Music performance session 12
Manifesto: for our final performance we aimed to achieve trying out new songs to a live audience to judge reactions and see weather they would be a strong addition to our live set. We wanted to bring more of our brand into immersive footage when performing, taking viewers deeper into our own rabbit hole.
I wanted to capture the gritty high energy music with the visuals and stylise them in a way that compliments our genre and image. using a software called PhotoMosh it made our assets pop more with both animated and static effects and audio based triggers to match with our backing track.
Aiming to create a smooth short set I want there to be more to the backing tracks than just instrumentals so with the addition of Text to Speech based “Lore” between tracks it gives us time to tune guitars, drink, and get ready for the following song without having to rely on us maintaining audience attention.
In terms of stage outfits we tend to lean towards dark colours but also wearer comfort, its not deeply important to us as a band till we reach a higher budget. Reckon some masks would look dope.
Our idea for the set is to trigger both the visuals and the backing track as one file which would cancel out the need for audio to video trigger timing, as a fail proof plan we added a count down in the audio where if needed we can use it as a cue to align the visuals to it with minimal time difference.

WWW: set worked smoothly with all the different elements coming together to create the atmosphere. The songs were well rehearsed and everyone knew what their respected roles were.
EBI: visuals was projected behind us or had our banner on the backdrop of the stage. 10 times better if we could have had our drummer and bassist on stage with us. more dynamic lighting preferences for the performance.
