was re-listening to some of the game bgm, and scarborough fair from dark fate came on, and the beginning of it sounded SO familiar but i couldn’t quite place where i’d heard it from.
after listening to it about 4 more times, i realized it was a slowed down, instrumental version of simon & garfunkel’s scarborough fair
I think politics would also very much be a banned topic at Sakamaki family dinners, and especially when both families are present to avoid an all-out war in their dining room.
they CAN'T have political discussions at the sakamaki dinner table because reiji is the only one who has actual opinions and everyone else would just be telling him to shut up about it :(
reiji: it's important that you know the policies tougo sakamaki is campaigning on-
kanato: pass the mashed potatoes NOW OR I'LL KILL YOU
reiji having abs is so funny to me bc it brings to mind the image of him doing push-ups and planks in his room trying to look completely unbothered by it
had to stay up so late last night to finish a project i procrastinated on and now the bags under my eyes are rivaling kanato’s send thoughts and perhaps prayers
2020 Dialovers Tumblr will actually live in my heart forever
The content (fanarts, merch, and actual content from Rejet)
The roleplay (from not just the characters but the objects that came to life)
The fangirling (for even the parents we can all agree are unredeemable)
The fandom was so alive back then, it’s crazy to believe it was a near 4 years ago already. I can’t be the only one who looks back on the time so fondly.
Translator’s note: This was both hilarious but also a little confusing because I had to use 200% brain power to both translate the dialogue, as well as actually write down the name of the correct character. xD Huge props to the seiyuu for altering their voices to actually make it seems like it was a different boy inside the body though. Especially hearing Ayato’s crude language with Kanato’s voice was very funny.
Translator’s note: I remember listening to this CD once back when I was still fairly new to the DL fandom. I found a list of funny drama CDs and this one was on it as well and it sounded like a blast so…It’s actually one of the harder CDs to translate though, because the scenes where they are studying all rely on language puns which are extremely difficult to grasp if you are not a native speaker. > < I had to do a lot of googling as well to figure out the origin of some of the mentioned stuff.
shuu: if you’re cold, they’re cold. put them in your mouth
Diabolik Lovers Do-S Kyuuketsu CD Vol. 6: Sakamaki Shuu
Original title: ドS吸血CD・逆巻シュウ
Source: Diabolik Lovers Do-S Kyuuketsu CD Vol. 6 Sakamaki Shuu
Audio: Here
Seiyuu: Toriumi Kousuke
Translator’s note: This CD traumatized me even more than Laito’s did, to be honest. > < While Laito’s might have been worse when it comes to manipulation and mentally breaking the MC, there’s some really disgusting and gore-y stuff in this CD. Even though it’s only sound, it still made me squirm and even feel somewhat sick to my stomach. I was also surprised by how much Shuu talks. He goes on those mini rambles where he just trash talks the MC with that sharp tongue of his. I think this might have been the one I found the most difficult to translate out of all of the boys. ;;
