Search Engines - What is it and how you can improve your understanding of them moving forward.
The search engine is a service whose purpose is to search for information through the Internet, mostly by entering keywords. The result of the search is usually displayed as a list of websites containing the required information, with the ability to be visited by the person searching for the information. World's most famous search engine is Google. Also, often used are Yahoo, Bing, AltaVista and Ask. You can learn more about how to increase your ranking in the search engines by following some SEO blogs like SEMtuts.
Search engines operate by the steps of some algorithm or the combination of algorithms and human interference. They collect information from different web sites, include them in their database and then offer them to the user.
How do search engines work?
1. The search engines work by collecting information from many websites, which are found on the World Wide Web. That information is collected with the help of a Web crawler, an automated Web browser which follows every link to see.
2. The content of each webpage is then analysed with the aim of establishing ways of indexing. Data from the webpages is stored in the database index ready to be used in the next searching processes.
3. When a user tries to search something (usually using keywords) the search engine looks at its index and provides a list of the best-matched web pages. How much a search engine will be accepted and used from the population depends on the relevance of the result that it provides. While there may be millions of Web pages that include a particular word or phrase, some pages may be more relevant.

Wordpress? Have you heard of it? It’s time to get on that.
Today, WordPress is probably the most popular CMS. It is the software that is used to manage the content of one Web site. Originally, WordPress was designed for blogging. The best thing is that the usage of this platform is simple and it is widely accepted from different parts of the community, not just from bloggers.
When you create a website in WordPress, updating the same is just as easy as the skills required for usage of Microsoft Word or similar word processing program.
It is desirable, but not necessary, to have some tools to optimise images before you upload them to the web. So, you as someone who updates the site, only need to enter text, images and video. You may ask yourself how those elements will be received on your Web site? The answer is that WP is doing the "dirty" part of the job for you.
For the look of your site are responsible true professional designers that design themes and give them free for usage or for a minimal fee. Overall, the free themes are quite useful and satisfactory for all general users. Those who want more can choose any of the so-called premium themes that require a payment.
The same applies to plug-ins. WordPress can easily be expanded by using plug-ins for different purposes. They are very easy to install and make your site extremely functional.
It is important to mention that WordPress is created with the help of PHP, HTML, CSS, and is working on MySQL database.
