Hey btw, 99.99999999% of asexual are both NOT TO BLAME and DO NOT WANT the current censorship bans in place/to be placed on countries such as Australia, the UK and US America.

Just because some of us are sex repulsed, or don’t want to have sex personally, does not mean we support censorship.

I saw a post blaming asexuals in an ace tag (not the main thank gods), and just wanted to say that censorship is bad for everyone have a nice day.

Also sex repulsed ≠ sex negative. One is “I don’t want sex for me and it’s gross to me” (repulsed) the other is “I don’t want anyone to have sex and sex is gross to everyone” (negative)

Welcome to the aspec (aro/ace/apl) character central ‼️ I will hopefully stay on top of this as much as I can, but here are the simple rules:

1. Send one (1) character at a time along with their aspec identity and what media they're from

2. Tell me in the ask if it's a headcanon or if it's canon so I can add to the post! shoutout my canon aspec characters ily

3. NO REAL PEOPLE ❌ this is characters only but if they're based on/played by real people it's allowed (like Evbo from parkour civ, as long as it's the character not the guy)

3. More detailed labels are allowed, like demi/omni/cupio (incl aroallo/alloace) !!

4. Before you ask, look through to see if a character has been submitted already 😁 you can only submit the same character if you have a different headcanon for them

5. Feel free to add propaganda to your asks LOL we need to make the world convert every character to aspec if possible (aspec admin. hi guys Waves my hand)

“Aros can still date” and “aces can still have sex” are not neutral statements. They are loaded with pressure to conform to amatonormativity and abandon romance-/sex-aversion in favor of partnering. It’s like telling a trans person “well, you don’t HAVE to transition.” It’s a passive way of telling someone that you want them to confine themselves within societal standards. Yes, there are aromantic people that date and asexual people that have sex, but the majority of us are non-partnering, and it is intrinsic to our aro/ace identities. Any attempt to erase that or otherwise downplay its significance is blatant aphobia. Not to mention how those statements are constantly used to erase aro/ace representation in media, even when the character in question has made it abundantly clear that they are not at all interested in romance or sex. Get your fucking nose out of aro/ace peoples’ business and stop playing into belief systems that constantly harm us.

I'd love to be alloallo and not want to vomit every time the mere topic of sex-related things are mentioned. Unfortunately that is not the case. Labels like aroace and apothi are freeing. They're what made people in my life stop trying to harm me, because with these words they learned that I'm normal, just different.
