for the day. It was already afternoon but this was morning for her.

Don't go outside? Seemed easy enough. Ann took her first steps to get a feel for how well her legs were operating. She headed towards the door and peeked outward into a small hallway. The androids head filling with thoughts and questions without answers as she walked the halls. Who did she really belong to? Why was she left almost broken completely in the alleyway? Of course, her programmed purpose, she remembered. An android to help those suffering from mental disorders. Being a AL100 model, she was only the first type of those care models so they were still being trialed in smaller clinics.
Carefully exploring each room, inspecting each detail and studying the pictures especially. Eventually she reached the kitchen and found it beautiful. She placed herself in one of the dining chairs and awaited for Jonas to return.

Ann held out her hands in a cupped position to recieve the optical unit before carefully popping it back into place and connecting to it. She projected a trial image on her left hand. The mini projection screen worked, albeit fuzzy and a bit glitchy.
Ann showed Jonas a thank you onto the screen before hopping off the table. She held her hands in front of her in her default style as if awaiting orders. Her memory was a bit off and she couldn't seem to remember why she was damaged other than a scuffle. She didn't even know what they looked like.
Outstretching her hand again, she asked Jonas if there was any order to give to her in return for restoring thirium flow.

The android began a diagnostic check on herself, the repairs were enough to become functional again but she still wasn't in a stable condition. As an older model, she was a bit more fragile than most other androids which became a problem to fix.
She looked up and down with her one eye to get a good look at 'Jonas'. He didn't seem to be harmful or be collecting her parts for scrap. The damaged girl lowered her arms once again to let him finish up his work, she didn't want to shut down again. She uncovered her uniform, tattered but able to still state her model name and given name.
AL100. Ann.

After a few hours of working, the android suddenly jolted and, as if continuing where it left off, held her damaged arms up. It began to speak but only a faint warble left her lips. Scanning her surroundings, she realized that it was no longer the alleyway but a workshop. Lowering her arms to investigate more she became spooked once again seeing a stranger. A stranger looking into her body cavity.
"------" she attempted to say before covering herself up in modestly. She put a hand up to her lips wondering where her voice had gone before looking back at the stranger. "--------?"

On the opposite side of the worn dumpster was a blue, mechanical smelling mess. A discarded android, not uncommon these days, yet a sad case due to the state it was in. Someone had obviously done an number on the poor android before shoving her into the corner. She was barely functioning, missing an optical unit, severe damage to the arms and legs, quite a bit of thirium lost and getting washed down the drain by the rain, even her chest cavity was partially bashed in. It was a miracle she still had power.

'i was thinking about the zoo! all the animals are out since the weathers still ok and its not super hot'. And it wouldn't be a lie if she said she wasn't craving dippin dots. 'i'll meet you there :D'
Without waiting for a reply, Ann began to get ready again dressing in a long cardigan and black fleece leggings. So warm and comfortable. She dropped candy and her wallet into her small purse. The blonde began to wiggle and jump from excitement. Then walked out and called for a cab. This was the first time Ann had socialized in a long time and she was ready to make the most of it.

Ann's smile reflected back at her on her phone. Fiddling with her hoodie string, she texted with her other hand.
'nope! did you want to take my offer of hanging out??' Of course, she already had a few ideas planned out. A nice walk in the park, or through the city, maybe a fun day at the zoo! It had been a while but the zoo is nice around this time of year, they had events for all ages.

The small rumbles of a sleek phone against a soft cushion quickly caught Ann's attention. Spinning around quickly and almost slipping on the rug, she caught herself and snagged her phone in a swift motion. "He actually texted me! What does...it say..."
Her eyes scanned the screen. A simple question, yet no definitive answer.
"How was your day...?" The blonde looked down at herself. She hadn't even gotten ready!
'great! just finishing up some chores', she lied. 'how was yours??'

A tiny nervous chuckle escaped the small lady's nose followed by a small sigh of relief. Poor execution but great result! "Oh! I should probably give you my number-"
Ann shuffled through her junk drawer to find a small scrap to write her number on along with her address. It had been a while since she had someone to go on dates with as the last one had kind of ruined them all. Maybe her life was getting back on track. A smile rose on her face in confidence. She handed the paper to Jonas.
"Just...uh, text me!"

Sirens echo in the distance as Jonas cuts through an alleyway, tugging the sweatshirt he had grabbed haphazardly before fleeing his home. His hands, hidden in the pockets, are clenched into tight fists, nails digging into the red-stained artificial skin. His LED pulses an angry red and he can only hope his hood covers it well enough until he can find somewhere to hide.
He steps out onto a sidewalk and he glances up at the darkening sky shortly before ducking his head and continuing to walk. He narrowly avoids a couple walking out of a bar, only to nearly walk into a homeless man sitting on the ground. The man grumbles a few curse words at him, eyes glaring once he spots the red light illuminating within Jonas’ hood. Before the man can say anything, Jonas is already on the move again, his feet taking him across the damp street towards a small grocery store.

As Ann finished up putting the rest of her unneed groceries away, she turned to Jonas. "So... if you aren't staying for dinner...Would it be too bold to ask if we can have it another time? Or even go hang out...sometime...?" Her voice began trailing off as her nerves returned. There was a cute boy in her house and even though she had just met him, there was something about him that made Ann's heart jump. Maybe attraction? Or more anxiety. The blonde looked to the floor to her feet, hiding the pink dust on her cheeks.

Ann's head perked up and nodded in the direction of the restroom. "Yeah, for sure! It's over there." Setting the weighted brown bag on the counter to finally give her arms rest, she removed her scarf and jacket to hang on the wall hooks.
"I'm about to make a warm stew if you're interested! Since you...went out of your way in the cold night to take me home-"
