(slight spoilers below)

this story was such an amazing addition to yuzus catalogue and i am continuously thankful for his character development, it is amazing to see him grow so much. this story is a lot heavier than the others, with the main focus being yuzu dealing with grieving over his parents death and being separated from his brother. we get a deep look into his past and how its affected his emotions today and it was beautifully done. he may seem cold but i truly believe he has the biggest heart ever, everything he does is to honour his parents legacy and inspire hope in others so they dont feel as low as he did. ofc, trying to reach takumi plays a part, and we saw him lean on mc a lot for working through his thoughts there, but this ep truly showed he is both so caring and compassionate but also a deep character

The babies… I really didn’t expect to get the first appearance of child Kei in Yuzuru’s route of all places, but goodness 😭

And the personalities!! As a Brit, they really nailed child Kei’s attitude. He’s a little shit who swears every other sentence, and they’ve carried his personality on from his own route well.

Baby Yuzuru is a sweetheart. So kind 😭 even as a child, he still worried for Kei not eating properly. Mother hen through and through.

I like how even though this isn’t Kei’s route (where Yuzuru is involved in their relationship) they still made a big point to show Kei and Yuzu’s closeness here.

I loved the scene near the end where Kei catches Yuzu napping on the sofa, and gave him a blanket and a cushion while soothing him by running his fingers through his hair 🥹🥹 they destroy me lmao

This season has completely broken my heart (in a positive way). It’s all about Yuzuru’s backstory in more detail than you could ever imagine. It’s going to take me a while to process this but goodness.

This is easily the saddest MK season to date, but god it was so well written. Also, I’m glad to finally know what the deal with Takumi is and how they’re handling that. I’ll make a proper review as well as the recent Kei stories soon, this is just a lot of content all at once 😭
