the one thing that bothers me with using any/all pronouns is that cis people often hear that and go "oh great! you use all pronouns so that includes she/her! I will therefore only use she/her pronouns for you :)"
like. no. I say I use ALL pronouns. so I would like you to use them interchangeably

What do y'all want to see more of in genderfluid media?
Like, let's say there will be a new character in your favorite show who just happens to be genderfluid. How do you want them to represent themselves? In what ways you want them to show their genderfluidity?
This is question mainly to genderfluid folks but if you're not genderfluid you can speak up too! Just make sure to state that you're not genderfluid first.

sometimes being genderfluid is very tiring. why can't my gender just be simple. like it's fun to be a genderfuck but like,, sometimes i just wanna be just a trans guy and be able to go on T and get top surgery. and then other times i just want to be a girl and wear a skirt and makeup and be like, high femme. and there's not really any winning the gender game here and it sucks. idk. just was wondering if anyone else felt the same way

actually fuck every straight person who says heartstopper is unrealistic and clichée and cringe. you get unrealistic and clichée and cringe ALL THE TIME. you get rom coms with a happy ending. you get the fireworks and flowers and movie kisses. and we (queer people) get the vague hand-holding and sad endings.
personally i love that not every piece of queer media isn't tragic. we need more cringe, clichée, unrealistic queer love stories. we need the queer kids to know that it CAN be happy and amazing. <3

Hi! I’m Alex, and I am gender fluid. I go by any pronouns, doesn’t really matter to me. I make posts about music, fandoms, books, astronomy, D&D and other things that I find interesting!
Feel free to ask me anything! I will try my best to help, even if it’s something I wouldn’t really outright give advice on.
If there is anything you would like to see me post about, kindly ask me via the button thing at the top of my page! I will try and respond to every suggestion, but I may not be able to if I get a lot!

Not an ask, but I just want to send out love and support to anyone on here who is struggling with your identity. I'm bisexual and everyone around me were the Brimstone and Fire type of religious.
It took me a long time to accept myself. Though our struggles are vastly different, the fact remain that those of us who don't conform to society have had a hard time of it. I respect anyone who strives to be true to themselves, and those who can't due to their position in life.
We are all strong, handsome, beautiful, wonderful and special in one way or another. Let's lift each other up in these trying times. <3

My transmasculine experience is accidentally looking exactly like the OC I have been drawing since I was roughly twelve.
That was not my intent, but I dont mind.
when i was younger, all the (male) characters that i drew pretty much gave me a ton of gender envy so i absolutely wouldn’t mind looking like them.

My transmasc experience is wanting to order a binder, but will most likely have to have it ordered to my (trans) friend’s address and then pick it up from them later so my parents don’t know
yup. i feel this. transphobic parents are really the worst, aren’t they?

How long do you think you could go without talking to anyone aloud?
(This is assuming they wouldn't make you. You don't have to engage in conversation, answer your parents verbally, etc. if you don't want to. This is a question of your need for interaction.)
I think that I would last for at least a week. Im not very sociable and usually only talk when spoken to.

Anyone who interacts with this post will get a random question in their ask box.
Edit: I'm so sorry to anyone I've missed! I'm gonna have to say that I'm just going to have to do the comments (replies, whatever they're called) and reblogs that say something (tags are included.)
The reason for this is the likes and empty reblogs stack up into bunches in my inbox (I have no idea how else to say it) and I can't keep track of who I've asked, and who I haven't.
I did NOT expect this to blow up. It's been less than a week and it's at 1.5K. I thought this would just die after maybe five likes.
Again, I am so sorry to everyone I missed.
Sincerely,
-Firefly

We need to talk about gender options when filling some forms!
Tumblr media
Because why can we only choose between binary genders and "I don't want to talk about it"?
I DO want to talk about it. A lot of us DO want to disclose it, even if it's different from the cis female and male. It's not that we do not want to share it, and it's already messed up that most forms don't even offer a third choice, but if they do offer one, at least it could say "Other".
