{/startled by the voice, she turns around quickly but then ducks her head in a bow when she sees who it is} Soohyun oppa! Thank you. Really, thank you. {/she peeks up, unconsciously mirroring his smile} It’s nice to be back, both here and on stage. Your comeback was 대박 though!

{/she watches in awe, completely speechless for a moment, then she mouths along to the words before finally singing along quietly. it doesn’t take too long for her to fling her arms around his torso, folding her hands behind his back so she has a firm and secure hold on him} You’re the best!

"Welcome back, Hyejeong-ssi!" She smiles warmly and bows. "I'm really happy you got back. We missed you here at Moon Town."

Hyejeong's eyes go wide when she sets them on the girl who just greeted her, a healthy pink color tinting her cheeks. "Thank you so much, Suzy-ssi. It means a lot to me, you don't even know." Her thin lips form a wide smile as she beams at the younger. "I missed being around everyone here. Let's... let's use this opportunity to grow closer, mh?"

Heaving a quiet sigh that she hoped no one would hear, Hyejeong fumbled with the jumpsuit she was wearing. The orange color would make it hard to successfully hide somewhere, at least harder than their opponent’s forest green. Apart from that, she barely had any hope that she would do well. Paintball didn’t seem like something she would excel in, but with a shrug of her shoulders she brushed it off and instead started smiling brightly, the way she usually did. It was just a friendly competition after all, to have fun, not to worry about whether or not she would be able to impress anyone. With that out of the way, she just went with the flow, and when everyone went into hiding, so did she, crouching down behind a barrel that had very obviously been set up just to serve this purpose.

With childish excitement, she looked around, unable to stop grinning like an idiot, though she liked to tell herself that that was just because of the adrenaline rushing through her veins. Nothing seemed to happen for a few moments, or maybe it just felt that way to Hyejeong, but she decided to take action herself, peeking out from her hiding spot and looking around for a few seconds before ducking again, then she repeated the same process again until finally she caught a glimpse of a forest green jumpsuit in the distance – or at least she believed so, since it could have also been a bush she mistook for a person. Shooting someone certainly wasn’t something Hyejeong had ever wanted to do, but she reminded herself that it was just a water balloon a thousand times and then finally managed to aim, resting her arm on the barrel to steady her hand. Just as she was about to send the first water balloon flying, her partner’s voice reached her ears and she burst out laughing, her shoulders consequently shaking, but she accidentally shot nevertheless, which only caused her to laugh even more to the point that she had to muffle her laughter with her hand in order not to give away her hiding spot.

Much to her surprise, she saw that she had somehow managed to hit despite it all – or probably because of it all – when she dared to look up the next time and her eyes doubled in size. How?  

Paintballs Tournament, Round 1, Match 3!

Team 1: Lay & Hyejeong, in princeton orange.

Team 2: Hoon & Suzy, in forest green.

Team 1 attacks first.

The order is: Lay, Suzy, Hyejeong, and Hoon.

The judge steps to the middle of the synthetic field and, with a serious expression, glances at both teams. Once he’s sure everybody is ready, he nods to the head of the cameramen staff before rising his right arm up to the sky. In one swift moment, he brings it back down, and with a soundy “Let the games begin!” that earns gidddy laughters from the audience, he initiates the match. Let the games begin!

Remember: roll a die before your turn so you’ll know what to write! 1, 2 and 3 means you’ve missed; 4 is a hit to the arms or legs (feel free to choose); 5 is a paint balloon to the torso of your opponent; and a 6 is a headshot. Good luck!

The wide smile remained on Hyejeong’s lips as she hugged herself while waiting for Yura’s replies. How long had it been since she had started shipping these two? At least three months. Now that something actually seemed to be progressing, she just couldn’t hold back her excitement at all.

[ text to: Yura unnie ] Of course! … … … Well, actually… Bomi and I planned to lock you up in a room and we didn’t really go through with any of our plans but I guess our nagging was enough. ㅋㅋ

[ text to: Yura unnie ] I—you know, I just want you two to be happy and you make each other happy so— Also… PERFECT COUPLE, just saying.

[ text to: Yura unnie ] We are! Our comeback MV and first mini album will be released on the 19th. Please support us a lot! >_< Should I really teach you the choreo before it’s even out? Wouldn’t that take some of the excitement out of it? ㅋㅋㅋ

[ text to: Yura unnie ] Isn’t that sort of possessive? I mean-- of course you’re not. I know what you mean. ㅋㅋ

Writing with Yura like this, Hyejeong was really tempted to send Soohyun a message too to tease him about the same things and maybe get something out of him as well, but he was promoting at the moment and she really didn’t want to bother him… and besides, she wasn’t as close with him as she was with Yura, so she would probably be a bit too shy anyway.

[ text to: Yura unnie ] I am the happiest shipper right now. SooRa hwaiting! ㅠㅠ

When she reread the last message, a grin grew on her lips. She wasn’t sure if Yura was trying to change the topic or if she just wanted to talk to her in private, but she was fine with either. Excitement was still visible on her features when she got up and knocked on her leader’s door to ask for permission. Their schedule was always incredibly tight before comebacks, but since they had finished practicing for the day, no one opposed to the idea as everyone else would just be resting and thus wouldn’t need her there. A couple of minutes later, she typed her reply.

[ text to: Yura unnie ] 전 바보가 아니예요. ㅜㅜ But we can meet anytime! When and where? ^^

A loud laugh escaped her lips and she had to quickly muffle the sound using a hand. People would probably think she’s going crazy laughing and spazzing by looking at her own phone. Yura pulled herself up and tucked an annoying strand of her behind her ear.

[ sms to Angel Jeong ]: Aah— you two are the masterminds behind it all, I knew it. ㅋㅋ

[ sms to Angel Jeong ]: Aigoo. You enjoy making me embarrassed don’t you? You guys are having a comeback?? *.* Please teach me the choreo later. ♡

[ sms to Angel Jeong ]: I’m not possessive… ㅠㅠ But I don’t want him to strip for anyone. ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

Despite her texts, Yura was truly embarrassed by her dongsaeng’s teasing. She couldn’t get the images of Soohyun off her mind, for a reason she didn’t really know. Secretly, she went to open the attached pictures again, staring for a few seconds. The question on her mind was — save it or leave it? However, her fingers moved faster than her brain, and she did save them in a secret folder.

[ sms to Angel Jeong ]: … („#ﾟДﾟ) I… well… maybe once or twice. But because of the circumstances!!

She didn’t know how to reply. It was true Soohyun had hugged her a few times and she definitely couldn’t deny how much she appreciated those moments, but it was something intimate between the two of them. After about 10 minutes, she finally replied.

[ sms to Angel Jeong ]:  혜정바보ㅋㅋ Can we meet later on?
