Specialty Cream Cheese Shop to Open in NYC

A specialty shop devoted to cream cheese will open in Manhattan's East Village in July. Becky's Bites is the brainchild of Becky Rosenthal, who wants to reclaim cream cheese as a New York staple. The shop's motto will be "Cream Cheese Reimagined."

Several core flavors of cream cheese will be offered at the shop, along with a flavor of the month and seasonal rotations. The menu will mainly consist of bonbon-sized cream cheese balls, along with tiny tarts, cookie sandwiches, and mini bagels with savory spreads like "bacon, egg and cream cheese."

There's a good possibility that hot chocolate topped with cream cheese whipped cream will join a selection of coffee beverages on the menu, reports Gothamist.
