last father’s day related post: ​i don’t respect the body’s father in the slightest because he’s such a fucking dipshit that it’s dangerous for my and my system’s wellbeing and sanity, but i was made to be nice to him that day against my will by making him some food. at the very least he liked my cooking which is kinda surprising*, but probably because he is so bad at cooking himself that he’s been eating utter slop for so long that me making him food reminded him that meals don’t have to taste like sad flavorless cardboard and insults to our latino ancestors.

*surprising because that was my very first attempt at making a real meal and it was an utter disaster and i could write a dissertation about everything that went wrong. the end result was still edible and tasty… but the way to get to said result was not pretty and i almost burned the house down 😭

npd culture is trying your best to keep from pulling your partner into the idealization and devaluation cycle because you genuinely really love them. even though i don't feel emotional empathy for them i try really hard to. it makes me nervous that i see them as a bit lower than me sometimes :( i'll always think of them as a person just like me for as long as i can
