Imo I think it's mostly counter productive to be shipping Kris with all of these characters. Correct me if I'm wrong but the point of deltarune is a reflection of how we interact with fiction and fictional dynamics. And in terms when speaking about Kris, it's mostly about their lack of autonomy both meta and in game universe.

Perhaps this is since fandom in general is very pro amatonormativity. And because of that many in this fandom refuse/don't care about what this game is trying to say about forced cis hetero romantic relationships.

For Noelle and Kris, it's clear that they've been forced into this dynamic without their consent. Snow grave is literally forcing them into this cis hetero normative relationship. Literally Kris putting the thorn ring on Noelle and representations of either a rose, blood dripping, or a cracked heart show up. Showing that Noelle's agency has been violated, kris's too. It is an abuse allegory. The game is presenting hetero cis marriage on a non binary and a lesbian character. Forcing Kris to be a husband figure and Noelle to be a wife figure with the thorn ring. And Kris has lost their autonomy too. They are unable to control their actions both by the player and other forces in the game.

This goes the same for Susie and Kris too. It's been so so so important that they have both experienced being ostracized from their communities in many ways. And Susie opening up to Kris is something so important because Susie has put this wall and tough girl act on to protect herself. She's finally being vulnerable to Kris, someone she trusts. So seeing the fandom interpret this interaction as inherently romantic is ....well ...

And sure okay "let people have fun!!!" But you're doing a huge disservice to the themes of deltarune and in fact, the thing deltarune is critiquing. I find that sad.

Everyone loves the wlw ship, but not as much as the mlm one, so they’re just sidelined. “Oh, but most women in media aren’t written well!” So? Fandom has completely remixed male characters for the sake of the ship. Make an AU. Change the setting. Put your own spin on the characters. I hate fandom misogyny so much.
