People who work FT, regardless of the position they work and the demands associated, should be able to afford rent, groceries, medicine, utilities AND a personal life (not saying opulence here, simple personal life enhancements such as visiting the parks they work for). It’s extremely disheartening to see other content creators in this space take a differing stance, especially those who were previously cast members. Cast members are the reason parks are enjoyable to us as fans. They have to deal with the worst of people on a daily basis and still keep a smile on their faces and strive to give us all memorable experiences. Not a single park could operate without the dedication of their respective teams, from the sweepers and ticket takers all the up to the suits (and don’t be mistaken, our experience is solely based on frontline, guest facing cast members upward, not from the top down). For a company that has laid off well over 40,000 people in the past 3 years while simultaneously raising admission prices and per guest revenue , to not be willing to guarantee their workforce living wages is despicable. I may not have much of a platform, but I’ll sure as hell use it to voice my support for cast members and the working class at large. PAY CAST MEMBERS MORE!
