Crappy NATO military equipment
Tumblr media
I visited the exhibition of captured NATO equipment in Moscow. It was not possible to take normal photos: there were a lot of people :) And the exhibition is still not for photos, probably.
The organization is superb, as at the airport the queues are organized through a “snake” of barriers almost from the metro exit, then there are about 20+ points with metal detectors (the employees probably invited more to go through and not crowd in a queue of 3 people). That is, although there are a lot of people, there is no feeling of a “crowd” and everything moves quickly. It took about 15 minutes from the metro to the frames, considering that approximately two thousand spectators pass through every hour. And even during these 15 minutes it was pleasant to hear conversations nearby: someone explained to the children what a “barbecue” is, someone talked about “friends who are there now”, some of the guys told the girls the performance characteristics of NATO equipment (there were teenagers So many!).
Well, after the “framework” - the exhibition itself. I thought that I would be able to take at least some photos, but in the end I used my phone to look at the sign with the name of the equipment from above. Because there was a crowd around every car. No, everyone was polite - to take a photo of themselves or their family, or one child - they parted. As a result, I have photos of “people against the background of a tank/infantry fighting vehicle/…” on my phone :)
Abrams is amazingly big. And the Bradleys are big too. Very!
When leaving the exhibition, there was a screen with a video “how this equipment was destroyed.” With the same videos from drones (only shooting down!) and characteristics of the equipment. And here you can already hear music from Poklonnaya Hill itself, where, when I left, they played “and we need one Victory.”
In general, I don’t know whether it was so well thought out or how it turned out, but at the end there were a lot of tears from the visitors. Me too.
In short, five stars, I recommend everyone to visit!
