It’s been exactly one month since the night everything changed. Had to celebrate with a Lover photoshoot around town with my new fave tee. 💗

Many people have asked me what my favourite part of the secret session was. After thinking about this for many nights, because there are a wealth of moments from that night that I will cherish forever, I finally settled on the moment when I had the chance to tell her that I’d been a fan for 11 years. I thanked her for being so generous and trusting us to be there, because it meant the world. Hearing that, she sort of did a quick side shuffle and on her face was this fleeting look of being overcome by emotion. Without saying anything, she threw out her hands and took me in another embrace. That small moment gave me a glimpse of what she meant, all those times in interviews and during shows and on videos, when she told the world how much her fans mean to her. She knows she means so much to us too.

Since Lover was released, my friends have supported the album in lots of different ways: while some of them bought the standard version of it, others got like 113 deluxe versions of the album (honestly, are they ever enough?). Sadly, some of them couldn’t get the album yet because they live in places where it’s not yet sold and they’re waiting for their package to come! The rest of them wore merch and streamed the album with their family and friends! And finally, some of them organized amazing release parties where they decorated stuff and baked for their friends! (SO COOL, RIGHT?)

In any case, the important part is that all of them are supporting this album like CRAZY because it’s what this amazing masterpiece deserves!

If this past year has taught me anything, it’s that it’s ok to be yourself and not hide it. It’s ok to not be perfect. It’s ok to love and lose. It’s ok to be the version of yourself that is your best self that others may not agree with or 113% support, but you’re being YOUrself and that’s what matters.

Lover comes at a time in my life where nothing seems to be quite how I expected it to turn out to be. Many parts of my life have changed drastically. I returned home to a town that I ran away from 8 years ago in search of the real me. I’m back in a place where I haven’t felt comfortable, but needed a soft place to land, a safe place to hit the reset button, and I knew I would be ok here. I truly am alright, right here. Now I come back more confident than ever, not letting anyone tell me who to love or who to be.

Things come and go, seasons change, and time flashes quickly. But life is still beautiful and real, and there’s always an opportunity to take something and learn from it. Taylor, thank you for letting us share in this new season with you. We are all so excited to see you so happy and full of love and pure joy.
