Sherlock Holmes.
8K posts
The worlds only consulting detective; I invented the job. I live with my friend, colleague and life partner - John Watson. Well known for the work I do as a not-so-private detective and Scotland Yard's pain in the arse. But without me, they'd be lost. Should you need me on a case, you know what to do. Yours... inquisitorially, SH. @Sherlockedh221b and should I be unavailable, or just ignoring you, best to try John. INACTIVE AS OF 16/08/2012

Final OOC.
Okay ladies and gentlemen, I am sure this will come as no surprise: I am shutting this account down but I am leaving the account up, it will just be inactive.
I've got a job now and life is getting serious; my A2 levels start in September and I need to focus on those and I have a serious relationship (which took me by surprise as well... yeah.)
If you all still want to communicate with me - I would love that and if it's Sherlock you want, then I can do that too.
It has been an honor and without this community, I don't know where I would be. I have loved interacting with such creative people as yourselves and it breaks my heart to leave but it must be done.
So thank you all so much for a fantastic time and I am sorry to be leaving.
~Yours apologetically, Charley.

Tripoli, Libya I July 24, 2012
During the early morning ours after breaking their Ramadan fast, young Libyan men gather at a Tripoli pier to drift and drag race their cars. In typical Libyan fashion, the over-the-top dragging display destroys the vehicles in favor of reckless showmanship. (Photo by Benjamin Lowy/Getty Reportage)
Conflict photographer Ben Lowy, on a grant from the Magnum Foundation’s Emergency Fund, has spent the last two weeks shooting from Libya on a photojournalism inspired Hipstamatic lens — and posting exclusively to Tumblr. Check out Lowy’s Tumblr and Storyboard’s interview with the photographer.

Describe your closest friend in ten words.
Strong, persistent, caring, occasionally possessive, considerate, ex-military, extraordinary, youthful, mine.

Digital painting of Sherlock in A Study in Pink :)
(I actually did this as a part of the ‘kick your own ass’ meme from dA, where you redo the first painting you ever painted/uploaded, hopefully showing improvement etc. The original painting is from 8 months ago, if you want to see what it looks like it is here lol xD)
Progress gif on my side blog here :)

Roommate Moments that should have happened: That Month When Sherlock and John Decided to Grow Beards
(Of course Sherlock’s would be the type that comes in ginger and grows very slowly in patches)
(For a while, everybody thought he had dirt on his face)
(And John’s beard is magnificent. He scored more dates than usual that month)
(Unfortunately, this inspired a similar trend in the Yard, starting with Lestrade’s division)
