I just recently lost my job and am in need of help. Some of you may recognize me as xXAonoNYmouSPXx from AO3 and FF.net. Now I’m here to confess the real reason why I haven’t updated, and let’s be frank here. Fanfics, as much as I enjoy them, do not send me to school. Yes, I am a working student all this time so you can imagine that when I’m not busy with college, I have to work but now I lost that source of income. My earnings are small, but it’s enough to pay my tuition for each semester.

I am not asking for donations (although I will gratefully accept them), so I am here to offer my services.

Why are people still questioning the chapter 699?? it shows sasuke is the most misunderstood character not just by antis but by pros (some) as well..

They portray sasuke as a restricted person who was incapable of feeling emotions coz of his so called revenge while forgetting the fact that the reason sasuke left the village was because he felt too much for team7.. which he started to consider as the weakness of his heart.. As long as he is with sakura and naruto, sasuke cannot completely embrace the hatred hence he locks away the emotions he already felt towards them,  the time he shared with them  “his happy memories” and leaves the village to sacrifice himself and his future for the sake of the past.

“His true place would have been a future among them” 

“To be lost, to be weak, his ‘precious comrades’ smiles, that is what Sasuke decides to abandon” 

“His heart desires the light, the future he has with team 7. but the shadow of revenge caused by Itachi, the shadow which becomes the darkness and the mind surrounded by darkness denies the light” 

“Friendship and love, a future filled with warmth. But as long as he is there, he cannot make his dream come true. This is why he throws away a future with his team. To make dreams of revenge a reality”

“Sakura, who needed him to the last. His words are not a deceit but his true feelings”

“Kakashi : sasuke, Give up on revenge….its not as though he does not understand his teacher. That is why he feels anguish”

Above quotes(a few) are meant to show how strong sasuke’s feelings were towards sakura, naruto & kakshi even in the period of his accent to darkness.

Its shocking that pros (some) also downplay the poke just like antis.. what does the history of the poke has got anything to do with SS?. the emotions he shared with itachi is personal for sasuke and sasuke alone, sasuke is not obligated to share them with sakura. he will do it when he thinks the time is right (during their private moments). 

That poke was not meant for sakura. It was meant for the readers/viewers, who have been part of the sasuke journey from the beginning and knows how much that gesture meant to him so that they can understand the importance of that moment. the poke was used to show sasuke’s side of expressing his feeling which is paralleled to chap 181 where we see the sakura’s side of expressing her feelings. Since the main factor “sasuke’s eyes” were concealed from the viewers. if u remember, this has been a thing in SS equation. whenever sasuke shows strong emotions towards sakura kishimoto deliberately conceals his eyes, the only time we were allowed see one of those vulnerable moment was the “hospital scene” and the only other character to see that was naruto,why do think naruto takes a backstep and supports ss through out the series??;P .. Even sakura was kept in dark or else she would have known sasuke feelings a lot earlier  (chap 181) and it would have destroyed the their theme/ context of the shonen plot. hence in chap 699 that eyes facing her becomes exclusive for sakura, it was sasuke’s emotions and his promise are what made sakura to understand his true feelings, this is the reason why that poke for sakura (for ss) becomes better-than-a-kiss because it was the gesture of the beginning of their love and the promise of the future to come, it was sasukes emotion that gave the importance to the poke for sakura (for ss) not the other way around.. Once again this has got nothing to with sasuke’s treasured memories with itachi (different people-> different context->different meaning). 

kindly try to understand that in asian culture u promise a future to a person because are in love with them, not because u think that person has the potential for u to fall in love with them in the said future (this is a traditional Japanese series, not a western one).. Every couple in naruto starts a relation/dating/ marriage only after they fall in love with each other, not before not during..the love just grows more and more as they start their journey of love.
