Two Time and Azure bond reminds me of Basil and Sunny/Omori

This post is purely for fun. I love Two Time and Azure’s bond(both preforsaken and in forsaken), which I happened to notice parallels to Sunny/Omori and Basil’s bond in Omori.

This is also bc I don’t see anyone yap about this and it’s driving me crazy. I SWEAR I’M NOT DELUSIONAL GUYS.

*spoilers for Omori, if you haven’t played it yet. Go play it now.

1. Both Azure and Basil love garden. With in the dream realm for Omori, we have dream basil talk about how his friends represent a plant in his garden. While with Azure we know that he told Two Time about nightshades and probably grew flowers in the cult.

2. Omori feelings on Basil and Sunny parallels to how Azure feels about their relationship with Two Time. Okay so in Omori, the moment dream Basil realizes Mari is dead, he gets thrown into the black space where Omori kills/lets dream Basil die in multiple ways. It’s obvious that Omori dislikes and possibly hate dream Basil for knowing the truth/gave the idea to hang Mari but tolerates them in the dream world. I feel like Omori’s views on Sunny are interesting, after all Sunny created them to protect themselves but they are the reason Mari is dead dead. Like sleeping with the fishy dead. I think Omori would loathe Sunny do to this fact in a way. Now with Azure, hehe. OH BOY DOES SOMEBODY HATE THEIR PARTNER ALL RIGHT, but in all seriousness it’s cannon that Azure loathes themselves for missing Two Time and hates Two Time for sacrificing them. Azure longing for the past when they were with Two Time coincides with Sunny longing for when Mari was alive. It makes me wonder if Azure beats himself up for wanting to go back to a simpler time with Two Time and the fact that its cannon his hatred is the reason he can’t move on reminds me of how Omori tries to prevent Sunny from moving on.

3. Azure has abandonment issues/paranoia similar to Basil, just the difference is Basil is more open to Sunny on how they feel while Azure just doesn’t communicate negative emotions. However because Azure doesn’t want to communicate their feelings it reminds me on how Sunny stop showing up to school and just shutting themselves away from the outside world.

4. Two Time and Basil share delusions. Basil refusing to believe his best friend killed his sister to the point of being a safety risk for themselves and their friends is extremely similar to how Two Time is clearly not mentally well and shares delusions with the Spawn so much that they harmed their partner. I feel like with Two Time, they would share their negative thoughts with Azure and would probably have mental break downs due to murdering Azure and their delusions about the spawn. Just like how Basil has multiple break downs over their delusions, Sunny moving, and the death of Mari.

5. Omori and Two Time both carry a knife/dagger and are monochrome. Also I’m not sure about Two Time having schizophrenia, but if it is true then it would be similar to how Sunny hallucinates many things such as the stairs never ending, seeing the dream world version of his friends in the real world, and more.

6. Two Time hides the fact that they killed Azure most likely in fear of how the other survivors would react and probably wants a chance to make friends. It’s the same reason why Basil and Sunny hide the fact why they killed Mari except they wanted to keep their friend group.

These are the similarities I could think of from Sunny/Omori and Basil bond with Azure and Two Time bond, the rest is me going on a small tangent on how two time reminds me of Kris/Chara in a way.

Two Time reminds me of Chara/Kris because both are non binary people who have a bad mental health and associated with knives/daggers, Two time not trusting themselves with knives due to hearing “demons”, like how Kris went to therapy with some issues relating to violence, and Chara asking where are the knives and being gifted a wooden dagger and having a clear hatred for humanity. Chara and Two Time are both considered unnerving by other people. Chara, Kris, and Two Time definitely caused mischief with Kris scaring Noelle, Two Time sneaking around with Azure, and Chara being implied to be mischievous in the tapes. They all also want to belong in some way. With Kris and Chara wanting to belong with monsters and Two Time wanting to belong with the survivors in some way due to being apart of a cult that could cause an already rift between other survivors.
