The Tiny Me in OSHA-approved Hi-Vis Gear Who lives in my brain and pulls all the levers: Boss, it's the fascism. You're completely gunked up with cortisol due to the fact that your entire daily life is now underscored with a haunting awareness of the rapid erosion of your rights, dignity, and any and all social safety nets, and you're also bearing witness to the most vulnerable people immediately being persecuted. This creates a natural stress response that basically means you're going to continue having memory and organizational problems, as well as emotional imbalances.

i absolutely adored this fic. It has a veela aspect which im not a big fan of, but it was pretty subtly written in the fic. Also Harry's PTSD and problems with eating were very well written. This fic made me laugh and this fic made me cry.

lomonaeeren is one of those authors whose fics i can always appreciate for the plot and the world building and this one does not disappoint in that. it features a harry who has woken up with no memories beyond just after the battle of hogwarts despite it being ten years later. i won’t say more to preserve the mystery, but the direction this went was darkly gripping.

Ancient & Noble Houses by Lomoraaeren

another lomonaeeren fic that has a darker twist on a beloved trope, we have harry who inherits grimmauld place and the sinister traditions of the black family. this fic is brilliantly creepy and a fascinating take on magical houses.

Telling The Bees by @cibeewastaken | M | 31k

this fic is heartbreaking and beautiful in all the best ways. it’s a story of loss and grief but so so filled with love. scorpius is a delight in this one and we feel draco’s loss so strongly, but it certainly lives up to the angst with a happy ending tag.

Blessed Are The Lambs by @cannibalschism | M | 50k

this fic,,, oh my god this fic,,, i think being a mcr fan means vampires + priests are just a Thing for me and This Fic has it all. and the relationship between religion and the wizarding world is so interesting and explored to a depth i’d never read before. brilliant!

In The Bleak Midwinter by @the-fools-errand | E | 105k

peaky blinders drarry, need i say more?? i read this immediately after finishing the latest season and it really did feel like i hadn’t left. it captures the intrigue and magic of the show and draco as tommy is perfect. also as someone who wasn’t the biggest fan of grace and tommy’s relationship in the show, draco and harry in their place gave me a much better appreciation of the story!

i listened to this while sewing my outfit for a wedding i went to and it was so so good. healer draco is a favourite of mine and this fic is such a good example of why! the general reading and voices is also very well done and made for great listening.

MA has crafted a lyrical, heartbreaking story told from Astoria Greengrass' POV as Draco drifts away from her and into a new lover's arms. this is a beautiful reading of Astoria's character and a gorgeous take on Draco & Harry's love.

♬ Lights Down Low { T | 4k } - oh gosh, this musician/Muggle world story absolutely stole my heart. MA writes a messy-but-loveable Harry and an endearingly sexy Draco as they work through all the history (new and old) that they have together. it's 4k but so rich in detail and subtle worldbuilding that it read more like 20k.

♬ Paper Rings { E | 50k } - this story masterfully weaves together teenage Draco & Harry's love story with their adult love as they meet and collide amid Harry's divorce with Ginny. 's full of heat and beautiful characterizations, and you'll fall in love all over with them as they finally find their way to each other.

♬ You Know the Feeling { M | 12k } - this fic is a beautiful dive into the slow, organic way that love can grow, warm and full of heart. it takes this Draco and Harry time to figure out what it is between them, but the journey is wonderfully fun, full of detailed worldbuilding, and rich in thoughtful post-war character arcs for everyone.

♬ Staring Into Open Flame { E | 25k } - oooh this one sizzles, quite literally, as Draco & Harry dance around each other, while there's an arsonist on the loose in Wizarding London. The mystery is intriguing, the smut scorches, and the twists will keep you guessing...
