hopelessly in love

heard my alarm as I opened my sleepy eyes. I wanted to fall back asleep but I couldn't because today was the first day at my new school. The first day for niki jones. I thought to myself. Normally people would be nervous or excited but I felt nothing like there was a void in my body that didn’t let me feel any emotions. My mother hated my condition, always saying that all she wanted was a normal daughter but after she gave birth to me she couldn’t conceive anymore children, which made her grow even more hatred for me. Growing up I was confused but now I see why, I'm a freak. But no time to dwell on the past I have to get ready for school. After I got ready I looked at myself in the mirror I had in my room. The uniform was nothing special. A short black and blue skirt with a black top with a red bow around the collar of my top. I put my shoes on, grabbed a piece of toast and walked out the being as quiet as possible as to not wake my mother. I started to walk to school having a little more bounce to my step than usual. I don’t know why but it was okay. I got to school and stood right at the entrance of the huge school I am now attending. it was huge but whatever i guess i should head inside. As I walked through the hallways of the school I bumped into something or was it someone. I saw someone holding out their hand towards me to help me up. It was a boy with purple hair and black eyes. He also wore glasses. To be honest he looked like a nerd but he seemed nice I guess. I took his hand as he helped me up after grabbing my stuff and handing it to me. Apologising profusely. I thanked him for helping me up and getting my stuff for me and telling him that he didn’t need to apologize. The boy agreed.

The boy: by the way my name is hajime, hajime yumada ma’am.

niki: nice to meet you yumada-kun my name is niki jones.    

Hajime: well miss jones how about i show you around the school.

niki: hmm sure.

As we walked around the school I felt something in my heart. What was this feeling? It was so confusing to me i lost myself in my mind until i heard yumada-kun callout my name asking if i was alright. I nodded my head as we ended up at the headmaster’s office. I had forgotten I was supposed to come. I must’ve been lost in my head for quite a bit. I waved goodbye to yumada-kun. As he waved back I stepped into the headmaster's office. As I took my first step into the office. The lights were off, was he not here? I sat down in one of the chairs in the office and suddenly the lights turned on. I turned around to see the headmaster standing there.

Headmaster: ah hello ma’am.

Niki: Hello there sir.

Headmaster: you must be miss niki jones am i correct?

Niki: yes sir…

I sat there talking to the headmaster for about twenty minutes before he called someone to his office. She had dark blue  hair with red eyes. She introduced herself as Yuri Sato. She seemed sweet. I held out my hand for a handshake as I introduced myself. She grabbed my hand and shook it. The headmaster said that sato-san was going to be my tour guide. She nodded, putting her hand on my wrist firmly as she started to walk well I guess run out the room. She is an energetic girl. We walked around the whole school. Sato had so much energy. By the time we were done and had to go to class she still had so much energy. She walked me to my class and started to walk away waving. I guess we aren’t in the same class. I walked into the classroom to see the same purple haired boy from earlier. I saw that the desk right next to him was empty so I decided to sit there. He greeted me with a warm smile. A smile that made me feel that weird feeling again. It was hard to tell what it was. I've never felt it before but then I've never felt any emotion in my life. The teacher walked into the classroom shortly after I did. The teacher started the lesson. It sounded like it was going on forever. The bell rang. was lost in my thoughts again. I turned around to see yamada-kun standing right behind me, it was kinda creepy. When he saw me looking at him he jumped. I asked what he was doing and suddenly he got all nervous. What was up with him? I stood up, grabbed my bag and left the classroom for lunch. When I got outside to eat lunch, I saw yuri. I’m guessing she saw me too cause she started waving at me, jestering for me to come over to sit with her. This was going to be a long day
